Chapter 36: Cloning Cells.

Qin Qianyu knew what they were waiting for, but she wasn't about to announce it to this doctor they just met.

She just gave the doctor a puzzled look as if she didn't know what he was asking of her.

Since Qin Qianyu wasn't going to answer the doctor decided to leave it at that.

He gave his recommendations from the data they had on hand. Qin Qianyu accepted some of what he suggested, because her medical knowledge wasn't as sound as her knowledge in medical science, namely biochemistry, she could draw the distinction to what he had suggested.

The pair thanked the doctor and started to leave. Just as they were going, Qin Qianyu noticed how the doctor seemed to be having a dilemma with his thoughts.

Suddenly he called out which caused Qin Qianyu and grandpa Wú to stop in their tracks as they turned to Doctor Cao they saw the excited look on his face.

"Cell cloning! You're thinking of cloning Mr Wú's stem cells if you clone another human to create another being on the same molecular level as Mr Wú, you'll be able to replace his damaged organs."

"Human cloning would be unethical on many levels, creating organs and replacing them one at a time wouldn't work either because of the multiple and invasive operations required and by the time the next organ is ready the state of the the other organs would be detrimental to the new organs, and they might not even take."

"What we want to do is find a non intrusive method of managing the illness."

After saying as much Qin Qianyu took grandpa Wú by the hand and left the office.

She had thought about what doctor Cao had mentioned and more. She just lacked information at this point and taking grandpa Wú gave her enough information to start making a defensive start in treating the old man.

"Grandpa are you hungry?"

"Not yet, but if you're peckish I'll follow."

Qin Qianyu shook her head. She reached into her bag and retrieve a 5 form pill for grandpa Wú.

"Grandpa, there's one more thing I want to do while I'm here. I just need to head to Sunset Realestate before we head home."

"Oh right, the home you're buying. Hmm, you know I could've just given you my place right?"

"It's more rewarding because this was bought by me myself from what I earned."

"Alright, I can understand that much, whatever you like."

"Great, let's head there now then."

Qin Qianyu had already paid the deposit and would be coming to sign off on the property and pay for the house in full.

She'll also get some recommendations from them on reliable contractors to complete the renovations she wants done.

They soon arrived at the realestate office. Because they were in a motorcade there wasn't anywhere to park their vehicles.

After driving for some time, Qin Qianyu got out while the entourage went to look for parking nearby.

Qin Qianyu had Grandpa Wú stay and rest in the car while she went into the office.

Soon after getting off her phone rang,

"Grandpa is anything the matter?"

"Mhm, it seems there's no parking for several blocks so we'll just driver around the block till you're finished your business there."

"Sorry grandpa, if it's more convenient how about you find a hotel to rest in till our return flight? Or a restaurant, I'm sure the boys are bound to be hungry too!"

"It's fine, we'll just drive around the block till you're done. Don't worry about us, go do your thing."

"Okay, I won't be too long then, let's go and eat after this and I'll treat the boys too they've been so super helpful today. I'll find us a restaurant with a large private room for the 14 of us after I'm done here alright."

The two guards that were in the same car as grandpa Wú had heard what she said because grandpa Wú had his phone on speaker.

They were touched when they heard her say that she would personally treat them to a meal.

"Mhm, alright. But don't rush these things. Signing off on those documents require time to read through them all so don't rush on our behalf."

"Got it, alright I'm heading in now."

The call ended and Qin Qianyu entered the building.

The receptionist had seen Qin Qianyu walk in off the street, she looked at her like she were a pauper and acted as if she didn't even see her.

A middle aged couple had gotten off a late model sports car and entered shortly after Qin Qianyu did.

The receptionist stood up and bowed as she welcomed the two. Qin Qianyu cocked an eyebrow at the receptionist but said nothing as she typed away at on her phone.

As they received the welcome the pair walked towards the receptionist to make some inquiries.

The man caught a glimpse of Qin Qianyu's side profile and started to ogled her who was in front of them.

This action annoyed the woman at his side.

The couple started walking faster and the woman went to nudge Qin Qianyu with her shoulder. However, Qin Qianyu noticed the woman's action in a reflection and moved out of the way gracefully which caused the woman to shoulder barge nothing but air and so she stumbled before falling on her face.

"What's your problem!? Why are you causing problems for others here?"

The receptionist cried out in anger, defending the couple. Her question however puzzled Qin Qianyu but after a second Qin Qianyu quickly understood.

"How dare you push my woman! I have the good mind to sue you for hurting her!"

The man shouted loudly at Qin Qianyu, as he looked at her angrily, he couldn't stop the lewd expression he was making as he eyed her so.

"Sir, Ma'am, I think that's a good idea, people like her only learn their lesson once the law is involved."

The receptionist was being biased towards the couple.

"This a realestate office! Please conduct yourself accordingly or I'll have to involve the law. Let me remind you, this isn't the place for your kind. You walk out in off the street, cause a scene, what's your angle here huh!? If you don't apologise to this woman right now then you'll leave me no choice but to side with them if they decide to sue you for intentionally harming her."

Hearing her say as much to Qin Qianyu, others started adding more fuel to the nonexistent fire by putting their 10 yuan worth in, in support of the aggrieved couple.

Qin Qianyu rolled her eyes, she was only here to sign a few papers,

"Tsk! How boring is your life that you have to cause such a scene or make me your target"

Qin Qianyu thought to herself. She remained calm and collected and just said flatly,

"How did her falling over her own feet become me! Intentionally harming her? Don't you have cameras here? Look! There's one right there! I'm so glad that you're such a law abiding citizen let's all review the footage of me harming her when you call the police here."

The receptionist was stunned, as was the couple and the few workers and guest in the lobby.

Qin Qianyu didn't care at this point, she quickly added,

"Listen here, so what if I just walked in from the street, in the end you're a paid worker here. A receptionist. You are the face of the company because you are the first thing clients see when they walk in."

"So!?"

"So your face represents the company's face. Your actions and everything you do, are representative of the company's actions, your words represent the company's words. You yourself have taken a disliking to a potential customer with all these things you've done, because of your personal bias."

"Hahaha, you're a funny one you know that! How could you ever be a potential client, you walked off the damn street. We don't deal in rental properties we sell high end properties in the 10s and 100s of millions. Who are you trying to fool. If you can even afford even the lowest priced property here, I'll hand in my resignation after you sign the paperwork."

Qin Qianyu wasn't that angry, she was just annoyed at the woman. But in the end Qin Qianyu knew she would have the last laugh both today and in the future.

The property that she's buying right now, she's practically buying for a pork bun. In 6 years, the prices for these properties will skyrocket with the most inexpensive one of the lot pricing around 380 million of yuan.

And better yet, the property she'll be signing off on today is the best of the lot. She really couldn't complain.

So when the receptionist made her arrogant statement and even made such an agreement with Qin Qianyu, she wouldn't back down.

Qin Qianyu waved the phone in her hand, she had sent the property manager she was in contact with a message that she was in the lobby here to sign the paperwork and pay the full amount, but she left out that she was being berated by another employee of the company, the receptionist.

The manager had come down, he was excited because this property had been a hard one to sell because of its price range. However, when he came down that excitement turned to shock and anger because he witnessed how the receptionist was treating his client, he watched the entire thing.

But he even felt worst, because, not only was Qin Qianyu here to sign and pay in full she was also looking for a suitable contractor for extra work on the property which would also net him a finders fee along with the commission he'll make from the contractor for recommending them.

He watched as Qin Qianyu waved her phone at the receptionist as she spoke,

"Cool, well you said it, so, it's a deal then, I have it recorded right here which will be a binding verbal contract between the two of us."

Qin Qianyu smiled then turned to the manager that was standing not to far away.

She had remembered his photo which was attached to the online listing and recognised him straight away.

"Ah Mr Sun, your timing is impeccable. I have a small request if I may,"

"Miss Qin, welcome to Sunset. Please speak freely, I'll do my utmost to accommodate you."

The receptionist, the couple and several other staff were gobsmacked when they saw their boss being extremely friendly with the person that walked in from the street.

Qin Qianyu nodded then cooly pointed at the receptionist.

"Instead of using your office can we settle our business here in front of your receptionist? You see we have a running bet bound by a verbal agreement. Could you possibly satisfy this small request."

"Of course we can Miss Qin, please give me a moment to collect the paperwork and the keys to your new home and I'll be right back."

Qin Qianyu nodded with a smile and gave a small applause as she stated elatedly,

"Hohoho! You have my thanks kind sir."

The receptionist stared wide eyed at the cool and collected Qin Qianyu then quickly to her own boss who was staring daggers of death at her before he disappeared into his office and returned with all the things he needed.

"Miss Qin, before we get started is there anything else I could do for you?"

"Oh now that you mentioned it, can I have a copy of all your security cameras here in the lobby? you see, that couple over there have decided to sue me with the receptionist and several others here as their witnesses. I have no other choice but to start building up my defence for when I counter sue their claims."

Qin Qianyu says as she looked everyone over. She smiled when she saw the remorseful looks on their faces. She then continued,

"I believe the security camera would prove that this couple were being insincere so I'll counter sue them for malicious slandering, blackmail and purchasing fake testimonies from several people here for monetary gain."

"Sure Miss Qin, that's only something easy, it's not a problem at all. I can also recommend a good law office if you'd like?"

"It's fine, I'll just use the family lawyers for something so inconsequential as this, you have my thanks Mr Sun."

Qin Qianyu didn't mess about after that, there was a motorcade doing laps around the block and they should be very hungry so she wanted to hurry.

Mr Sun gave her a portfolio of the contractor he recommended and she reviewed their work.

She scanned the QR code which gave her access to a 3D walk through render of the properties they had worked on.

Qin Qianyu was impressed with what was seen and thanked Mr Sun again for finding such a contractor.

She signed off on all the necessary paperwork without trouble and made a bank transfer into the realestate's account and took ownership for the property there and then.

"Miss Qin how about I treat you to a meal?"

"That's not necessary Mr Sun, I already made plans so I must decline. Besides, I think you'll be a bit busy here."

Qin Qianyu quipped as she cast a glance at the receptionist. The couple had left long ago when they saw that the situation wasn't going in their favour or looking good.

"Miss Qin let me apologise for her, don't worry, I won't keep her here in my office, since she made the verbal agreement herself."

Qin Qianyu just smiled and gave a slight nod

"Alright, I won't hold you up any longer, please do enjoy the rest of your day Miss Qin, and also congratulations on your new purchase."

She spent a total of 88 million on her purchase today, this price excluded the contractors fee for the work she wanted done, she'll still need to sort that out when the time came.

The sales she made from the 5 form pills was still coming in, in drips and drabs but it was steady and her account was already in excess of 100 million just from the pills.

She had earned around 70 million to date on treatments for clients so, she wasn't fazed one bit.

She wasn't really worried about the money, her main point was settled.

She and her family now had their own home in the capital and she couldn't be happier about it.

Qin Qianyu left Sunset realestate and waited on the side of the road for the motorcade. She felt an unpleasant feeling and looked up to see the receptionist staring daggers at her.

She was carrying a box filled with her personal belongings and waited on the side of the road also.

A sports car pulled up and a man hopped out in a fluster.

"Fanfan! Don't be upset it's a lousy job anyway but this is the perfect opportunity, you can join me at my office."

"Chen gege! I'm so mad! And it's all because of her!"

The receptionist cried out indignantly. The man looked at Qin Qianyu angrily and asked what had happened.

The receptionist told him leaving nothing out but when it came to her bet she placed all blame on Qin Qianyu, stating she was forced to agree to it by Qin Qianyu herself.

"Have you already forgotten that I have it recorded? How have you managed to live this long being so dumb!?"

The receptionist was stunned, she actually did forget. The man that came for the receptionist was about to act out and teach Qin Qianyu a lesson but his thoughts were disrupted by the sound of several loud and beefy engines.

The motorcade had arrived and a car stopped in front of Qin Qianyu. The receptionist and the man with her watched in silence as the scene played out.

All the guards except the drivers got out and formed two rows making an isle for her as they opened the car door for her.

"Miss Qin sorry for making you wait, it's all because of the parking situation in this part of the city."

"It's fine, thanks for driving around the block while I was doing business, how many laps did you guys manage?"

"16 laps Miss Qin,"

"Alright, let's head to Jade Courtyard, I called ahead already and made the reservation."

"Yes Miss,"

Qin Qianyu said nothing more and got into the car. The receptionist and the man next to her were still sweating bullets long after the cars had left.

The man was grateful that he was slow to act and didn't do anything to Qin Qianyu. He said nothing and just dragged the frightened former receptionist into his car and drove away.
