Chapter 49: Strategies.

Qin Qianyu stayed at the gate pretending to talk with the "Doctor" then she nodded to no one and made her way to Sun Tongyu and Chen Jiang.

"Forgive me for arriving at such a time, I hope you won't blame me,."

"Not at all. Thank you very much Miss, because of you, my husband was saved, please accept my gratitude."

Chen Jiang fell to her knees but Qin Qianyu was quicker and lifted the woman up.

"Ma'am! You don't have to do this, I was told you'll be thanking me with dog food instead."

" . . . "

Chen Jiang was stunned stupid by what Qin Qianyu just said, as too was Sun Tongyu.

Qin Qianyu was trying her best to sell the fact that she and the fox were two different people.

"Miss Qin, this is my friend Chen Jiang, please do come in and meet with Li Yuan and you'll be able to have a good chat with him."

Chen Jiang nodded in agreement to Sun Tongyu's words.

The trio entered and met with Li Yuan, after introductions were done they engaged in idle chitchat before discussing the factory.

"Miss Qin, on behalf of my husband, thank you for sending us that Doctor, she did something even the surgeons at the hospital couldn't do. We are all truly thankful."

Qin Qianyu just smiled and nodded as Chen Jiang spoke,

"Now I know what she meant when she said if she didn't wear the mask she'd never be able to rest a day! She'd be inundated every second for her medical skills."

Everyone in the room made comments about the Fox, Qin Qianyu included.

She told them all about the incident involving Owen Xi and what he tried to do at an auction and how she had "witnessed" the Fox kicking him away because of his arrogant actions.

The trio were all shocked then they all started running down the popular idol.

"Speaking of kicks, I've already sent people to investigate the matter of your attack and with the other things too. The Fox and I seem to be of the same mind, it we're right, then we'll help you seek redress for your unfair treatment."

"Miss Qin you've already done enough for me, Sending that your doctor friend to help me as part of the deal is already plenty."

"You don't have to mind all of that, I had already actioned it when I was going to buy the factory,"

Sun Tongyu, Chen Jiang and Li Yuan looked at Qin Qianyu puzzlingly, the look was asking if they heard and understood what she had just said.

Sun Tongyu couldn't hold back and asked her anxiously,

"Miss Qin, you . . are you saying that you no longer want to buy the factory?"

"That's right, I've changed my mind. I will no longer be buying Mr Li's factory. Instead I'm hoping to form a cooperative relationship by making an investment."

"That way, you'll have time to find a similar property like Mr Li's for my own needs and I'll be able to find a team of skilled workers and management personnel for when I start my pharmaceutical company."

Qin Qianyu explained her reasons for doing so, but Chen Jiang believed that Qin Qianyu had been influenced by the Phantom Fox.

During her conversation with the fox, she had spoke about how Li Yuan started off as a regular worker and worked hard to reach a management level.

He had even paid for up skilling courses and classes out of his own money.

When they were offered the opportunity to purchase the factory, the couple had sold the home they shared in the lower district to pay for the factory and used what other money they had to buy this small home.

When Li Yuan took over he had made many changes that were first met with resistance but then, when the results of the changes showed a great improvement, all of the workers started seeing the benefits.

Li Yuan then sent certain workers to up skill themselves not only at the company's expense but from his own pocket because he believed that productivity would not only increase but also improve.

Chen Jiang's thoughts were true, Qin Qianyu had been influenced. But it was by the couple themselves.

She saw how Li Yuan and his wife weren't at all money or power hungry people.

She understood them to be people of integrity and of wanting to make a difference not make an extra yuan.

They wanted to enrich and enhance the lives of the people that worked for them so instead of taking that away from them she decided to help them achieve their aspirations.

"Mr Li, if you agree to it, the company will still be yours, the investment I'll be making will be as a partnership between your factory and my own . . . When I eventually get one."

She decided to have them start making her medications and products that'll be sold on the market.

This would not only help them with work, it'll also help Qin Qianyu establish her brand.

It took some back and forwards but in the end she and Li Yuan finally came to an agreement.

Firstly, the main point was to make sure that there were no more hidden dangers regarding the factory.

That included filtering out the workers that had not only attacked Li Yuan and even vandalised their home, they were the ones that had turned their back on Li Yuan and the company, that meant that he didn't need them and that they should also be punished for what they've done.

"Mr Li, I know that feel an attachment to your workers and I truly get that, but, the Phantom Fox already told me that you would have died by the end of the week due to the effects of the attack."

" . . . "

Li Yuan had been told this already, along with the explanation that the hospital gave his wife he was truly blessed that Qin Qianyu sent the fox to heal him.

Yet despite that, he felt that the workers had no choice and had become victims themselves and he couldn't find fault with that.

When Qin Qianyu heard him she frowned,

"He's too soft hearted, this is beyond naivety!"

"Wether they were goaded into attacking you or if they did it of their own volition, they'll need to be punished accordingly. If it were your wife would you go, "it's fine buddy, you had your reasons why she had to die!" or would you want them all to face the consequences of their actions?"

"Your right, sorry. Miss Qin, I fully agree to the first term."

Qin Qianyu added that just because they did what they did and he'll do what needs to be done, that it shouldn't stop him from hiring new people and giving them the treatment that those that betrayed him would have gotten.

"Both you and your wife have a good heart, it'll be the ones that betrayed you that will come to regret."

Secondly, Qin Qianyu will provide the recipes for 8 products that would exclusively be made by Li Yuan's factory and his factory will need to source the ingredients needed.

"Well, Mr Li, here's to our fruitful cooperation. I won't hold you up anymore. Thank you all for seeing me at such a time."

"You're welcome Miss Qin, I sincerely thank you for everything you've done for us."

Before she left, she both had them sign the confidentiality contract. As with all the others before them that had signed, they too were shocked when they learnt about her age.

This was a great thing as it fully cemented the fact in their minds that she and the fox were two different people.

Qin Qianyu left the Li household and headed back to the hotel.

Qin Qianyu was a little exhausted mentally and couldn't wait to curl up in her bed.

After washing up she did just that. Qin Qianyu laid there and turned off her brain to make it easier to fall asleep.

She had a big day in the morning as she'll be heading to Wú Dang and training there with Lin Xie and introduce Su Yin to some self defence lessons.

Unfortunately, Qin Qianyu's brain wasn't shut off completely. She had a restless night that included a shitty dream.

Her body clock still woke her up when needed.

She got up, but in a sour mood.

"Stupid dream! Looks like I'll have to come up with some strategies of my own! . . But first, toilet!"

Qin Qianyu's dream was a combination of the things that Li Yuan had gone through and what Song Zhaoge and Murong Meimei had done.

What had made the dream worst was that, the faces of Wen Wú Ping, Owen Xi, Song Yu, Tang Su Li, Liu Chen and even the handsome wolf where merging with that of Song Zhaoge.

It was their faces but she knew it was Song Zhaoge or at the most a ghost of him.

The same happen with Murong Meimei, her face was with the likes of Wen Wú Ling, Lu Mingxi, Lu Mingyu, Xiaoting, Zhang Qingmei and Su Yin.

All of them had been calculating and scheming against her, they even went after her parents and her little sibling and succeeded.

Not even Grandpa Wú, granny Liu or Bai Saan were spared.

Grandpa Wú had become some melted ooze and bone zombie hybrid after taking a pill she had made to counter the radiation in his body.

Grandpa Wú stood still only extending an arm and pointing a boney accusatory finger at her.

Song Zhaoge, with his and Wen Wú Ting 's face melded together laughed hysterically at her failure to notice they had tampered with the medicine she painstakingly made.

The dream then took a turn, it was an awards ceremony for movie stars.

A dead Bai Saan was its main attraction.

Bai Saan had all its teeth and claws pulled out, his eyes and tongue removed.

Murong Meimei was wearing the skinned tiger as a one piece, his eyes, she had fashioned into earrings, and his claws and teeth into a necklace and bracelet.

The large tongue was made into a bridle for granny Liu.

Murong Meimei waved ceremoniously as she came down the red carpet dressed in Bai Saan whilst riding a frail granny Liu.

Murong Meimei had made granny Liu into her pet. She obeyed every command Murong Mei gave her without fail.

Everything she had worked hard to achieve, all the people she wanted to protect, gone. It was all taken away from her once again.

Qin Qianyu sat seated on the toilet, face in her hands. She found it extremely hard to readjust and equalise her emotions.

They were still reeling from the dream and it was pissing her off, literally.

She finished off her business and washed up before starting her breathing exercises.

However, 10 minutes in, Qin Qianyu didn't feel right. Her chest started tightening and soon it constricted her breathing.

"Am . . Am I having a panic attack!?"

Qin Qianyu started heaving then she coughed out copious amounts of blood.

She picked up her phone and made a panicked call.

Her breathing hadn't evened out when it was answered,

"Xiaoyu, what's the matter? What's wrong!?"

An anxious voice sounded out,

"Grandfather! . . . Blood, so much blood!"

"What happened where are you!?"

Qin Qianyu managed to get her breathing sorted and under control just long enough to relay all of what had transpired to Grandpa Wú.

He coached her over the phone and after a few moments she had regulated herself.

"Haise! I've told you plenty of times to leave the adult stuff for when you're an adult."

"I know but, what's that got to do with what's happening to me!?"

"What you just went through was a backlash, it happened because you weren't in the right state of mind."

"Xiaoyu, although you're brilliant with a lot of things like medicine, book smarts and science stuff, even the things I'm teaching you, you have to remember that your brain only turn 15 not so long ago. There's only so much stress it can handle like everything else on our bodies."

"I mean, there are even adults out there that can't even "adult" themselves, let alone cope or deal with a single toe nail of the things you've been doing. A lot of this stuff, these things can wait for later."

" . . . "

"Come home now, the things in the capital will still be in the capital for you to see another day and they won't run away or be taken away just because you're not there."

"But . . "

"No buts!, the things you did and bought at the meetings yesterday! Were you here a few days ago? a month ago? 2 months ago? No you weren't and you still got them. Come home now, I'll be waiting for you at arrivals."

"Yes Grandpa Wú, I'll send everyone a message and head to the airport right now."

"Mhm, the jet's already there just show your e-ticket."

"Okay Grandpa Wú, see you soon."

Qin Qianyu sent a mass message stating her intentions and apologised profusely for leaving abruptly. She quickly packed up, checked out and took the Advent Umbra to the airport.

Qin Qianyu parked the car in the same spot and board the jet.

When she landed back in her city, she was met by Grandpa Wú standing there in his slippers and pyjamas.

His bed hair stuck up resembling a rooster. He even looked like one as Qin Qianyu saw him pacing back and forth while waiting for her.

It was obvious to her that he came here as soon as the call ended in the early morning hours. It was now mid morning but he didn't care one bit for his outer appearance or what the other travellers thought.

Qin Qianyu's heart warmed instantly upon seeing the crazy looking unkempt old man.

When their eyes meet, tears started to build in Qin Qianyu's eyes. She ran straight to him and into Grandpa Wú's warm welcoming embrace.

She cried for a long time into the crook of his neck as she squeezed him tightly and Grandpa Wú let her.

After a long while, Qin Qianyu calmed down and sniffed hard while still in Grandpa Wú's embrace,

"Grandpa,"

"Hmm? What is it?"

"You smell funny,"

"Hmph!"

"That my child is the smell of regret coming off your damn upper lip!"

"Pfft!"

"Xiaoyu,"

"Hmm?"

"Welcome home."
