Chapter 101: Asuras rage.

As Grandpa Wú left his room. Hao Zhiming was none the wiser. He slept like a log, not even knowing that his masked rescuer and escort had left.

Meanwhile, back in the capital, lawyers for Tang Mu had been on the offensive, painting Tang Mu as the unfortunate victim of the riot that was sparked almost a day ago.

The lawyers came up with the idea to prove that the old man and Wu Yihuan were known criminals who would scam people, targeting mostly the naively wealthy.

To get out of the hole if these guys were ever caught, they found a criminal with the same name as Wu Yihuan and changed the picture on file to look similar to Wu Yihuan.

The team of lawyers went on a titanic smear campaign against Wu Yihuan and the elderly shop keeper in defence of Tang Mu.

Tang Mu was currently in one of the stations interview rooms giving his explanation.

"Like I've been saying, they are the real criminals not me. Did I go overboard? Not at all I gave them more than enough for that book I wanted to purchase. The woman wanted more and attacked me."

Suddenly, a knock on the door interrupted the interview.

"Sir, the elderly shop owner has passed away."

The investigator nodded and waved the officer off. He turned to Tang Mu and with a cocked eyebrow asked,

"Did you hear that? . . A man is dead now. The man you hit."

Tang Mu snorted then laughed at the man, and with a smug look shrugged his shoulders as he added,

"How is that my fault? . . I saw a video of that old man getting up and asking your riot police for help. If you really want to pin his death on someone, then go look for those three that had beat him."

The investigator scowled and started berating Tang Mu,

"This entire thing started from you, from what you did and the riot you caused. Those officers were obeying their commands to restore public order. They wouldn't have been there if not for you and your men doing what you and they did and especially throwing out your family's name to intimidate the young officers that arrived at the scene first."

" . . . "

"Don't think that you're so slick that you can escape responsibility for all of this."

Tang Mu was about to lash out. The man next to him held him back then replied in his stead.

"I think my client has answered all your queries right? . . So why are you still keeping him here? Our team has already uncovered that the shop owner and the woman were already in cohorts together, why are you dragging this out more than it has too?"

"Heh! . . Why are you investigating key people before the police?"

" . . . "

The lawyer had no response for that.

Inside three other interview rooms, the elder and the two goons that were with Tang Mu at the time of the incident gave their investigators a similar story.

Their employer was attacked by the woman and man and he fought back. They intervened and their wounds were the results of that.

The elder had attacked to protect Tang Mu as it was his job as head of his personal security detail.

The all claimed the two people involved, Wu Yihuan and the shop keep we're the aggressor in this altercation. They too labeled the pair as greedy swindlers.

Soon, all four investigators received a call. They were to release all four people of the Tang family that were brought in for questioning.

The did so begrudgingly.

The investigating team could do nothing but watch as Tang Mu and his men all walked out of the station smugly.

"Sir, what do we do now?"

"We only let them go for now. But, that doesn't mean we should stop investigating. Go find me anything to stick to Tang Mu. I want you all to go through everything with a fine tooth comb."

"We understand."

Outside the station Tang Mu was ecstatic. He did as he had promised his mother and "fixed" the problem at hand.

The smear tactic was working and all public opinion started to shift in Tang Mu's favour.

The lawyers held another press conference and spoke of how Tang Mu and his men were cooperative with law enforcement and that they have all been let go.

This helped with the smear campaign that they were running against Wu Yihuan and the shop keeper.

"If Mr Tang and his associates were guilty of anything especially, causing a riot, then the police wouldn't have let them go hours after raiding his property."

"We like to extend our thanks to the public for their unwavering support and also to the police for their due diligence and we also hope that the real culprits of this are swiftly dealt with."

The lawyers then reiterated the fact that, Wu Yihuan and the shop keep where scums that preyed on the wealthy to line their own pockets and that they were both part of the surge of "accident scams" that had been plaguing the country lately.

The general public soon agreed and they too started to voice their shared and unbiased hatred of scammers.

The last thing that the lawyers added was that they would now start offical proceedings to sue media companies for slander against Tang Mu.

The lawyers specifically pointed out Véridique for their mass coverage of all this drama.

When the lawyers said this, many of the media companies that had been following this and with Véridique as their source started to panic.

They soon got calls to halt all activity related to Tang Mu and the "Tang Riot".

At the hospital, staff that were supposed to be caring for Wu Yihuan all had a change of attitude towards her.

Ever since the press conference that had all unilaterally labeled her pure scum. A nurse on duty even spat on Wu Yihuan's face when she came in to change her intravenous bag.

She recorded it all and even zoomed in of the sudds as it slowly dripped off of Wu Yihuan's unconscious face.

"Scamming scumbag,"

The woman added.

She wasn't the only one. Several other staff members of that hospital started doing the same thing or similarly disgusting.

Some women were even trying to appeal to Tang Mu with their actions by claiming to be fans of the handsome young man.

All of this that was happening to and around her was unknown to Wu Yihuan. The outcome of their fates won't be settled with an apology.

However, she was unconscious and could only act once she wakes.

Back at the Asura temple, Qin Qianyu was also in a similar situation. However it wasn't spit from a nurse that covered her face, but from Bai Saan instead,as he lapped at her with his large tongue whilst she lay unconscious on the room floor.

Qin Qianyu woke up and found herself on the ground still, but there were lights as bright as suns all around her.

She took stock of her surroundings and found that the lights were coming from lit touches in the room.

Qin Qianyu soon spotted the pond she was just at. The large flower that sat in the middle of it was a humongous version of what she knew it as.

She soon heard agitated voices. She knew it was a foreign language, but for some reason she understood it clearly.

"I honestly didn't do anything! I swear,"

"Heh! You're saying it just "popped up" out of nowhere."

"That's right! . . I've done this routine a billion times now, why do you think I called for you, you've done this a billion more times than I have."

In the distance, Qin Qianyu could see two people auguring over something. She rubbed her eyes and looked around at the clean room.

"Is . . Am I dreaming right now?"

As soon as Qin Qianyu muttered those words, the two people stopped talking and turned to her. The woman eyed Qin Qianyu, then her eyes fixated on the Jade around her neck.

"Who are you and how did you get here little one?"

The once angry voice turned soft as did the woman's facials as she questioned Qin Qianyu.

"You . . You can see me?"

"Hahaha, in a sense yes. In another, no. You are here, yet you're not here."

"Huh? . . "

"Wait! . . Am I dead?"

"You were once, then you weren't. But now, . . . You are very close."

Panic soon set in Qin Qianyu's heart. The woman saw this and stood up to go comfort her.

Qin Qianyu looked up at the woman,

"So huge!"

She says as she falls on her butt. The woman was a Titan. She easily surpassed 12 foot.

"You're a true Titan! . . A real Asura."

"Mhm, that's right. And so are you little one."

The woman says, as she gently picked the wide eyed Qin Qianyu up.

"I'm . . Im Asura too?"

"Mhm, well, you have Asura blood in you other wise you wouldn't be able to come here. May I check?"

"Will it hurt?"

"Haha, no. It won't hurt."

The woman closed her eyes for a brief moment before she opened them and smiled.

"You have the lineage blood of Kama."

"The Asura Kama bloodline is very special and is passed on from mother to daughters and so on."

"It's special? . . What makes it special?"

"You haven't noticed it yet? . . "

" . . . "

"What do you know about the Asura?"

"They are strong, vengeful and like . . violence, and stu . . ff,"

"Mhm, that's right, and wrong . . Haha."

"You like your riddles huh?"

"Haha."

The woman laughed then gave an explanation as to what her lineage means.

"If you suffered from something so traumatic it can trigger your bloodline. We call this Asuras Rage. Triggering this can either be detrimental or advantageous to you."

"Advantageous? . . How?"

"Well, just like what you've experienced, you are able to bypass the pool of reincarnation. How far it takes you is determined by the amount of karma you've gathered."

"Wait, you can tell I've come back from before? Before all of this?"

"That's right. I'm not reading your mind or anything like that. Rather, I'm reading your aura."

"Every being has their own personal aura, if those of the Asura lineage arrive here it's mainly due to resentment or jealousy. It's hardly ever for someone like you. You have the aura of raw vengeance, of a woman scorned, an unwillingness to allow your enemies to live."

" . . . "

"Don't fret, it doesn't mean you're an evil person. If it were true that Asura are evil, we would have been wiped from existence a long time ago due to karma."

"Then why are you . . Ah, I mean we, why are we labelled as that of the evil path?"

"If you ask me, it was the doing of those damn Gods! . . Heh! So damn high and mighty! . . If they were so good, why the hell did they pose as one of us when Kama was choosing a husband from all the Asura. Hmph! Yet they have the nerve to label us demons."

The woman explained in depth that a god had come down to the Asura realm to spy on them. As such, he disguised himself as an Asura.

"He showed off his worth along with the other candidates and managed to win Kama's heart. However, it was soon found out that he was a god in disguise. In order to escape, that God killed Kama. This triggered Kama's bloodline."

"When she came back and the time for her to select her husband came around she used a different selection method."

"I guess she already knew what the outcome would be anyway,"

"Mhm, that's right. The person she chose for her wasn't part of the initial list of candidates, she didn't even wait for the selection, instead, she went straight to him. The only person she could trust, after what she went through."

"Oh, makes sense, I guess."

"He gifted her this lotus here, the perfect and most complete of any lotus. As a gift to her new husband, Kama took the essences of the flower and made an elixir for him."

"Wait!? What about the impostor!?"

"Ah . . Him? . . Kama stripped him of his power and sent him straight into the nether realm as punishment. He'll never able to enter the pool of reincarnation ever."

The woman then explained that the aura that she saw on Qin Qianyu is exactly the same as Kama which is why she knew that something tragic had happened to her allowing her to trigger her bloodline.

"Mhm, you're right. Something like what Kama had experienced, happened to me. So is that how I managed to come back?"

"That's right."

"So where is here exactly."

"Haha, knowing too much of something, is good for nothing."

"You got rhymes too! . . "

"Hahaha, you're funny little one. Okay that's enough of that. Here, take this as a parting gift. I'm sure it'll come in handy."

"Time for you to return, otherwise you'll never get back."

"Mhm, . . "

The woman placed her finger tip on top of Qin Qianyu's head. Her mind expanded and soon she couldn't sense anything anymore.

The white light was blinding, her eyes were closed but it was still so intense it was like they were still open. Qin Qianyu imagined that this must be what it meant to see that white light that everyone talks about.
