Yoongi's POV - 2032
Ok. I don't know why I have to get the shit end of things. I'm not fit to be a king. I don't even think I qualify to be a prince. I insist on telling my father to find someone else, say that they are my lost brother that is really supposed to be king because honestly...I'm not ready.
"Yoongi!!!!!"
That voice sounds all too familiar. Could it be...
"It's me! Your best and only friend in the whole kingdom."
"Hey, Hoseok." My best, and only friend, Hobi, is my light and sunshine. The only person getting me through these stupid times.
"We have to go to your father, remember? You have to get lessons or classes." he pauses. "You know, to be the king of this holy kingdom." Hobi changes his accent to that of someone in the crusades back in..a long time ago.
"Do I have to do that today? Can't it wait until another time" I didn't notice it, but I put my lips into a pout?
Hobi talks in a teasing tone, "Don't get all cute with me. You know I can't say no that those pouty lips." I stand up from my desk and push him slightly with a smile on my face.
"Alright, let's go." A few minutes pass, and we are walking in the town. Hobi drags me to get something to eat, much to my dislike, but I enjoy the meal anyway. I find myself staring into the unknown. I wish I didn't have to be up in this high position. I hate it this way. Can't I just have a normal life where I can do normal things without being singled out because I am the prince?
*****
As I watch Hobi eat his steaming food, something odd catches my eye. I turn my head to see an odd man in a hood. Who is that? I know basically everyone in my kingdom. It may sound weird, but a prince has to know who is in his kingdom. However, I've never seen this man before. He looks...magical. Ha, magic. Now you've lost it, Yoongi. What makes this situation even odder is the fact that he is wearing a coat or cloak? Who wears those? It's steaming hot outside. What is even weirder is that I am still staring at this man.
"Yoongi!"
"Huh? What?" Hobi looks at me with a worried look on his face. "What is it?"
"Well, I called your name like five times, and you seemed to be staring at nothing in particular." He pauses. "Or. You've been seeing someone!" Hobi taps his chin as if he achieved something.
"Yeah. Sure. Because someone would be interested." I roll my eyes and get up to continue our walk to the castle. My mind still lingers on about that man in the town. Something about him made my skin crawl, and I hoped to never see him again.
