MEETING

Anna woke up in the morning, did her exercise and chores and got a shower. She wore a white blouse and black pants with sneakers and got ready to go and meet Ben.

Ben had called her to a cafe, when she reached there she saw Ben sitting in casual clothes, his back was facing her so he could not see her.

She felt various emotions no love or sadness was left her heart that had become quite and empty for these months was suddenly in a turmoil, she was desperate to destroy them, to let them suffer through the hell and fire in which they made her suffer.

She saw that just two tables away there was a woman in a white dress sitting with her face covered with glasses and mask but Anna could clearly tell that it was Joannie, she calmed down her urge to slap and confront them and walked forward.

When Ben saw Anna he was dazed and thought 'She keeps becoming more beautiful ever since she stopped talking to me'

He remembered the time when Anna used to always buzz around him with admiring eyes, at that time he felt disgusted but beared it for Joannie, another person whom he was using to climb to the top.

But now that he looks at Anna he doesn't mind even if he had to play a fake boyfriend if he got the chance to taste the beauty in front of him.

Anna snapped her fingers to wake up the man from his thoughts, she started the conversation because she knew that if Ben started it he would start to use his honey coated words.

Anna: Hello, Mr. Roberts would you like to state the reason for calling me upon?

Ben: Hi Anna! Just because we haven't been in contact doesn't mean you should forget an old friend does it?

Anna: Well as much as I remember you were not my friend but my sisters and she was the one who let us meet so we can only be called acquaintances. Now if I may repeat myself what is the reason you called me?

Ben: oh..Um.. yeah I heard that you were going to start a new project so I would like to invest in it.

Anna: Yeah, that can happen.. But would you tell me the amount you want to invest? because we have another company that wants to invest a very high amount and we were already going to select them.

Ben: I would like to invest 50 millions according to the project.

Anna: Well, the other company I talked about is Eternity, their boss called me and said that they would like to expand in financial field too by investing in our project. They are currently offering 80 millions so they are obviously in the lead, but because you're one of my old acquaintances I would still like to give you a chance. You can send someone from your company to submit the proposal and I will tell you the decision after a meeting with the other shareholders. The deadline will be next week's Saturday. If there is nothing else I would like to take my leave. Good day.

Ben: Oh okay! Have a good day too Miss Halls.

Anna stood up and was going to leave when she felt Joannie's glare she smirked inwardly and left without looking back.

Ben was still rooted to his seat because he could not believe what just happened, he wanted to remind Anna of their memories together of the past and ask her to be his girlfriend but when Anna started the conversation in her business tone his mind started working differently and he immediately put in the proposal for the project.

He immediately stood up and called his assistant to talk about the proposal because he had to get this deal, he had seen the Halls Corp. grow in the recent years under Anna's leadership and knew that she was picky in her choices, the project was worth a lot do he had to make the perfect proposal.

Joannie on the other side was gritting her teeth because she sent Ben to manipulate Anna but the friendly meeting suddenly turned into a business meet and Ben also left we without her, she cursed and blamed Anna for everything and left.
