The Truth

I walked the corridor of the massive estate. The bustling sound of the residents greeted me as the sweet-savory smell of food lingered in the air. I found myself standing in front of glass doors, inside. I saw August, who appeared to be on his phone. He turned around as I opened the door. A smile on his boyish face, he ended the call placing the metallic black phone on the glass table, "What brings a lovely rose to my room?"

I looked at him, "You know what brings me here, August. The time has come, I am going to be blunt with you, and I advise you to take heed to what I am about to say to you, leave this area, because I know that you were the one to lace bane in my bar. That is the oldest and most tacky trick in the book. Your conclusion of us being something, I have something in my coat that will change your mind and something to get rid of the last shapeshifter, so, I think that it is best you vacate this realm and never return."

The boy smiled, "Barbaric, did Leonard send you? Is he hiding behind his wifey now? He needs to become a man and stop running away from his responsibilities."

I interrupted him by grabbing the collar of his shirt, " Know your place, you moon-faced troll!" I reach into my jacket pocket. My scythe now focused on his neck, the blade licking his flesh as blood drops escaped his wound.

"I love my women feisty, and you Graceona are one massive sin, a married woman and protecting her husband, this is delicious, you can run from my charms. But you; my freaky, morbid, arm candy. You will never be able to hide your love for me. Why torture yourself? When you can reap the harvest of a real man."

I smirked, digging my blade deeper, "Real man, huh? August, compared to the competition, you are but a deluded twelve-year-old, yet to hit puberty, and you want to be labeled as a man. You are but a huge mistake. A wrong thing that I intend to dispose of, here and now."

August scooted back as I moved forward, "Why so much anger towards me. I reunited you with your man candy. Leonard was the one who hid from the view of the world. Who is the one person who can say that they endured this stupid prophecy to the end without running away with his head in shame and his tail tucked."

"Not you, you abandoned hundreds of thousands of good men to save your skin, August. Do what you came to accomplish Graceona. I will happily take the blame for your actions."

I heard Nicolae behind me. I noticed that he had a weapon in his hands, "Dictators the Affliction Princes are cowards and Dictators!"

I heard August scream before I cut his head from his shoulders, my scythe returned to its gem stage. And I placed it in my pocket. I turned to look at Nicolae, who put the sword against the wall. "How long have you been standing there?"

Nicolae looked at me, "The act you just did, is far from being a mystery. The tension in the air; can easily be cut with a knife. The servants are uneasy, Christian had sent me to search for Leonard. But I found him passed out on your bed, drunk or knocked out, and judging by the stench in the room. I concluded that it was the first. I took Kourtney from the room. The child is in my room until the smell disperses because she would be a happy baby if she stayed in that room much longer."

"August laced my drinks with bane in hopes of gaining a good time. Leonard was upset when he came in. And got a little drunk, so I decided to come and look for August and put him down."

Nicolae looked at me, " At least the smell is explained, but Leonard being upset; is a huge understatement. He was furious. He handed August the truth in a savage amount. All the soldiers are wondering if Leonard is balanced enough to train them later, even down to the fact that they had got together and voted me to take his place. Of course, I refused. My prerogative is winning this war and getting my daughter back. The Affliction Warriors and their race are a Leonard problem. After this, Aria and I will be returning to Halcyon, where I will raise my daughter and find her a mother, the outcomes of this realm, Are something that I refuse to lose sleepover. I want my daughter in my arms safely. And I will work with whoever and whatever I have to; to see that I am successful."

"Sounds like a reasonable goal, however a little misleading. Stories from my childhood, my mother would tell me the realms will be whole, one world. The way it was back in the early 1500s. My mother had visions of this world in the Eternal Calm, though I had often heard stories about a glorious day when all the misery will stop, I somehow find it hard to believe."

"Your mother? She knew of the trials this world would face in this time."

I looked at him, " Marilyn, my mother was a Seeker. She had seen the battles we would face before the Siren elders. She would tell my father, who had moved on during the wars that began this madness. I was ten. And my mother told me, at my father's memorial. Of this world, and how the time of division, we all had to face. My father rests in Uzeterra. My mother often spoke of disappearing due to events in my life that she would rather not witness. My guess is she sleeps somewhere in Uzeterra with my father. Those two were inseparable, my father and mother." The memory brought a smile to my lips, "If what she says is true. Halcyon and Infernias will be no more. Back then, this world was made up mostly of Uzeterra but now a former glory. The New Uzeterra; is the reviving of the one of this time. The other realms. Ones that were created by the hands of these creatures will perish along with those who created them."

"Interesting, but what about the vampire, Afflicted Warriors, shapeshifters, seekers. What will our fates be?"

I looked at him, "Vampires were around back then, my father was one, Afflicted Warriors from what I have gathered, the Afflicted Warriors were around back then, but under another name. Afflicted Warriors were the remaining members of the Calvary, an Elite Rebellion group formed by my grandmother. After the death of Rita, they wandered around the world, some cut down, while others went through an evolution. Shapeshifters, we stand before the last of their kind. They will be no more. Seekers will still be around."

"Graceona, your not a Lupir. Your mother was a Lupir Seeker. If your father was a vampire, you should be a Vipir?"

" I am so a Lupir. What have I done to you to be labeled something as trashy as a Vipir? Vipirs are vipers without the 'e'. They both are dreadful creatures that need burning. Both are rude and uncivilized. Unfortunately, they will be in New Uzeterra. Mainly this is the reason why I refuse to believe this Eternal Calm nonsense, with the Vipirs thirst for power and the Lupirs desiring justice. Even in peaceful times, there would be bickering. Ammon and Ara both Vipirs. Sirens are no different, just different names. While some Vipirs wanted to be superior, the Siren race created. And the seven realms are created along with it, and all this craziness begins. A better, peaceful world will happen when the Vipirs are gone, every last one, both wicked and innocent. A Vipir is a Vipir.
