The new volume (volume 2) is going to take a few chapters to grt into the real fight scenes, and may be a bit slow at first, but I promise it's going to be spectacular to read as things even out.

Hakeem grew worried when Frieda started landing more and more dangerous hits on Quinn. They needed to take care of this before it got out of hand.


"You are letting your guard down. Check around for any other attackers"


Frieda tried resisting Hakeem's latest compulsion, but he knew that he was indeed letting his guard down. The fact that he could not die and didn't really need to have his guard up didn't factor into the situation


He let his guard down, and so he needed to check his surroundings for any other attackers.


He turned his head around and scanned the room for only a split second, but that split second was all that Quinn needed.


Quinn moved fast and got close to Frieda in a split second
