Chapter 26

"Oh my god, it worked!" Someone shouted. It was a great boost to their morale as the body refining fighters arrived at where Zhao Xieren and Li Cheng were. It was a mighty target that the previous group from the Fire Sword Sect were having trouble with.

Looking at the jade bracelets, they saw that their points had increased by 15 points, boosting them to 8th place.

Calming them down, Zhao Xieren quickly said, "Alright, let's have some tiger meat for dinner tonight." It was a good way to end the day as everyone roasted and ate the higher quality spiritual beast meat knowing that it was very important for their physiques.

Personally, Qian Yu felt he was close to breaking through to the 8th stage of body refinement even though he had just advanced a few weeks ago.

The days continued to pass as the group hunted spiritual beasts, managing to maintain their placement.

"Good job everyone," Zhao Xieren clapped her hands. They had just managed to hunt another large Ice Mountain tiger, something they had gotten better at over the last few days.

"Haha, we are getting better at this, it only took us half an hour to kill it!" a disciple shouted as sweat dripped from his forehead. They were tired but the satisfaction of killing the beast was more than enough in return.

Just as they were about to continue on, they heard a voice ring out from a cliff above their heads. "My my, I must be truly blessed today. If it isn't the beautiful little miss of the Zhao Family, I must be blind if I'm wrong."

Hearing the familiar voice, Qian Yu frowned for a bit. It was none other than the playboy Li Yi that he and Bai Jia had met when they first arrived at the city. Following that, he learned that the Li Family was also one of the four strongest noble families in the country.

Similarly, the smile on Zhao Xieren's face disappeared instantly upon hearing his voice. As a part of the noble circle, she could easily distinguish who that voice came from. "Hello, Young Master of the Li Family, I wonder how you are faring this hunt," her voice was cold, void of all the happiness she had a few seconds before.

"Oh I'm doing pretty good, how about you?" Li Yi smirked from above.

"I'm not doing so well," Zhao Xieren shrugged, acting pitiful.

"I wonder if Young Master Li is willing to let us go," Zhao Xieren pleaded. Not only was everyone tired from killing the tiger, she knew that as a soul foundation cultivator, he easily outclassed her.

"Haha, of course I can let you go. Just activate your talisman and it will save us some time," Li Yi was like a cat playing with a mouse.

"Young master Li, how about I just walk away instead, it's practically the same thing," Zhao Xieren bit her teeth, not wanting to come down to an agreement.

"Hmm, it looks like we can't come to an agreement," Li Yi acted helpless.

"It's been a while since I've faced the Zhao Family's Wandering Blade in the Soundless Night with my family's Burning Sun Fists," he jumped down from the cliff.

Zhao Xieren unsheathed her sword getting ready for battle.

Li Yi smiled, not rushing at all, "Don't worry, I'm a gentleman so I'll let you go if you can take 3 of my hits."

"3 Flaming Palms!" He yelled as he ran forward. Dazzling bright fire erupted from his hands that only continued to grow larger as he came closer.

*Fwah!* Zhao Xieren put up her sword in an attempt to defend. Yet as the flaming palm met her sword, she was quickly overwhelmed and pushed back a couple feet.

Yet she didn't get to recover as Li Yi followed up with another attack. *Foosh!* with another attack, she was sent flying away.

"Zhao Xieren!" Qian Yu ran up as he caught her. He clenched his fists as he saw her pale face.

"I-I can't give up yet!" Zhao Xieren furiously bit her lips.

"It's okay, it-," Qian Yu tried to calm her down but she started getting up.

Slowly, she pulled herself upwards with the help of her sword. Weakly holding her sword, she got ready to defend against the next attack.

*Fwoosh!* But before he was able to reach her, ice spikes appeared out of no way, forming a barricade between the two.

'What?' Qian Yu was startled looking at the spears of ice. In terms of quantity and the size of the spears, he instantly knew it wasn't from Li Cheng. Turning his gaze back, he saw that the disciples behind him, including Li Cheng, was confused as well.

"You can leave now, I will deal with Li Yi," a loud and confident voice resounded out from afar. As everyone turned their attention to the sound they saw another group of disciples from the Ice Arts Sect. Likely, they had been attracted from the noises of the battle, whether it was against the tiger or Li Yi.

"It's Feng Lan," Zhao Xieren muttered with a look of relief. She didn't know much about him and he had appeared out of nowhere, gaining the status of a core disciple. Nonetheless, it wasn't time to worry about that.

"Come, I'll help you," Qian Yu worriedly nudged Zhao Xieren, giving her hand to help move.

She nodded and turned her attention to the disciples, "Let's go, I'll get my injuries treated after we get to a safe spot."

His prey had departed from the battle, yet Li Yi didn't seem to care. On the contrary, a feeling of excitement overtook him as he stared at Feng Lan, "To think that the first worthy opponent I'll meet in the hunt is you! Although you are not from noble birth, I must say you are truly a genius".

Feng Lan stayed silent hearing Li Yi and instead, ran forward. With a sword in hand, spears of ice started appearing by his side. Behind him were his group of 10 disciples, all of which had started summoning spears of ice as well.

On the other hand, disciples had suddenly appeared out of nowhere, grouping by Li Yi's side. "Charge!" he roared.
