Saeko

Walking in the long hallway, Yuuji took big strides as he took a right turn.

At the moment, he was going to the Shinai club to have a look. There was a strange sense of anticipation in him, the reason being that he was going to meet the main lead of this world, Saeko Busujima.

He wasn't particularly going to that club to meet her, but he knew that it was inevitable that he would cross paths with her in the future.

His main purpose of coming here was to practice his Swordsmanship skill back to its earlier stage.

From the anime, he knew that Saeko was very skilled in the art of sword, he wanted to experience that himself today.

He stood in the front of the door, he could now clearly hear the voice of shinai clashing with each other, he took a moment to compose himself.

"Oh, I didn't expect you to be so excited over just meeting her." Lilith's voice was again heard by him.

"You already knew that, didn't you? I can't imagine that you didnt." He replied in his mind.

"I did, but It seems I underestimated her." Lilith said in a playful voice.

"You said that I am your soul partner, shouldn't you be at least a little jealous." Yuuji asked in a curious tone. Even though he was here to just meet Saeko and nothing else, he still had enough experience to understand that normally Lilith should be jealous.

"Why should I be Jealous of her? You are already mine, and moreover I never forbade you for having another woman"

And there it goes… the cliché kind-hearted scene, where MC's woman for some reason, didn't minded Mc to have another lover…

"Why? I thought that since we are soul partners, we have to be together or something." Yuuji asked with a bewildered expression, he found it absurd that she didn't cared if he dated another girl. Isn't it too convenient?

"Hmm, it does mean that our paths are now intertwined with each other, but it doesn't restrict our actions. Moreover, Demons believe that males with larger harem hold more strength and authority. Since you will be their king in future, you also must have at least 5 wives." Lilith explained while chuckling a little.

Yuuji once again realized the difference in ideals between different races, as someone from modern world, the concept of polygamy was rather absurd for him.

Sighing again in exasperation, he knocked on the door and waited.

The clashing sound of shinai ceased as he heard footsteps coming nearer to the door.

After a moment, the door slid open and a pair of brown eyes stared at him. It was a boy of average stature with black hair.

The boy seemed to be gauging Yuuji. Tall stature, athletic body, developed muscles, a sign of a fellow sportsman.

A smile appeared on his face as he greeted: "Hello, how can I help you?"

Yuuji saw through his actions and answered: "I heard quite a lot about this club, so I came to take a look. Is that fine?"

"Of course, come inside." the boy stepped to the side and gave Yuuji space to enter.

Without further a due, Yuuji stepped inside and was greeted by a sight he very well expected. Wooden floor with a space big enough to hold school assembly, the place looked more like a Dojo than a club.

"Before I give you a tour, I warn you, there were many students who came here just to pass time and see Busujima-senpai" His tone softened a but as he mentioned her name "But they regretted it later, we only accept students who want to seriously master a shinai."

With a nonchalant look on his, Yuuji listened to his not-so intimidating warning and said: "Don't waste my time with useless talk, I have many other things to do after this."

The boy nodded his head lightly: "Fine, but don't say that I didn't warn you later."

Yuuji shrugged off his words with a roll of his eyes, he was here to practice his Swordsmanship skill by the way, meeting Saeko was just bonus. Moreover, the person saying this played a big role, coming from a guy with an average build and almost no muscles at all, it wasn't intimidating at all.

The boy started moving In a different direction, while Yuuji followed him from behind.

The sound of shinai started reverberating again and became louder as they walked. Looking at some distance, Yuuji saw two people sparring with each other.

And it didn't take a genius to assume the identity of the person, one of them looked to be more of a rookie with his stiff movements and the fact that he was being pushed back without an effort…

… And ok the other hand was a gracefully moving figure, her strikes were precise and refined which showed her years of practice. Her movement were fluid and she seemed like she wasn't even trying at all.

Yuuji instantly recognized her as the main lead of highschool of the dead, Saeko Busujima.

"Isn't she amazing, there is no one in the club who can hold a candle to her, She is truly amazing." the boy said with a dreamy expression on his face.

'Simp~' Yuuji thought in his mind as he saw the boy's eyes following every movement of Saeko's figure.

Moving his attention back to the spar, Yuuji saw that it had ended with the rookie being knocked out by Saeko.

She pulled her helmet off her head, letting her straight thigh length purple hair fall for to her sides gracefully. She had piercing blue eyes and shiny pink lips. Her height was quite tall for a Japanese woman, while her boobs were at least D cups.

She looked at her knocked over opponent and said in calm voice: "You have surely improved, Izumi. But you still have to work on your movement and technique."

Her opponent also took off her helmet, she was a girl with shoulder length brown hair and quite beautiful appearance: "Thank you for sparring with me, Busujima-senpai. I will continue improving."

By this time, Saeko had already noticed the presence of a newcomer, she turned towards Yuuji and said: "Are you here to join the club?"

"It seems so." Yuuji replied without any change of expression.

Saeko nodded her head at him and then looked towards the boy who was still in his own dream: "Matsuda, show him around the club and help him with the paperwork."

The boy snapped out of his thoughts and frantically nodded at her while mumbling to himself: "She talked to me!! She talked to me!! She talked to me!!"

Yuuji gaze Matsuda a weird gaze and said: "I will manage by myself… By the way, are you up for another spar?"

"You are surely not talking about yourself, right?… Or do you have any prior experience?" She asked.

"I used to be in the same club in my previous school, so are you up for it?" Yuuji replied without a change of expression.

"By any chance, are you trying to flex in front of her?" Lilith questioned with teasing tone.

"No. I just wanted to experiment with soemthing… At morning, when I cooked it felt like I was doing something wrong, I got that feeling but couldn't find out where my mistake was… "

"… If what I am thinking is true, then If I fight with her, I should get the same feeling." Yuuji said in the telepathic link which was established by Lilith.

"Well, it is your choice, I am here to just guide you…"

"How much experience do you have?" She asked with a thoughtful expression, she didn't wanted to deliberately hurt an underclassmen who came here for the first time. She thought that Yuuji was just being overconfident, this wasn't he first time something like this happened, So she knew how to deal with the situation.

"You will see after fighting me…"

A small and barely noticeable frown appeared on her perfect face, she really didn't wanted to be too heavy handed and hurt him, but since he was so adamant, then it would be unlike her to refuse.

"Very well, choose a shinai from over there." She pointed at the shinai hanging on the wall at the side.

Yuuji stepped forward and chose a random one, and then walked back to stand some distance away from Saeko.

Yuuji took a stance with his shinai while facing Saeko, his feet apart from each other and his shinai was held in front of him.

Saeko saw his stance and sighed helplessly to herself 'This is a novice stance.' She thought to herself. She decided to not be too heavy handed on him after this, she will defeat him, but not too miserably so that he won't lose confidence.

On the other hand, Yuuji had the same feeling he had this morning, he instinctively knew that his stance was wrong, there was this small itch inside himself which told him to take a proper stance. He looked over Saeko and saw her holding her shinai at her front, her left foot a little behind.

Yuuji didn't copied her, instead he raced his memories to remember the stance he took while he first tested his PC.

He closed his eyes and his body started to move on his own and adjust his posture to the most comfortable position.

Saeko was about to move when she saw him closing his eyes with a look of total concentration, intrigued by this, she decided to pause and observe him, to her surprise he readjusted his posture and changed it to another one.

His shinai was slightly tilted to the right side and his left knee was crouched over a little. This looked very simple, but Saeko had different thoughts.

'There weren't any openings!!'

She thought with little surprise but didn't lose her composure, and instead started to rapidly analyze him.

Even though his eyes were closed, she had no doubt that he will be able to react to her attack, it was just her instinct telling her. Next, his body was fully stationary, normally someone wouldn't be able to stand still like that without even a small movement.

Yuuji opened his eyes with a concentrated expression still etched on his face…

They both stared at each other without even moving a muscle.

Unknowingly, the atmosphere of the surrounding had turned heavy as even the other club members stopped their spars to spectate while stopping their breaths. It was as if they were afraid to disturb any one of them.

As if on a silent agreement, Yuuji and Saeko dashed towards each other at the same moment.

Their shinai clashed together as a small smile appeared on Saeko's face when she realized that she was being pushed back. So without wasting another moment, she stopped holding back and started giving her all.

Due to Saeko holding back initially, Yuuji was able to push her back with his strength and put some distance between themselves.

He jumped a little in the air while throwing a vertical slash in her direction.

Instead of dodging, Saeko took the strike head on with her shinai which was held horizontally.

This became a battle of strength as both of them were in a stalemate at the moment, Saeko tilted her shinai to the side causing Yuuji to stumble forward a little.

Taking this chance, she swept her weapon which was aimed at his head in an attempt to knock him down.

Unfortunately, Yuuji moved his body to the side while barely avoiding the hit, stabilising his footing, he again started coming at her.

The sound of two shinai hitting was the only thing that could be heard in the wide hall as the fellow members all had their mouths agape with amazement.
