Jeremiah:

"So you are still here?" What is she still doing here? I wonder who she came to see.

"I was busy, so you're a doctor?" Yes, isn't it obvious? This stethoscope is hanging around my neck.

"Yes I'm a doctor, a Neurosurgeon", I'm a very proud doctor and also a proud leader.

"Doctor Leona, so you have met Doctor Smith?" What? She is a doctor? Doctor Leona? What the fuck? She works at the car wash?

How can I trust a man I met today? What if he is some kind of thug? Maybe a gangster? It's good that I have my pocket knife with me, if he tries to act smart I will threaten him with it. Lord have mercy here he comes.

"Are you some kind of thug?" I blurted out without thinking. How will he feel about my sudden question?? Will he kill me? Will he drug me? Oh Lord, come help your devotee.

He raised his brow and smirked. God! This man is beautiful.

"A thug? This handsome? Really pretty girl?" I blush at his compliment. He called me pretty.

"I'm not a thug. But if you want me to be one then I'll be one, just for you", he winks and unlocked the car, we both get in at the same time

"So you're a doctor? Why didn't you tell me? I was worried when you received that call today. I thought someone related to you has been admitted here", Because you didn't ask and why should I tell you? I don't go around telling strangers I am a doctor. I may never know who my enemy is.

"You didn't ask and it didn't concern you", I turn to look at this man, and damn! God, with this man you took your time, and you, made him perfectly beautiful, he is so beautiful. His lips, I wonder how soft they are... Jeez! This man is fit! He has black hair and brown eyes.

"Sorry, I just thought I would ask. So tell me more about yourself", he smiles, making my heart melt.

"I can't tell you about myself. You're still a stranger", he is hot, but I'm not sharing any information about myself. His smile turns into a frown. Don;t care about your feelings dawg.

"So I'm still a stranger?" He asks while raising his eyebrow in question

"Your smile suits you", he smirked. I think I said that loud.

"Well, thanks, Leona. I will take you out the next time I see you", there is no next time.

"Doctor Smith, this is probably the last time you see me", I turn on the radio, and the song playing is boring

I turn my phone's Bluetooth on and connected. I played 'My Life Is In Your Hands' by Kirk Franklin.

I turn to look at him and he is looking rather uncomfortable.

"Can you promise me that when I see you the next time, you will go on a date with me?" I sighed before mentally rolling my eyes. This guy doesn't give up.

"Doctor Smith, there will be no next time. At the hospital I only come for emergencies", he looks at me, the way he is looking at me is like he is thinking about me

"Just promise"

"Okay, I promise, if there's going to be the next time", God I would like to meet him again, please let us meet again.

After a while, he asks for directions. I am hesitating to tell him my address

"Relax I won't act smart. I just need to get you home..." The car stops and he looks at me.

I looked at him as he cussed

"Is there a problem??" I asked softly, he sighed then looked at me

"Yeah. But don't worry, I'll get you home soon and safely. I will call my bodyguard", I nearly choked on my saliva. I'm scared, I'm in a stranger's car and he says he has a bodyguard. God, please protect me

"Is there a problem? Why won't the car start?"

"The car broke down. I'll call my bodyguard", he says making me choke on my saliva.

Bodyguard? Doctors don't have bodyguards unless they are in some kind of danger or trouble. I'm scared.

Leona, what have you gotten yourself in?

I'm in a stranger's car and he says he has a bodyguard. God, please protect me.

"Don't be afraid of me. I promise I won't hurt you", he assures me, but still, he can be a thug? Gosh!

He takes out his phone and called what he called his bodyguard.

"Why did you help me? I'm not rich. I just earn enough for a living", he looks shocked by my words, but I don't care anymore. He may be a thug disguised as a doctor!

"Please trust me. I won't hurt you", he looks innocent. Is he telling the truth? It starts raining heavily.

Something to ease my mind.

"Let's walk in the rain", I don't wait for him to answer and stepped out of his car.

The cold rain pours on my skin, I love rain.

I close the door and start walking towards my house.

"Hey Leona, take this umbrella and go home", so now he won't make sure that I get home safe?

"You said you will make sure that you get me home safely", I said softly, I hope he heard because I'm scared to walk alone at night.

"Yes. Come I'll walk you home", he holds the umbrella and we walk together. He is getting wet because he is trying to cover me.

My house comes into view and I feel safe now.

"That is my house. Come on", I take the umbrella from him and run to my house.

"Leona!" He shouts,

I forgot I took the umbrella from him. Now he is extremely wet. I wave at him, he runs to me.

"You are safe now. Your family must be waiting for you. Go inside"

"I stay alone. Your car broke down, come inside. You can stay the night and leave in the morning"

I put in the password and the gate opens, we walk inside and I take him to Eric's room.

"This will be your room for tonight. Please go and shower."

"What will I wear? My clothes are wet"

"I'll give you my nightdress"

"Nightdress? Don't you have shorts, or track pants or trousers or boxers?" Boxers? Do girls wear that?

"I don't wear any pants, shorts, trousers, and boxers. I only wear dresses and skirts. Go shower and bring you a nightdress"

I went back to my room and took my black nightdress. I'm sure he won't feel embarrassed, it's just for one night and I'll never see him again. I went to his room and placed it on the bed.

I also need a shower.
