(Evans POV)
You know, there's the people that are annoying because they're loud, or because they joke all the time.. or the people that you just can't get along with because you always have different opinions.
In my case, it's this one guy that always returns and does the same thing EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.
He enters the shop with a 'ting!', signalling that someone has entered. That specific sound makes me dread the bell. Because every day, at a random time he would show up and make my day worse than it already was.
I sound pathetically childish, but you would feel the same after WEEKS of this guy entering the shop and annoying the daylights out of me. I swear, I think even the devil himself dreads the moment when this guy enters the shop.
Well anyway. I was currently washing some silverware in case anyone wanted some desert or little house speciality, when Ellie entered the room startling me and saying "Evan dear come in my office for a minute would you?"
My heart sank to the pit of my stomach. Why would she want me to come to her office? She shouldn't even be here until 7 and yet here she is. This could only mean one thing and I know exactly what it is. She is going to fire me. She probably found someone better that is more qualified and better working than me.
I took a deep breath before opening the big wooden door to her office, mentally preparing myself for what's to come.
I closed my eyes shut and opened the door, quickly entering her office and started talking before she could say anything.
"MaamIamsososorryifIdidn'tpleaseyouwithmyworkBUTPLEASEDON'TFIREMEI'lldoanythingjustpleasedon't!!" The words left my mouth so quickly I have no idea if she even understood what I said. And the painful silence that came after didn't quite make me feel better either.
"Evan, open your eyes dear." Ellie said calmly.
I did as told and opened my eyes slowly only to be met by a pair of bright blue set of eyes that were looking at me warmly and unpleasantly enough, another pair of vibrant green eyes that were filled with tears. Tears of amusement.
One specific dude was sitting down on the chair in front of the main desk, trying his best to not break out laughing like a lunatic but miserably failing.
I could feel my cheeks catching on fire at the embarrassment that was NOT necessary right now.
"Evan, did you think I was going to fire you?" I nodded silently. This could not get any worse.
"Well, that is not what I wanted to do. In fact, I want you to meet someone." Her voice was very warm while she was talking, but I could feel a sense of playfulness in her tone. Weird, I have never seen her so exited before.
"Well dear, this here is Aaron Right, he will be your new coworker from now on." I take it back. This just got ten-thousand times worse.
"E-..excuse me?" Was all I could mutter out. This is not true. This is a joke. It must be a joke...right?
"Will he be on my shifts?" Ok. I sound maybe a little too stunned for the situation I am in, seeing as the universe does hate me and likes making my life miserable every single day, but come on. Really? Did it have to be him?
"His shift starts tomorrow and yes. He will be on every shift you have, since it seems that you already know each other and it may be easier for him to learn how things work around here." She said bluntly. Well. There goes my day.
"Oh, don't give me that look Evan. You think I don't notice how bored you are every day? Or how you are always so tired because you have to do all the work on your own? Boy, I am doing this in your favour, and you better be grateful."
That was the only thing she said before getting up and leaving the room, leaving us to talk.
"You are doing this on porpoise aren't you?" I said as soon as Ellie closed the door behind her. I was very pissed, seeing as this guy seemed to enjoy my pain and the way he came here every day for weeks after our little incident.
The guy apparently called Aaron just sat there on the tiny red sofa, looking at me. More like staring me down... not saying a word.
I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose. There is no way I will be able to work with this guy. I think that my last two braincells would give up on me and die somewhere in the corner of my brain if I stayed more than ten minutes in the same room as him.
Aaron for some reason refused to move a muscle, he wasn't even blinking!! what kind of monster is he that he won't even blink!?
Suddenly he moved his hand from the armrest of the sofa to his thigh and I pathetically enough flinched at the action. I was so focused on staring at him that the tiniest little move he made scared me.
Well, I guess he did it on porpoise because he started smirking after that. And it wasn't just any smirk. It was an evil one, filled with what looked like lust and that made me uncomfortably look away. Disgusting.
What a disgrace to the man kind.

"Not my business" Asshole. "Dude if you hate him so much just quit" Rory said completely uninterested. Rory is my best friend since kindergarten. Though he can be a total ass sometimes he is one of the best people I have ever met in my 23 years of age.
"Dude, you know I can't do that! I love the place and it pays really well!" Rory scoffed and looked at his phone. "If you love the place enough than a simple person shouldn't make you want to quit."
"I NEVER SAID I WANTED TO QUIT"
He huffed again and looked up from his phone blankly looking at me.
"You know, you can be impossible at times." Yeh, no shit Sherlock.
I groaned in frustration and sat down on one of his mini grey sofas that I grew to very much like.
"Then what am I supposed to do?" I asked with my face in my hands.
"Oh quit whining like a baby and start being a man already." And that was the last thing he said before signalling me to go.
How rude!
Well, that was a conversation. A useless one but at least I socialised?..no?..ok..
One thing is certain though. My life is about to become a living hell, and I will 100% die of constant stress that one specific person is about to cause.
Great.
