Reminiscing

I didn't expect the person I saw in front of me, why him? He was one of my best friends but he left suddenly. My biggest worry is why he wants me to do what he couldn't? I just can't believe that I'm seeing his hazel eyes again, he reminded me of Ariel. And no, he didn't really like Ariel but when he left we became besties.

I was bewildered for a second and then I asked him, "why?" He sighed and said, "I already answered that question." He then started untying my hands, as it is attached to the wooden chair which is putting little splinters in my arm. "I checked you up on the news when you sent that threat,"I said carefully. He was now sitting on a chair, he then sighed and said, "Well that's not the real me so." "You know you've grown up a lot,"he said looking at me intently. "Of course, you disappeared when I was 5. What you expected me to look the same,"I said sarcastically and still managing to look smug. "No, I expected you to be recognizable and still with your real family, happy,"he said nonchalantly.

"Well the feelings mutual, I never thought I'd meet my friend who by the way sent me a threat,"I said trying not to get angry or laugh. "I thought it would be a fun prank, for old times sake,"he said trying to act innocent. So I just stared at him like 'seriously', so I said, "You're still the same." "You'd be surprised how different I am Genesis,"he said like he'd never left.

"So please enlighten me as to why I was kidnapped,"I said seriously. "Well many reasons, but one of them was to know the real story of what happened to your parents so please tell me,"he said politely. "Fine, I will....,"I was then interrupted. "Not that I don't want you to tell me the story but seriously you're too trusting,"he said seriously. "So you don't want me to tell you,"I said impatiently. "Of course I do, but you've got to learn that you can't be so trusting because those you trust the most always betray you,"he said kindly. "So can I really trust you?"I asked though I knew I was becoming a nuisance to him.

"Genesis of course you can,"he said a little annoyed. I was surprised he wasn't angrier, I mean for a murderer you'd expect more anger and aggression but he's so loving to me it's frightening. "Genesis hello,"he said while laughing, "what's so surprising?" "You,"I said seriously. He seemed bewildered. "How did you murder all those people,"I asked and then he seemed to get it. "Oh well, it was easy because I hated them but I don't think I need to describe it to you because you already looked it up,"he said with a bit of anger behind his voice. What could make you hate someone so much that you kill them?

I could see he noticed my confusion. He then said, "So are you going to tell me the story so we can get revenge or not?" "But I don't want revenge anymore," I told him, "I got over it and I wish you did too,"I said sadly. "Just tell me the story,"he said. I nodded and then said, "Well after they died not long after I went to juvenile detention because I couldn't take it,"I said nervously. "Oh me too,"he said excited. I laughed and then said, "Well it was mostly because of my brother;I never told anyone about him because he was that precious to me,"I said but couldn't continue because my tears were falling and I couldn't breath. He came closer, I soon noticed his shadow above me. He then hugged me gently, while he was bending down to my height because I was sitting still.

He's probably the only one who understands what it's like to lose so many people. Even though my family died at least I didn't have to see them dead or getting killed, but with Ariel I was there, I saw her dead and I saw the man and yet, I was still so useless. "Why do you have to do this to me? Why bring all my memories back,"I said in between sobs.

"I don't mean to hurt your feelings Genesis, but you deserve to know who killed your friend, parents and brother,"he said trying to motivate me. "How could you kill those people? Didn't they have kids,"I asked seriously, still sobbing. "No they didn't,"he said patiently. "That still gives you no right to kill them,"I said and I knew I was getting on his nerves. "Well they never seemed to care about those morals Genesis,"he said seriously. "What do you mean,"I asked impatiently.

"They killed my parents just because they couldn't have kids. And no Genesis, adoption was available, so why kill my parents just to get me and my sister,"he said.
