45 minutes #answer

Brandon's POV

I think I heard her riddle wrong but when I look at her face she is smiling so wide and that confirms my suspicion that what she asked for is the difference between a husband and a boyfriend. In my mind am thinking how she does not know this simple answer because literally every knows it but then the thing with riddles is the answer always shocks you.

So I know for sure whatever answer am getting is going to be something I don't expect. While I am still thinking of the answer our mothers come in and wonder what the silence is for because we are never this quite unless mad at each other and Drie has no food but those two have been resolved since she is sitting on the counter with the jar of cookies.

"Mom, Drie just asked me a riddle but am thinking she must have hit her head somewhere because the answer seems easy but her face says it not what i am thinking."

"What's the riddle Brad?"

" What's the difference between a husband and a boyfriend?"

Everyone suddenly erupts into fits of laughter and I somehow feel stupid because am confused but stay quite. This proves that my answer was not right but if i fail this riddle Drie is going to take the whole jar of cookies and i wont get any and mom makes them rarely. This was made because Drie and Katie plus aunt Lorinda( Drie's mom) where coming.

I feel like giving up and making a new bargain when Dries announces time up.....oh yeah the riddles are timed(15 minutes)

"You lost baby innocent Brady!!!!!!!!" she starts to sing. We each call each other different nick names from the ones everyone calls us though she makes it over dramatic.

"So what's the answer?"

"45 minutes" she says which confuses me but when i look at everyone's faces I still see them trying not to laugh but they seem like they are suffering so to take them out of their misery I ask the question am afraid the answer was not what I thought it would be.

"What does that mean?"

And all she says "Duration Brady " which leaves me still confused, I decided its time to visit my friend google and find out the meaning.

"Mom, aunt Lorinda, Katie and Drie are you guys serious and you all knew like for real," And instead of answer I get more laughter from everyone, at least ain't mad at us anymore but could I be more wrong. So I made a double loss Drie is still mad at me and she has also taken my favorite cookies but remember that I may still have a bargaining chip if I use it carefully.
