Chapter 25: You stole my car...And my heart

Black's POV

He's at my unit. We're just cuddling like what couples do.

I know my decision not to commit was wrong but I'm contented with what we have. No fights, fewer problems.

I like James, He's the first one who made me feel this way and I'm so thankful that he's a nice guy. He's quiet most of the time but he has pure humor he's a sensible man, unlike Daze!

Shoot! Did I just compare them? He's not even worth comparing to James because James is way much better than him.

I'm busy stroking his hair when he sighed heavily. My eyebrow creased and I try to meet him in the eye.

"What's wrong?" I asked. He just flashed a smile and said it was nothing I worry about.

"Anyway, I have to go back to the hospital." He gets up and fixed himself.

"Are you sure I shouldn't worry?" I asked again because he looks so bothered.

"Yeah! I'm fine. Don't worry" he said and planted a kiss on my forehead before leaving.

Sometimes, I want to know what's running on his mind.

Three days passed. It's Sunday and James invited me to church, which I did not refuse. maybe it will be a good idea since I barely visit the church. But my day is already ruined because Daze is also at the same place, same seat.

He's sitting beside me! Oh my God! I don't even know that this jerk even goes to church!

I know James already notices him but he just ignores him, which is a good thing, I don't want them to be acquaintances, he might be a bad influence on James.

When it was part of peace be with you, I faced James and gave him a peck on the cheek which he also does in return. I could feel him holding my hand so I smiled.

We're supposed to say "Peace be with you to people around us but knowing Daze, I tried my hardest to not be annoyed and just give him a forced smile but when I faced him, he's too close that our lips ended up touching. He was shocked as well but when he recovered, he has this very annoying smile that I really hate. I just glared at him.

"Peace be with you!" He said with a smile. I am really upset that I just rolled my eyes and turned my back on him and pretend to be nice.

"Calm down! you're at the church!" I've been repeating those words to stop myself from kicking that asshole! How dare he!

His audacity to stole a kiss inside the church! ugh!

I'm just glad that James didn't see that even I would love to see his reaction.

I glance at Daze again and hissed "Peace-ti ka sa buhay ko!" After I said that, I never bother to look at him again.

I invited James to wander around but he refused because his job is kinda demanding so he is on call 24/7. In the end, I went alone to the coffee shop that I always visit, there are so many good books, that's why I love killing time there.

I remembered Dash, he said he wants to visit the place, I figured it is Sunday and he's pretty sure not at work so I texted him.

If you don't have any appointments today, Come on! Let's have some coffee at Coffeegian. I'll text you the address if you say yes.

Yes, sure!. Give me half an hour and I'll be there.

Because he agrees, I texted him the address, it's not too far from where he lives but 30 minutes is still long. I tried my best to kill time by reading the first book I found on the shelf.

I just kept reading while waiting for him. Almost 15 minutes passed when I noticed a shoe in front of me. I smiled and look up at him but my smile turns into a frown when I found out who it was.

"By any chance, Are you following me?" I asked Daze while wearing my annoyed look.

"Don't be assuming, Dash asks me to meet a friend and tell him he can't make----- And you're the friend Dash supposed to meet, are you not?" He asked confusingly. I can't believe Dash set me up! I really shouldn't trust Tejada's

"Oh Geez! I'm gonna kill him!" I said and fixed my things to leave. I swear I don't want to be anywhere near Daze.

"You're supposed to meet Dash?" He asked again as if he can't believe the idea.

"I lost my appetite. I'll take my leave!" I said and stood up but he holds my two shoulders and pushed me down so I ended up sitting again.

"What the hell?" I said in annoyance but still trying to minimize my voice because I don't want to make a scene.

"You're always the first to walk out! It's my turn now!". He grinned before leaving me. I was stunned, that's crazy !! Is that guy for real? When I recovered, I went out of the coffee shop to take a taxi but Daze was still there.

"Can I bring you home at least?" He asks and opened the door to the shotgun seat. An evil idea crossed my mind.

"Damn you!" I said and entered his car.

He smiled when I got in his car but I remained frowning. When he closed the door, I immediately locked it and moved to the driver's seat. I also locked it but because the glass is tinted Daze didn't know what I did. I smiled devilishly.

"It's payback!" I murmured. I immediately dialed his number and he picks it up.

"Open the door, Black!"He said on the other line while knocking at the window

"I'll borrow your car for a while. See you later Tejada!" I said while laughing before I hung up the phone. He was obviously annoyed because he knocked harder on the glass. I smiled again before starting his car. I saw his face in the side mirror which was obviously grinning with anger. I just went on a road trip and hung out at the City lights, at 9 pm I decided to go home. When I parked the car I immediately saw Daze. Since I got out of the car, He start to look at me intenly. I flashed him my sweetest smile.

"Thanks Daze! I didn't scratch that!" I told him all at once for the key but instead of taking it he pulled me closer to him. My face was buried in his chest.

I was about to pushed him when he suddenly talk that made my heart palpitate. "You stole my car ..... And my heart, .Take responsibility Violet!"
