Amulet was the runt of her litter. As she grew a strange mark appeared on her right eye that once she reached maturity it began to cause complications and finding her mate only accelerated her complications. Now her and her mate Desmond are on the hunt to answer the enigma that is her birthmark. Little do they know following this trail will turn the hunters in the the hunted.

Runt

Amy screamed as she looked at her "hands." What were once normal human hands have now transformed back to paws. Amy looked back up at Irene and Blaine as they both watched her. 


Amy shivered as a whisper caressed her ear, 'Climb down.' 


Amy looked down the shaft then to Irene and Blaine. "You guys stay here, I'm going to climb down." 


"Amy that isn't smart or safe. You have no idea what's down there." Blaine stated. 


"I know that, but...this is something I just have to do." 


Irene gently patted Blaine's shoulder. "I can follow her." 


Blain raised an eyebrow as he looked at Irene confused. Amy also matching his look. 


Irene smiled as she sat on the floor and crossed her legs. She quietly began to chant in another language. Blaine kneeled down to her level and a soft glow enveloped her body. A spectral form of herself appeared next to Amy and gave a slight wave. 


Amy jumped back and Blaine watched in amazement. Her voice was soft and accompanied by an echo.
