Amulet was the runt of her litter. As she grew a strange mark appeared on her right eye that once she reached maturity it began to cause complications and finding her mate only accelerated her complications. Now her and her mate Desmond are on the hunt to answer the enigma that is her birthmark. Little do they know following this trail will turn the hunters in the the hunted.

Runt

The next few weeks all blended together for the group. Between cleaning and disposing of the old lab, too disbanding Major's hunters Amulet barely found time to set the arrangements for Maxis burial. 


Amy leaned over a notebook, tears silently streaming down her face. Des walked in with a plate of food and a drink. He took a seat next to her as he set down the food. "Amy please...I need you to try and eat today." 


Amy gagged a little once the smell of the food hit her nostrils. "Sorry my love, I'm just not that hungry." 


Des gently rested his hand on hers, "I miss him too, but i do believe he will be peeved to know his little sister isn't eating." Gently Des brought her hand to his lips and planted a soft kiss on the back of it. 


Amy nodded as she wiped her face, "You're right." She nodded as she reached over with her other hand and started eating slowly. Des reached over for the notebook and helped by organizing the list Amy had drafted up.
