Chapter 48

We got to his house eventually and he had me dumbfounded again. I was expecting him to reside in a block of flats or a boarding house, not a cute little bungalow.

He helped me out of the car and beeped it, then he unlocked the front door.

"Welcome to my house." He said after flicking a light switch on.

He dropped my shoes and took off his shoes. I tried to look around but I couldn't make out anything as my double vision returned. I held my head, dropping his jacket in the process. I knew the signs, I was going to pass out.

He got up in time to catch me.

He pulled me close to his chest and smothered my hair, comforting me. I looked up to tell him I didn't do this often, fall into people's arms that is. I didn't want him making assumptions about me but I suddenly became aware of our proximity.
