Chapter 50

I finished breakfast and Ophelia shooed me away to go take a shower, saying she would tidy up. I was a bit ashamed when I walked back to my dirty bathroom to take a shower. Did she bathe in here? During breakfast she didn't even scrunch her nose once or complain about it, I thought as I conducted my business.

I dried myself as I walked into my disarrayed room. What about clothes? I didn't have anything clean to wear anymore. Did she know the shirt she was wearing was dirty?

Stupid! Stupid! I thought as I searched through my laundry basket for something that wasn't smelly. I got a pale yellow shirt that had a few dirt stains on them. I sighed deeply. If I wore my sweater over it, no one would notice.

I finished up, putting my beanie on and walked to the kitchen. Ophelia was wiping the worktop.

"You ready?" She asked, again without looking behind.

"Yes."

"Before you leave, mind showing me where you keep your cleaning products?"
