I felt pity for them.
Kayden turned back to me, the worry returning to his eyes. He tried to lift me up but tripped because of my weight.
"Don't worry... I can walk." I said.
He helped me to my feet but my knees shook and he caught me before I could fall. I guess I was still shaken after the ordeal. I tried moving but I couldn't.
Before I knew it, Kayden lifted me, carrying me in bridal style to the guest bathroom, well technically, it was my room now. He succumbed to my weight, falling on top of me as he laid me on my bed. He got up when I cried out in pain.
"We should get you to a hospital."
"No, no hospital."
"What do you mean by no hospital? You need a rape kit!"
"No, he didn't get that far. You came just in time." A solitary tear slid down my cheek.
What if he hadn't come in time?
