CH XI

Ariya POV

Darkness from her eyes lifted but she was unable to see anything. At first she thought she went blind, but realized that it was pitch black darkness around her.

Tentatively Aria got up and felt the place beneath her paws, it was firm. She could not feel grass or anything that would give her an indication of where she was. She put a foot forward and felt to move ahead, feeling or sensing no danger she moved ahead.

This inability to see in the darkness stumped Aria's wolf, since most werewolves were able to see clearly in darkness like they had night vision in their eyes. But Aria's wolf was unable to see anything in this darkness nor could they smell or sense anything.

Taking 10 steps ahead they bumped into something hard and soft at the same time. She tried to paw it to feel it but it had disappeared. This spooked Aria furthermore. She tried to smell what that was but nothing. She tried to feel it again with her paws but nothing was there. She could not hear any sound either. All her acute werewolf senses became useless in this place.

"Have I lost all my senses? Why can't I see anything or smell anything or even hear? shit!! this is bad" Her breathing was becoming forced and it felt like her lungs were dying on themselves. She was hyperventilating and she could not understand what the hell was going on with her.

The memory of what happened prior to coming to this place hit her like a truck and she remembered the other wolf.

"Hello?"

It echoed, off walls or what she had no idea. But was ecstatic that at least her voice worked.

"why didn't I talk in the first place?" "yeah any sane person would have shouted out for help first finding themselves in a strange place of pitch blackness...but it is YOU we are talking about here,...the mighty Aria right", snorted Aria to her wolf.

"Oh yeah!!, where were you all this time huh? hiding away from the darkness or having your beauty sleep??", Aria's wolf retorted to her taunting. Aria just flipped her off.

"Ugh, someone HELLO!!!", Aria's wolf bellowed this time, getting irritated being alone in the dark and helpless at that.

"Will you just stop shouting!!! aaahhh my head, why is it hurting??", chimed in another voice in anguish.

"who is this?"

"Who are you and where are we exactly?"

"like I know....can you see anything?

"oh yes perfectly.....can't you?"

"umm...all I can see is black and black all darkness around nothing else....you??"

"same here genius!!!.....werewolf too remember!!!", came the sarcastic reply.

"oh it's you, the one I ran into? ok so we are together somewhere in pitch black darkness.......have we got captured or kidnapped?.....what happened??" Aria and her wolf were on high alert and again started to hyperventilate.

"Will you just calm down!!! There is no need to get all worked up about the situation, we have to handle it calmly"

"easy for you to say"

"Really???.............am in here with you.....aarrgghhh.....moving on. Let's look what we have got ourselves into"

"riiiiight....we can't you see...i mean can't you see we can't see...you get it.."

"would you just shut up!!! Am stuck with a child."

There was no sound for few minutes, nothing and suddenly bright light shone into the room or wherever they were.

Creeping slowly towards the light Aria saw the other wolf as well closer to the light. It turned and looked at her.

"You going to stand there or coming?"

"woah!! we are talking through our minds??"

"yes genius, how else would wolves talk? uhh incompetent child"

"hey that's not nice...take it back. But wait a minute I thought only wolves of the same pack can talk to each other...what is going on?"

"like I know...come on let's find out. I found this door and now let's get out of this ink black room or whatever unless you prefer darkness."

"Wait for me am comin." Aria bounded towards the opening overflowing with brightness but was closing in fast as the other wolf had quickly leapt out of it.

"ooof!!! could you move aside so I can walk ahead. uughh braindead", Aria scowled. She looked to the other wolf who was stuck gazing at something in front of her. Following her line of sight Aria too was mesmerized at the sight in-front of her. The only word that came out of her mouth was

"wow"
