Chapter 101

She sat by the carriage while a maid attended to her wounds. It was hours after the sand storm and she had woken up bleeding and bruised to see that night had fallen. It was dead in the middle of the night, a fire was burning to give light as the servants went about their duties. The maid taking care of her dabbed gently at her cut and applied something cool on them. She could barely smile at the maid or thank her for her kind, not because of the wounds that marred her face but because the Saade was standing over her glowering. She could not look at him, he was shaking with rage.

"My soldier is dead! Dead because of you!" He shouted Camelornian for the seventh time. "Look at what you have done to him!" He bellowed.

She refused to look, the last time she did the contents of her belly and poured through her mouth.
