Jessica Miller had never thought she would see Mason Waters of all people so dejected.

A peaceful silence fell between them. After a while, she heard him speak softly, his chest vibrating with each word he told.

"Have you truly decided you want to live with that person?"

"What about his brains? Is his intelligence comparable to mine?"

"He's wise. Stop comparing yourself with him. Both are different." Jessica coldly told him.
