The Bullets

Kenzie’s face turned as white as a ghost when she heard this. The room drop into silence. However, Vale could feel Jake’s burning glare beside her.

She wonders how calm Keith was when the bullet almost lodged itself into the back of his head.

'Why and how can he be so calm?'

He is a gang leader, and someone is trying to kill him!

Isn’t he supposed to feel panic, angry, terrified, or threatened at all?

If he dies, then there’s only one thing left.

Fear.

If what James told her was right, then she will not let Keith die. If he dies, it’s the end of the deal. After that, she has to get out of the gang silently because that’s how she got in.

She doesn’t know if her life will be the same anymore. Plus, she has gotten a liking for the guys, the girls, and some of the members in Keith’s gang.
