Three soldiers crossed their paths. Ryan Lim originally wants to be an artist but was forced by his grandfather to join the army. Ezekiel Ramos, a man who can sacrifice his everything for his beloved country. Mika Hernandez, who idolized her father since she was a kid and because of that, followed the path that her father took.
They experienced love, sacrifice, hate, and forgiveness. They may be three different people, but there's one thing in common. They love and will protect their country, and will do everything even if it costs their life.

Soldier's Oath

They're in front of the Campfire, and was sitting in front of each other. 


" Uhm", Mika awkwardly stared at everyone. 


"--We should trust you? Hell no!", Ezekiel said angrily, while the others nodded. 


Ryan sighed and looked at the ground," I'm not part of them" 


" You think that I believe you? Never" Ezekiel murmur. 


" Not because you're our captain, we all should listen to you... TRAITOR---" 


Mika was about to stand up and confront Ivan, but Ryan punched Ivan on his face. 


Ivan fell on the ground, blood rushing down from his wounded down lip. 


They glared at Ryan, Mika stood up and stood in front of Ryan facing her comrades. 


Ezekiel stood up," Are you serious!? You're siding him!? than... us?" he said as he points his index finger at Ryan. 


Mika harshly pushed Ezekiel on the ground," Don't make me the bad person here!---" 


Ezekiel smirked," Okay then" Then, he left, the others followed him. 


Ryan silently watches Mika who's crying. 


Ezekiel secretly glanced at the two, he smirked and let out a sigh," You never chose me, after you met him" 


Mika glanced at Ryan, " Don't be scared, it's okay, I know you don't want to do this, the higher Officials just ordered you to do this" 


Ryan looked at Mika, " Do you seriously trust me?" 


" Do you seriously trust me?", I asked. 


" May I ask why did your men trespassed in China?" I asked. 


She smiled and looked at the distance," I don't want to say this but...(she explained)" 


Everyone is busy preparing for food, and still ignoring them. 


" Here", Mika gave me a cup of water, she sighed. " Just ignore them..." 


She sat down on the tent beside me watching the others grill the fresh killed chicken. 


" How are you, Ryan?", She said while watching the view. 


She chuckled, " I don't know, I'm happy and sad at the same time" 


" ... I didn't expect this would happen" She said referring to the war happening between both our countries. 


She smiled," But, I'm still grateful, Thanks to the war, we met again" 


I don't understand but I suddenly felt glad and guilty at the same time. 


Saluted," I'm giving you a new assignment" 


He looked at the picture given by the General," Mika Hernandez?" he murmured. 


He looked at the general," Who is she, general?" 


The general smirked, and played with his fingers," Lets see, Captain" 


What is this weird feeling? This is my assignment, It's part of my oath as a soldier, to obey the orders... Can I do it?


Chapter Nine: Pretend ( Part Two)
