FRANCESCA'S POINT OF VIEW:
Muttering mostly to myself I stalked away from Weapon X into the woods.
Not really caring whether I would get lost or not, and not really caring about having dinner either.
Sighing I walked a ways before I start feeling tired and totally drained.
I hear voices when I reach a training clearing. Apparently, nobody had seen me so I stayed hidden in the shadows of the trees. Quirking an eyebrow I watch the game unfold.
"Okay, now let's play some flag football!"
Everybody was using their powers.
Evan known as Spyke released sticks coming from out of his arms and they went in several directions. I ducked just in time to barely miss one. I growled but didn't react.
I was told not to use my powers against another person here, so even if I was struggling with that, well...tough luck for me.
Blinking; I watched the game. Kitty known as Shadowcat sunk through the ground. Squinting I tried to see her where she went to grab the flag on the other side of the field.
But suddenly she was lifted into the air by Jean Grey and thrown back on her side of the field. "Hey!" Kitty yelled and ran forward. Kurt grabbed her and suddenly they both disappeared and ended up in the out section. "Kurt! You're so mean!"
"Vhat? I'm just trying to keep you avay from danger." The blue fuzzy creature said and then he disappeared.
Kitty huffed and sat down in the out section on the grass. I snickered mostly to myself, but I couldn't help but watching the girl with black hair and piece of white hair hanging down in her face.
People called her Rogue. Or, so I had heard.
Bobbie made the clearing and suddenly an ice ball formed and luckily Scott known as Cyclops burned it up with his laser eyes.
The game was very interesting surprisingly. Everyone got along pretty well. Hmm, wish I could've been playing with them.
Biting my lip I started to make my way back towards the mansion when the flag flew close to where I had been standing. Scott was bent over searching the ground.
I gasped when he saw me behind his red shades. "Hey," He smiled, "Wanna play with us?" He asked, waiting for my answer I shook my head quickly.
"No." I said quickly.
"Oh, well...ok. See you around?" He asked. I nodded my head quickly then moved away from him. He smiled and then took off in the opposite direction.
Weird kid, but he did have a nice smile.
Biting my lip, I stayed. Watching them play till everyone was called inside by Charles Xavier's mind control thingy and dinner was ready.
I walked past the dining room, where everyone was seated and starting to dig into pizza. My stomach growled, but I refused to eat in the same room as everyone else. I walked up the stairs leading to my room, but bumped into somebody by accident.
I landed on my butt.
"Ouch! You better watch where you walk." Rogue drawled out with a southern twang in her voice.
"I could say the same thing about you." I snapped back.
Rogue frowned but got up, holding out a black gloved hand. I took it and she helped me up. "I'm Rogue." She smiled, and I sort of returned the smile.
"Francesca." We shook hands and before long we parted ways. Frowning I really didn't feel like eating, but at least I happened to make a new friend. Rogue didn't seem that bad, although I did kind of wonder why she wore gloves and lots of layers of clothing...but, I wasn't planning on knowing her that long.
So, why bother learning about someone if you only intend to stay for more than a couple of days? Know what I mean? Of course not.
Sighing and thinking, I pace around my room after closing the door and locking it with an air lock. I sit down on the bed. My stomach rumbled. The sun had already set and everyone was already in bed by midnight.
Tomorrow everyone would go to school...including me. Not something I was looking forward too, but well...that was what I got for staying put here.
I rubbed at my eyes and sat up. Not the least bit tired, I unlock the door and slowly and quietly make my way down the hall to the left then down a flight of stairs and mosey my way into the kitchen. Blinking, I find a plate with two slices of pizza and a cup of vanilla pudding on the counter, with plastic wrap on it to keep it from going bad. Raising an eyebrow, I pick up the plate.
Hmm, cold.
I take the pudding cup out and place it on the counter. I take the pizza in my hand and make a small fire with my hands with the fire element. I heated up the plate and the pizza began to sizzle.
Blinking away the tears from the smoke wafting up I didn't realize that I had set the smoke alarms off until the lights turned on and Weapon X stood in the doorway. With his claws jutted out from his knuckles, only in a pair of boxers looking really ticked.
"What?" I frowned and set the plate down on the counter. I used the air to get rid of the smoke and the smoke detector turned off.
"What are you doing?" He snarled at me.
I rolled my eyes and pointed to the pizza.
"Heating up the plate, what does it look like I'm doing?" I snarled back at him. He blinked in surprise. I raised both of my eyebrows, "Well? You gonna say something?"
"Uh..." He retracted his claws. "Didn't you eat earlier with us?" He asked, running a hand through his disheveled hair. I shook my head, and tried very hard not to notice the rock hard biceps that he had and his sculpted chest.
I blinked, shaking myself mentally.
I would not fall for this man. I would not!
I narrowed my eyes at him. "Um, no. I didn't wanna eat around you freaks. And I thought I told you to stay away from me?" I hissed at him.
"Fine. I will." He grumbled.
"Fine!" I shouted he turned and walked away. I sagged against the counter. Maybe it was a good thing that I would be leaving soon, with Weapon X and after I handed him over to my father, then I could run away for good like I'd been planning to do since I was ten.
