Chapter 2: Don't Tell Her!

I stared at them for just a few moments as I watched them rolling around on top of each other. I made sure that I did not see any claws out at the same time as well. I knew that my sister got on the nerves of my brother on purpose, and it often ended up getting him in a whole lot of trouble.

All 3 of us were smart in our own right. I was smart because I knew when to step in, and to stop the both of them from getting a little too serious. I also knew a lot of things that they did not as well. I made sure that I was always listening when I heard my grand parents stories, mean while the both of them were always messing around.

My brother was also very smart as well, but he often got the anger that he built up inside, get the best of him in the end, and my sister was smart, in a bit of an evil way, because she knew how to hurt us, and get us to start fighting her... She never listened to our grand parents when they told us their stories.

I knew that it did not make my grand father all too happy when they saw that they were not taking it serious. Luckily my grandmother, Brokenfoot, was always there to calm him down at the sane time as well. I closed my eyes as I thought about one of the last times we had together, before they got sick, and passed away.

I looked at my brother and sister, as I saw them rolling on top of each other, as they always did, trying to see who was the superior cat. It was usually my brother who won in those regards as well. I did not want to tell my sister that she had no chance though, as I knew that she would just start attacking me for some reason.

I turned my head over to my grand father, as I could tell he was getting a bit old, and he was coughing his lungs out as well. I was a bit scared for him, and my grand mother I had not seen for days, due to the fact that she had not been feeling good at all, and she had just been sleeping.

He coughed a few more times, and then he turned his head back over to all of us, as he smiled at each of us at the same time as well. He then nodded to get my brother and sisters attention on him at the same time as well. They stopped playing around, as they nodded to let him know that they were listened to what it was that he had to say.

I nodded back to him at the same time as well, though I knew that he already knew that I had already been paying attention to him, and already had me ears open, to hear what it was that he had to say to us. After a few moments of silence, he finally decided to speak at the same time as well.

"You guys are now 3 moons old... Me and Brokenfoot are sick, and we are not sure how much time we have left, but we are going to leave you with this one last final message." He said to all of us. Both my brother, and my sister looked quite a bit surprised.

I wondered how they could be though, as they had seen Pintclaw coughing his lungs out, and they had not seen Brokenfoot in several days. I closed my eyes at the same time as well, as I wanted to push it off, and tell myself that none of it could be true.

They were old, but they were not that old, surely right? It scared me, and it hurt me at the same time as well too, as I wish there were some kind of thing that I could do to save them. I knew that there was nothing, and I knew that we had to take these final days with them seriously.

I shivered for just a few moments at the same time as well, as I knew that it was leaf bare, and that it was cold outside, but we had never really been outside, we were in the house right now. Unless one of the twolegs had opened up the door.

It was too cold for that, all that really did was bring in a small bit of chilly air into the room. I shook my head, as it was far too cold for it to be normal. I opened my eyes to see what it could be, but then I realized that I was no longer in the room with my brother and my sister.

I began to freak out, as I looked around me. I saw that white stuff all around me in the air, and much larger chunks of it all over to ground. I moved around, a bit freaked out, and quite a bit scared at the same time as well, as I wondered where I was at, and how I had even gotten here.

I felt the pieces of that white stuff, that our mother had told us, was some thing called snow, as it gently fell on to my body. It was a bit chilly, but it also felt kind of nice at the same time as well, as for some reason I suddenly decided to put my tongue out, and let one of the pieces of snow fall on me.

It was very cold on my tongue, but after a few more moments, my tongue then got used to it. The snow for some reason then turned into water after just a few more moments. It tasted so good too though, as I waited for a little bit more to come.

Suddenly I heard a bit of a quite noise from behind me, as I saw a small little cat, just a slight bit bigger than I was. I looked at the cat for a few moments, as it seemed a bit familiar to me, but I could not quite piece it together, as to what cat it could be.

I got a bit closer, as the snow begin to go away at the same time as well, as the cat then suddenly realized that I was there with it. It looked at me for a few moments, but to my surprise, it looked a bit scared, as it moved back, away from me at the same time.

I looked at it a bit confused as to what it was that it could be so scared of. I stared at her for just a few moments, as I then realized who the cat was that was in front of me. It was me... It was just a bit of a bigger version of me, like it might be from the future.

Was it scared because it saw me? I stared at it for a few moments, as it did not seem real at all to me. I stood there for just a few more moments, as I saw its eyes then look away from me, as it then turned its head over to a completely different direction.

I looked a bit confused at myself for just a few moments, and then I turned my head over to where it was that I could be looking at. The vision that I was in all of the sudden began to get a slight bit more clear, as I realized that I was in some strange place out in the woods.

I was a slight bit more confused, as I knew that my mother had always told me to never go out there. Had I gone out there, thinking that it might be a good idea? I could tell that I was very scared, and I was not sure what to do.

I wanted to feel bad for me, but at the same time, I knew that I could not, because if I was really out here, than it meant that I had not listened to a single word of what my mother had told me, I then began to get a bit angry at myself as I was about to speak to myself, until I heard another cat speak.

I turned my head over to where it was that I had heard the cat speak. I squinted my eyes at the cat as well, as I was a bit upset at the cat for speaking over me as well. I saw that it was a bit of a strange looking cat, almost as if it were see through.

I saw that it had these weird looking bright spots on it as well, and I was even more confused than I had been before. I left my ears open, as I made sure to listen to what it was that the cat had to say to my future self anyways.

"Do not be scared Limp... You will be safe, you will find somewhere safe..." The cat said to me, but not my current me, but my future me. I was so lost at the moment, I was not sure if I was going crazy, or if any of this could possibly be real.

My future self looked at the cat that had just spoken to her for just a few moments, as it suddenly turned its eyes over to me for some reason, and then it squinted its eyes at me, as I moved back a bit surprised, as I wondered if it might have seen me.

It then turned its head back over to the cat that had just spoken to it, and then it squinted its eyes at the cat as well. I was really lost at the moment now, and I had no clue as to what it was that could be going on. I listened to myself however, as it was a bit strange to say that, as I finally decided to speak up to the cat.

"Who- Who are you? Have you come to save me? To take me to a two leg place?" I said to the cat. I then realized that my theory had in fact been correct, as I now knew that I had ran away from my home for some stupid reason. I shook my head at myself, as I was not too sure what had made me do that.

I then turned my head over to the cat that I had been speaking to at the same time as well, as I saw that cat suddenly decide to squint its eyes at me at the same time too. It then shook its head at me, just as I had done a few moments ago.

I stood still, as I was starting to get a bit scared at the same time as well. I wondered what was going on, and why I was here, I just want to go back to my brother and my sister so badly. Maybe this was some sort of dream that tried to tell me that no matter how rough things seemed to get between them 2, I should not run away.

It did not make sense though, I had never thought about running away, so why was I having this strange dream? I turned my head over to the cat I was with, as I heard him finally begin to speak to my future self, and I listened to what it was that it had to say to me as well.

"Limp... You do not need to worry about that now, they are almost here... Just stay alive..." The cat said to me. I stared at it for a few moments, as I was so lost, and I had no clue as to what it was that was going on. I just stared at the cat for a few moments.

The cat then turned its head to my current self, as it was a lot more different than my future me was. It had its eyes locked right on to mine for some odd reason, and unlike my future self, I could tell that it could clearly see me as well.

The cat stared at me for just a few moments, as I was now beginning to get a bit scared at the same time as well. I looked back, as I thought about running from what was going on, but as I turned my head back to the cat, I saw it wink 1 of its eyes at me.

I stared at it a bit confused for just a few moments, as I turned my eyes over to my future me 1 more time, to see if I even knew what was going on. It did not seem to be the case however, as I saw that I just had my head down low to the ground.

I felt like I should say something to me, to let me know that I was here with it, and that things were going to be okay. I looked at myself for just a few moments longer, as I finally began to step up and speak to myself. But just as I began to speak, all of the sudden, everything just became dark.

I opened my eyes, as I realized all of the sudden, that I was back with Pintclaw, and my brother and sister. I saw that he had been speaking to all of us, and he had been telling us a story, just like he usually tended to do. I blinked just a few times as well, as I realized that I had missed the whole story, and it was now wrapping up.

I got a bit upset at myself, as I wondered how, and for what reason I had just gone into the strange dream. I shook my head at the same time as well, as I felt like I should at least listen to the last part, of what it was that he had to say to us.

"We had 5 different clans, all with 5 different leaders... They got 9 lives from Starclan if they were truly worthy. Now, the reason that the clans failed, is because they did not-" He had begun to say, as it was not the first time that he had told us this story. I sighed in relief as I was glad I had not missed all that much. I then looked back at him as I saw that he looked a bit upset, as he then continued to speak. "Hey! Knock it off!"

I looked at him, a bit confused as to what it was that he had been talking about. It did not take all that long for me to realize what it was though, as I turned my head over to my brother and my sister, as I heard a loud noise of something falling over.

I turned my head over to it, as I saw that it was just the cat bowls that the twolegs used to give us food, and thankfully it had not been anything that was too much worse. I shook my head at the sane time too, as I noticed that they were fighting.

I felt like I should move in, and stop them, as I could tell that it had made Pintclaw a fair bit upset, as he never hardly ever got to finish this story, before they got into a fight with each other. My sister began to speak first, as she hissed at my brother, I listened to what it was that she had to say to him at the same time as well.

"I am going to be the leader! I am better, faster, and smarter than you will ever be, Pike!" She yelled at my brother, my brother looked at her for just a few moments as well, as he suddenly laughed at her at the same time as well.

My sister looked at him a bit confused as to what it was that he had found so funny. I knew at the same time, what she had said had been right, but I still did not think that she would do all that good of a job as a leader. The interaction thankfully had put a bit of a stand still in the fight however.

My brother just kept on laughing, as my sister just hissed at him at the same time as well. She did not attack him, as I could tell that she was genuinely interested in what it was that he found so funny in the first place. She stared at him, as she waited for him to go ahead and speak to her.

I wanted to step in, and stop the both of them, but I too was a bit interested in what it was that he was going to say to her as well. My brother then finally decided that he was done laughing, as he looked at her for just a bit longer, and then he began to speak back to her.

"I am stronger than you will ever be! You think that you could ever beat me in a fight for leader?" He said back to her at the same time too. I looked at him, as he had a bit of a fair point as well. I waited for one of them to then run at the other, but they just stood their ground.

This time it was my sisters turn to start laughing at my brother. Both me, and my brother looked at her, as we were very confused as to what it was that she found so funny. If you had to ask me, though I did not really want to take sides, my brother had won in that regard.

My sister began to roll around, as I could tell that she was getting a bit over the top as to what it was that she had found was so funny. After a bit longer of her just laughing, she then lifted her head up, wiping off her tears, as she then began to speak back to my brother.

"You really know nothing do you? It is not about how strong a cat is, that makes them be a leader, it is about how smart they are..." She said back to him. I looked at her for just a few moments, as I realized that she had a bit of a fair point as well.

My brother then hissed at her at the same time as well, as it was clear that he had not really listened to a word she had said, besides the fact that she had told him that he would not be a leader. He then all of the sudden ran at her, as they then got into another tussle.

I shook my head at the both of them, as I wondered why it really even mattered as to who it was that would ever get leader. Those clans that they talked about, they did not exist anymore, and they were gone, wiped from existence, so I was not sure why they had to fight over who would have been leader.

Neither of them would have been leader, the clans were gone. I closed my eyes, as I was getting a bit tired of this as well. I tried my best to not listen to them hissing at each other, and them knocking a bunch of things over as well.

I then heard Pintclaw then begin to speak to himself a bit quietly, as I opened my eyes, and tried to hear what it was that he had said. It was a bit hard to hear over the 2 cats fighting, but I got the general jist of what it was that he had said.

"Neither of them would be leader, if they just fight over who would be the leader all of the time..." He said to himself. I wanted to laugh a bit, as I knew what he had said had been right as well. It did put a little bit of a smile on my face at least.

That smile did not last all that long, as I heard him let out a bit of a loud cough, and I began to get a bit worried for him as well. I was not sure how much time we had left with him, and I wish my brother and sister realized that as well, rather than spending what little time we had left fighting.

Pintclaw shook his head, as I watched him then walk out of the room, and go to where it was that my grand mother, Brokenfoot had stayed at. I wish that I could help him, and try to make them feel better, but I also knew that they just wanted to be alone as well.

I lowered my head to the ground, a bit sad, as I wish that my brother and sister saw what I saw. I turned my head to them, as I saw them still fighting over who it was that would be the leader of the clan. I shook my head as instead of me stepping in, I just walked away from the both of them.

I saw that my sister had her claws out, and I knew what it was that was about to happen next. I knew that I had to do something, to stop another fight, that might end up in blood again. I quickly jumped down from the small table that I had been standing on, and then I went over to stop them.

But luckily, there was something else that had stopped them this time instead. I turned my head over to the flap door, as I looked over the couch that was in front of me, to see who it was that it might be. I was fairly certain that it was my mother, but sometimes it would be one of her friends going to see her.

My brother, and my sister stopped their fighting, as they had heard the noise as well, and they quickly ran over to where I was, to make sure that it was not our mother. As we all looked there for a few moments, to my surprise in fact, it was neither my mother, or one of her friends.

I stared at the cat for a few moments, as I blinked a few times, to make sure that it was actually the cat that I thought it was, that was in front of me. After a few more blinks, I finally began to come to the realization, that it was in fact that cat.

Both my brother, and my sister got a bit excited, as I knew they loved that cat. They then ran over to him, as they jumped on top of him, this time as a bit of a play fight. He laughed a little bit, as he then pushed the both of them off of him.

They picked themselves up, and they kept that same big smile on their face. I was not sure why they liked him so much, we hardly ever got to see him. They never really did seem this fond about our grand parents, which I was a bit confused about.

My brother stepped up, after a few moments of silence as well, as he decided that he was going to be the one that was going to speak. I shook my head, still a bit lost, but I listened to what it was that Pike had to say to Nut anyways.

"Hi Nut! Tell us all about what it was that it was like out there!" They begged him. I then suddenly realized what it was that they liked about him so much. They wanted him to tell them what it was like out of the two leg place that we lived in.

I was a bit confused as well, as they did not seem to care this much about the stories that our grand parents told them about what it was like in the wild. I shook ny head at the same time as well, as I felt like I should step in, and say something to the both of them.

Just before I walked forward, and said something both my sister, and my brother, Nut decided that he was going to be the one that was going to step up and speak. I looked at him, a slight bit upset, but I listened to what it was that he had to say anyways.

"Were you 2 fighting again? How about this, what if I make a deal with you... If you accept it, maybe you 2 will stop fighting all of the time." He said to the both of them. I looked at him, a bit surprised as to what it was that he had just said to him.

It was not the fact that he had known that they had been fighting that surprised me, but it was more the fact as to what it was that he had said at the 2nd part, that interested me the most. I looked at him, as I got a bit closer to him, to hear what it was, that was the deal that he wanted to make with all of us.

As I got closer to him, I saw that my sister noticed that I had come close as well, and she squinted her eyes at me, as if she were telling me that I should be no part in any of this. I did my best to ignore her, as she looked away from me, seeing that I was not paying her any attention.

I knew that was all that she really ever wanted, she was a bit of an attention horder. If you could not tell by the fact that she was the first one that decided to speak up on what it was that Nut had just said to all of us. I did not look at my sister, but I kept my ears open, as I listened to what it was that she had to say back to Nut.

"But... We love fighting! It is so fun!" She said back to Nut. I looked at Nut, as I saw him squint his eyes at her at the same time as well. It was clear that she did not seem to really care about what it was that he had said to us, at the 2nd part.

I looked over at my brother from the corner of my eye as well. As I saw that he had his head down low to the ground too. It did not seem like he liked to do the fights, like my sister had just said they both did. I knew that he had a bit of an anger issue, such as I did.

I turned my head over to Nut, as I heard him speak back to my sister, Gift, as well. I looked at him for a few moments, as I could tell that all of us were interested in what it was that he had to say back to her as well. I kept my ears wide open.

"I know that you like to fight, so did my kin when we were younger as well, but at some point you have got to get over that... Now, do you want to hear what the deal is that we can make, or not?" He said back us. I looked at him for a few moments, as I wondered what kind of deal it could be.

I had to figure that it would be a good and a smart deal as well, as I knew that he realized that both my brother, and my sister, were big fans of him. We all sat there in silence for a few moments, until my brother decided that he was going to step up, and speak this time.

"Wha- What is the deal?" He said back to Nut. I looked at Nut, a bit confused, and just as interested as the both of them were. Now I was not nearly as fond as they were of him, I was very intreged at what it was that he had to tell us.

Nut stared at us for a few moments of time, as I could tell that he was doing it to build the suspense up in the room. I rolled my eyes at him as well, as he shook his head after a bit longer, and then he finally began to speak what it was that he had promised.

"We are going outside... But don't tell her!"
