His previous mental exhaustion disappeared at his success. This was his fifth day attempting to transform aura into lightning. It had never been heard of unless your semblance was related to lightning or electricity.
It was possible in theory. Aura was energy after all, and energy can be converted to one form or another. He recalled the science in his former life that gave him the basis to attempt this.
There are machines used to change the form of energy but in this case, he was doing the job of the machine.
'After all this time, I've finally done it!' He thought, recalling the sleepless nights he'd had. His mother was seriously concerned about his well being.
Since he wasn't allowed out to train at midnight or too early in the morning, he spent that time recollecting and putting together all that he could remember from his previous life that could help him. Their room in the belladonna house was full of sheets of paper that was filled with theories and hypotheses.

The new skill appeared in his skills tab, further raising his excitement. In his joy, he attempted to use the skill only for the aura gathering in his hand to disperse. His body felt weak as he swayed unsteadily.
Before he could fall, he felt someone hold him up in a way that he was leaning on them. He struggled to open his eyes and saw Blake supporting him. In his excitement, he had forgotten that she was present.
"Put me down." He said as he finally gathered his breath.
"No. You're exhausted, we need to go back." She replied firmly. He refuted to which replied with the same answer over and over again.
"I can walk on my own." He said finally giving in but she wasn't satisfied. Her grip on him tightened as he tried to stand on his own.
He shook his head at her stubbornness. He could easily free himself from her grip, being far stronger than her but that could possibly injure her and he didn't want to get on Ghira's bad side.
He allows himself to be dragged back to the house while he was deep in thought. He looked at his status page.

'I ran out of aura again.' It surprised him how quickly he ran out of aura despite being told that he had massive reserves of his age. It also reminded him that he would have to work on his aura recovery speed.
It was too slow sometimes and forced him to wait until it was at least half full. He couldn't use it as soon as it regenerates as that would be redundant and even more wasteful.
'It was all worth it in the end. Although it takes quite a bit of my aura, it's not [Aura Control] can't handle eventually.' He thought as the pair navigated their way back home.

It didn't take them long for them to reach their destination. Fortunately or unfortunately, they met Kali at the door. She was beginning to get worried after all who wouldn't be worried if their child was outside this late at night.
"Thank goodness you're oka-What happened!?" She asked hurriedly in concern seeing them coming back with Reid leaning on Blake for support.
"Nothing happened. He just overdid it." Blake quickly answers her mother to ease her worries.
'What are you saying? I'm only out of aura, I'm not injured…' he thought, giving both of them a deadpan look which they didn't notice.
They entered the house, treating Reid like an injured patient and helped him to his room. On the way there, they stumbled upon Ghira's study to which the door was left open.
As they passed, Reid saw a few familiar faunus faces in there and one that he would like to put a knife through. As they were about to walk past, Ghira's eyes met Reid's as the panther faunus' eye lit up for a moment.
"Reid, why don't you come in here." He said, getting the attention of the other participants in the room.
Using the moment of surprise that Ghira had given them, Reid pulled himself free from Blake who pouted, noticing what he did. He was going to be in a room with some important faces so he needed to not look weak.
He strolled confidently into the room as three pair of eyes minus Ghira's locked on him.
"What is he doing here? He has no business in the matters of the faunus." A young and aggressive voice spoke out.
Reid turned his head to the bull faunus that assaulted him on his first day on the island. In his eyes, Adam wasn't a real threat so he didn't even spare him a glance.
Instead, his eyes locked on the other person in the room. She was a tiger faunus with very tanned skin with darker stripes along her body.
Her tiger ears above her head being her dominant faunus feature and the small red jewel on her forehead made her easy to recognize. He didn't recognize the last person standing but he couldn't find himself caring.
"What's going on?" He asked, his attention now back on Ghira.
"I believe you are already…acquainted with young Adam. You were wrongfully attacked upon arrival so I think this would be a good opportunity to clear things up between you two." Ghira answer, leaving a way for the young bull faunus to join the conversation and he did but not in a pleasant way.
"There's no way I'm apologizing to a human!" He near screamed, causing Ghira to narrow his eyes.
"Although I admit that Adam was wrong, what is this supposed to achieve?" The tanned woman asked, finally speaking.
"They invaded our nation, they have no right to complain!" Adam threw out aggressively, causing Ghira to sigh.
"Invaded? Such a strong word for such a simple mind…" Reid started, making Adam growl.
"You attacked me so don't complain if I feel the need to disconnect your limbs." He continued as Sienna put a hand in Adam's shoulder to hold him back.
"Don't be an idiot." She said to him as Reid continued, not acknowledging her words.
"Your white fang is supposed to fight for the rights of the faunus, is it not? When I look at you, all I see is someone who views himself above others with no real power to back it up. This isn't about equal rights to you, this is about faunus supremacy." Adam's fury rose with each word that Reid spoke.
"You feel that we humans should get on our knees and serve you. It's no wonder you haven't made any progress." He finished. He had more words but the the other person who he had ignored had now gotten up and was standing in front of Reid.
He finally got a good look at him up close. He was fairly tall and muscular, a bit more than Ghira. His identity as a faunus was denoted by the single horn in the middle of his forehead.
Reid wasn't sure what kind of faunus he was but that wasn't important at the moment.
"I think you've gone on long enough boy." The tall faunus said in a deep and fairly aggressive tone. He was obviously trying to intimidate Reid.
"I wasn't aware that faunus were so sensitive to the truth. Perhaps I should lie and tell you how much of a good impact you're making." Reid shot back, looking the man straight in the eyes clearly not intimidated.
Hearing those words, the bulky man took out what seemed to be a gun from his hip while Adam unsheathed his sword. Reid looked at them with condescending eyes not moving an inch.
"I'm not in the best mood. If you attack me…" Releasing his rein on the aura he had regenerated, his words trailed off as he allowed his aura burst out of his body.
"…I won't take it easy!" He said coldly as his sharingan came to life.
