What would be your reaction if one day you wake up and find yourself in a completely different era, a completely different country and in the body of a person who looked just like you??
Alexis's life was going pretty normally until she finds herself transmigrated to the body of a girl who looked just like her and most importantly, the girl seemed to live a thousand years ago.
And as if waking up as someone else was not enough, she finds herself betrothed to a man of whom she knew nothing. But his hazel eyes kept drawing her close to him and always seemed to offer a sense of familiarity.
Since she didn't believe in love and there was no way she could get herself out of the marriage, she proposes a contract marriage with her would-be husband, which he readily accepts for his own reasons and out of curiosity to know what the woman who looked so simple yet mysterious was up to.
Having lost her mother at a young age and a miserable childhood prompted her to steel her heart and stay a mile away from the matters of the heart.
While looking around the next few days, she realizes that the place she seemed to have been transmigrated into was not as serene as it looked.  
A seemingly peaceful place was going to be the victim of one of the most treacherous schemes made by one greedy and vengeful man.
But it seemed like this was just the tip of the ice berg. 
Days after her wedding, she finds that her biological father is working as the right hand man of this man and is helping him conspire against the royal family.

"The first clause states that no physical contact will be allowed without the consent of the other person, unless there is a life threatening situation.", she read out the first clause.
"I agree.", the man replied calmly.
Few weeks later.
"Mo Ting Xiao!! What are you doing??!", Alexis yelled in shock as she found herself pinned on the wall.
"Kissing my wife...", the man replied nonchalantly as he placed soft kisses on her slender neck.
"You are breaching the contract!!"
"The contract states that a life threatening situation is the exception. And now my heart his going to explode because of your beauty... So let me kiss you to save my life, wifey!!"
With that said, without even giving her a chance to retort, he sealed her lips with his own.
"...."
Was this the same man who would turn red on being complemented by her. Since when did he become this shameless?? How come she never noticed it??
And before she knew it, she was kissing him back with the same intensity.

Contract Marriage : Detective Novelist Falls into the Past

The three of them set off for the palace. They reached there by late afternoon, just in time for tea.


By the time they got off their carriage, the sound of another carriage pulling could be heard. The three of them turned to look at the direction from where the noise was coming. They saw the royal carriage come speeding towards them.


They at once realized who it was and straightened themselves a bit. A minute later the carriage stopped in front of the palace and two men got off. One guy looked a little older than Mo Ting Xiao and the other man looked middle aged. It was Mo Ting Xiao's older brother Mo Tian and the Emperor of Zodiac land.


The two of them were utterly shocked when they heard that Mo Ting Ting had been finally found. The minute they received the message, the two of them got into a carriage and quickly drove to Mo Ting Xiao's palace.


The two guys felt their heartbeat quicken every second they took to turn towards the three of them. First their eyes landed on Mo Ting Xiao who looked as he usually looked except his eyes were slightly red from crying.


Beside him a beautiful woman was standing. Lu Chang Chang. They hadn't got much of a view of her as the marriage was a hurried one. She looked like a goddess and was most definitely a perfect match for Mo Ting Xiao.


Their eyes finally landed on the other girl beside them. The two of their eyes widened. The Emperor felt his eyes moisten seeing how similar she looked to his late wife. Even Mo Tian felt tears forming in his eyes looking at the girl who looked just like his mother.


The two guys swiftly walked forward and hugged her. Even Ting Ting ran and hugged them while crying and saying," D- Dad… Brother Tian !.... I missed you… wah..". She was wailing loudly. Both the guys felt tears rolling down their cheeks. Their little princess was back.


A few tears escaped from Lu Chang Chang's eyes seeing the happy reunion. She quickly wiped those tears off. She was so happy seeing her little sister finally get together with her family..


Mo Ting Xiao who was standing next to her and witnessing the happy moments unfold took a quick glance at her. Coincidentally he saw her wiping her tears quickly. He was thinking back to the day he met her.


He felt she was just an arrogant gold digger…. But … She changed his opinion soon… She was just a sweet girl under all the thick covering of being a tough girl…. She helped him fulfil the dream which he had totally given up on…. His sister….


He didn't know why, but he suddenly felt an urge to hug her and grabbed her by her waist towards him.


Lu Chang Chang was startled by his sudden action. She fell on his chest. She thought she would want to pull away. But surprising herself, not only did she not pull away she even rested her head on his chest. Even her thoughts went back to the day she met him.


To her , he was an egoistic miser…. A man with a horrible temper and could snap at you out of nowhere…. But when she got to know him more, she realized that he was very much like her, lonely and yearning for love… Both hid their longings under the guise of being tough and unapproachable.


Mo Ting Xiao just smiled softly and caressed her hair inhaling her floral scent.


The two of them stood there silently watching the blissful trio. They didn't have the heart to disturb them. But now it had already been ten minutes and if someone else spotted them, then it would mean trouble.


So the two of them walked forward when they noticed that their emotions had slightly stabilised. Lu Chang Chang hugged Mo Ting Ting and slowly walked her inside while Mo Ting Xiao went to support his dad and older brother.
