What would be your reaction if one day you wake up and find yourself in a completely different era, a completely different country and in the body of a person who looked just like you??
Alexis's life was going pretty normally until she finds herself transmigrated to the body of a girl who looked just like her and most importantly, the girl seemed to live a thousand years ago.

"I agree.", the man replied calmly.
Few weeks later.
"Mo Ting Xiao!! What are you doing??!", Alexis yelled in shock as she found herself pinned on the wall.
"Kissing my wife...", the man replied nonchalantly as he placed soft kisses on her slender neck.
"You are breaching the contract!!"
"The contract states that a life threatening situation is the exception. And now my heart his going to explode because of your beauty... So let me kiss you to save my life, wifey!!"
With that said, without even giving her a chance to retort, he sealed her lips with his own.
"...."
Was this the same man who would turn red on being complemented by her. Since when did he become this shameless?? How come she never noticed it??
And before she knew it, she was kissing him back with the same intensity.

Contract Marriage : Detective Novelist Falls into the Past

After chatting for some more time, the three of them left Mo Ting Xiao's palace.


Mo Ting Ting was crying badly when she was leaving Lu Chang Chang. She hugged her tightly and cried for quite a while before getting herself together.


The three guys just stood quietly and watched the two of them with gentle eyes. It was rare to see such bonds exist among family members, let alone two girls who met each other in a forest at the time of distress.


" Hey… Don't cry.. Hmm. I am here only right??. You can come and see me whenever you want.. Stop crying, otherwise you'll make me cry…", Lu Chang Chang said softly while wiping Mo Ting Ting's tears off her face using her thumb.


She then gave her one last hug before she left. She had a sad smile when she was waving at her.


Even if she didn't show it, inside she was very worried. She was worried about how Ting Ting would be treated in the palace. She sometimes felt like a mother to her and seeing wounds on her always stabbed her heart.


After sending them off, both of them returned back to the palace.


Lu Chang Chang was quiet the entire time she ate. Mo Ting Xiao noticed this and frowned slightly. She usually talked quite a lot when they used to eat and he would also enjoy her friendly chatter.


He saw that she had sad eyes. He then understood that she was extremely upset and worried about Ting Ting. He decided to give her some time to get herself back and didn't pester her.


The next day, Lu Chang Chang was back to her former cheerful self.


Things were going pretty well between the two of them.


Mo Ting Xiao stopped throwing his temper at her and she also wasn't as savage as before.


Today was Mo Ting Xiao's 26th birthday. He was excited and was especially waiting for Lu Chang Chang to wish him.


He had learnt from Liu Chen that she had asked the man about his birthday and couldn't help but rub his palms in anticipation about the gift he was going to receive.


But to his awful luck, Lu Chang Chang seemed to have forgotten about his birthday. Even the servants didn't wish him. Only Li Sing Tan and Liu Chen wished him.


He had to go to the royal palace to meet his dad and brother later so he decided to play some tricks and try to get her to recollect her memory.


Lu Chang Chang was simply admiring the flowers in the garden with Chu Chu when she heard someone clear his throat behind her. She turned around and was surprised see Mo Ting Xiao , Li Sing Tan and Liu Chen.


" Yes??..", she asked questioningly." Uhm.. Li Sing Tan… Do you remember that today is the birthday of a special person??", he asked.


Li Sing Tan just looked at him with raised eyebrows. What was this man up to now, he thought in frustration." Yes..??", he replied with uncertainty.


" Chang Chang.. Do you remember???", Mo Ting Xiao asked her.


She looked as if she was thinking and closed her eyes. It looked as if she was trying hard to remember what he was talking about.


" Aahh… How could I forget..", Lu Chang Chang exclaimed and face palmed herself.


Mo Ting Xiao's gaze immediately turned hopeful and he had a bright smile on his face.


He expected Lu Chang Chang to say,' How could I forget that today was my handsome husband's birthday??'. He then day dreamed of her hugging him and giving him a kiss as his birthday gift and naturally, thinking all of this, his smile only brightened.


Poor Ting Xiao didn't know that he was up for a heart-breaking answer from her.
