What would be your reaction if one day you wake up and find yourself in a completely different era, a completely different country and in the body of a person who looked just like you??
Alexis's life was going pretty normally until she finds herself transmigrated to the body of a girl who looked just like her and most importantly, the girl seemed to live a thousand years ago.
And as if waking up as someone else was not enough, she finds herself betrothed to a man of whom she knew nothing. But his hazel eyes kept drawing her close to him and always seemed to offer a sense of familiarity.
Since she didn't believe in love and there was no way she could get herself out of the marriage, she proposes a contract marriage with her would-be husband, which he readily accepts for his own reasons and out of curiosity to know what the woman who looked so simple yet mysterious was up to.

While looking around the next few days, she realizes that the place she seemed to have been transmigrated into was not as serene as it looked.  
A seemingly peaceful place was going to be the victim of one of the most treacherous schemes made by one greedy and vengeful man.
But it seemed like this was just the tip of the ice berg. 
Days after her wedding, she finds that her biological father is working as the right hand man of this man and is helping him conspire against the royal family.

"The first clause states that no physical contact will be allowed without the consent of the other person, unless there is a life threatening situation.", she read out the first clause.
"I agree.", the man replied calmly.
Few weeks later.
"Mo Ting Xiao!! What are you doing??!", Alexis yelled in shock as she found herself pinned on the wall.
"Kissing my wife...", the man replied nonchalantly as he placed soft kisses on her slender neck.
"You are breaching the contract!!"
"The contract states that a life threatening situation is the exception. And now my heart his going to explode because of your beauty... So let me kiss you to save my life, wifey!!"
With that said, without even giving her a chance to retort, he sealed her lips with his own.
"...."
Was this the same man who would turn red on being complemented by her. Since when did he become this shameless?? How come she never noticed it??
And before she knew it, she was kissing him back with the same intensity.

Contract Marriage : Detective Novelist Falls into the Past

Mo Jia was red in anger and embarrassment. Being termed as a 'guest' insulted her pride. When she said about Mo Tingxiao being her husband, her blood boiled.


Mo Ting Xiao is my husband…. He is only mine…. I will make him mine…. Hahaha…. She thought.


Suddenly her eyes landed on Mo Ting Xiao and Li Sing Tan. Thinking that they didn't see any of her drama, she decided to play the pity card and push the blame on to Lu Chang Chang.


" Brother Ting Xiao….", she went running towards him while whining. When she reached near him, she put her hand around his hand and started complaining.


" Brother Ting Xiao… Look at Chang Chang… She hit my maid for no reason and insulted me… She asked me to get out of this palace…. Please protect me brother Ting Xiao…", she whined with teary eyes.


Lu Chang Chang raised her eyebrows in amusement. This one was not going to learn easily… Lu Chang Chang didn't speak anything and was just looking at her calmly… She wasn't affected by her one bit.


The maids standing around looked at Mo Jia in pure shock. How could she dare to falsely accuse the Royal Consort?? This was going on through their minds.


They then looked at Lu Chang Chang with a confused face. Why was she not speaking for herself??? She could seriously be in trouble now…


The servants decided to speak in support of their goddess, Lu Chang Chang. But before they could utter a single word something else happened.


Mo Ting Xiao freed himself from Mo Jia's grip and pushed her away from him." Do you think I didn't see your performance just now??", he asked in an extremely dark voice.


Both Mo Ting Xiao and Li Sing Tan could feel chills down their spines earlier when they saw the cold expression on her face. They were seeing authoritative side for the first time.


The slap shocked them beyond limits. The force with which the maid was slapped was clear seeing the way she fell and how red her cheek was.


Mo Ting Xiao felt happy inside when Lu Chang Chang addressed him as her husband.


Each of the words she spoke were strong and decisive. It was obvious that nobody could go against them.


They could see the admiration for her in the eyes of the servants around. It was indeed very rare to see a master protect her servant like this.


Both were shocked when they saw how Mo Jia tried to push Lu Chang Chang under the bus thinking that they hadn't seen anything.


Mo Ting Xiao looked at Lu Chang Chang to see her reaction when Mo Jia clung to him. He was confused when he saw only amusement in her eyes. He couldn't understand why she was not trying to protect herself.


When he looked in her eyes he could see that she was trying to tell something to him. He thought that she was trying to test the trust he had in her and he was definitely not going to loose in it.


The servants were relieved that Mo Ting Xiao didn't fall into Mo Jia's trap and trusted Lu Chang Chang.


" If you want to continue staying here then follow the rules… Now leave!!..", he said and walked towards Lu Chang Chang. Li Sing Tan followed.


Mo Jia turned even redder. She felt her blood boiling seeing the mocking looks all the servants were giving her.


She thought that her acting was convincing enough and she could kick Lu Chang Chang out of the palace. She didn't think that Mo Ting Xiao had seen everything.


She stomped her feet in anger and walked away. Her handmaid quickly went running behind her.


" What should we do about her Miss??", the handmaid asked Mo Jia when they were away from earshot.


" End her.", Mo Jia replied with a face filled with menace." Contact him and ask him to come tonight..", she said to the maid while walking into her chamber.


" Sure miss.", the maid replied with a bow before sneaking out of the palace.
