Thoughts and Alcohol

Richard glared down at the money. He refused to accept it, but at the same it wasn't like he could return it considering Juliet had already left.

"Well now. I think that this is the first time that you have encountered such a thing." Daniel mused as he watched his friend's dark expression.

"I won't accept the money. You can keep it here with you and if she comes back tomorrow, you can give back to her." Richard replied after a short silence and taking another drink from his glass. Setting it down he began to refill.

"You seem pretty confident that she will be coming back tomorrow." His friend pointed out, refilling his own glass as he took some of the crackers from the table.

"because I know she will. Even though she doesn't understand much about what exactly she would be stepping into, she already agreed it would work out well for her to work with me. Although, you would be the one who would have to pay her since her contract would be an extension of the one that I am signing with you." Daniel frowned at this.

"Are you attempting to drive me towards bankruptcy before we even know if this will turn out to be success?" his tone held an accusatory note to it as he stood up and made his way over to his desk to pickup his cellphone as it had begun to ring. "Should I plan on you signing the paperwork tonight or will you becoming back tomorrow after you get that girl's reply." Looking down who was calling his lips pressed into a thin line.

"Go ahead and take the call. I can answer you when you're done speaking." Richard told the other, he could already tell by the expression who was calling and that they were a person who didn't appreciate having to wait. He watched how his friend's expression light up the moment that he answered the phone and replied with a 'hello dear Miss.'

He had considered a committed long-term relationship many times in the past, but no matter how many times he had tried it and ponder it over the years, he didn't think that it would ever work for him or he would be able to understand how his friend felt. It was never that he struggled to commit to just being with one person but rather he could never maintain his interest over time if he shared the space and attempted to things that couples generally did in relationships. He enjoyed his privacy and personal space too much to share it with another he ended up determining.

Living with another person involved compromise, different organization systems, different sleeping and eating patterns, different ideas about how things should be done or what they should do. Those were the things he couldn't deal with.

For a man he was a very tidy and organized person despite the impression most girls had of him. Many thought because of his salary and the way he talked about business and how he handled things, even his submissive partners that he must have a hired house-sitter or caretaker who kept everything in order and taken care of for him. Thus, the first few girls he tried to cohabitate with didn't understand why he became peevish and reprimanded them for reorganizing his house without his permission or prior discussion.

Reality was that Richard actually took care of everything himself and the setup of his house was done to his satisfaction and exactly for that reason he would never hire a house-house sitter or caretake that could possibly mess anything up. He quickly learned to make it a part of his rules that his house was not be reorganized or decorated by his partners without previous permission or discussion with him if there was anything they didn't like or wanted to see change.

For these reasons he had determined that casual relationships within a kinkier lifestyle were better suited for him. One, having a submissive made it easier to know that the rules he set forward which never unreasonable and could be adapted based upon both their needs meant he didn't have to worry about anything being messed with without his permission or objections to such restrictions. Having the contract in place meant that both parties already knew what the limits of the relationship were, and it prevented any mixed messages if the relationship lasted for an extended period of time.

Richard had gotten so lost in his thought that he hadn't realized he had been still drinking the amber liquid in his glass or refilling his unconsciously until he heard Daniel's voice and realized that he was attempting to talk to him while still on the phone.

I think that someone maybe perhaps has had a bit too much to drink tonight. Maybe another time would be better when he's more sober." Richard scoffed at what his friend said while refilling his glass again.

"I may be on the cusp of being buzzed but that doesn't mean I'm inebriated to the point of not being able to understand you and reply for myself. If she wants to come, she can." He looked at the amber liquid in his glass. He probably was a touch more wasted than he wanted to admit, but it helped him to take the edge off the annoyance he had been feeling.

"Well Miss Melissa, he has granted his permission for you to come over if you so desire. I may recommend snatching Valentina if you see her on your way over here. I think her company might be appreciated." He exchanged a few more words before ending the call and setting the phone back down as he stayed leaning against his desk while observing his friend.

"I will still be signing that contract tonight. I will need three days however in order to have something sold put together. It's never hard to find eager people ready to jump in, remind them of proper conduct and how to behave is always where the problem starts."

"Oh definitely. I expect everything to take some time, and if you need extra hands, Walter I am sure would be willing as well as Melissa." Daniel agreed. Hardly after he finished speaking the door opened and two men walked in. One was much taller than the other and held the air of someone with heavy confidence and assurance in themselves. She had long black hair and was dressed in a crimson long-sleeved shirt with black pants with matching black stilettoes. The other girl who was shorter and appeared to be more timid was wearing a dark pink crop top and black skinny jeans with flats on inside of heels. Her hair was cut to just above her shoulders but still held enough body for one to weave their hand through it and grasp it firmly. Spotting Richard one the sofa and seeing the way that he was looking at her, she made her way over to him without saying a word. Carefully taking the glass from his hand while making sure that he had no objection to it, she took a small sip before setting it down next to him and moving closer so that she could straddle his hips.

Richard moved his hands so that that one wrapped around to touch her lower back and the other rested on her legs while her hands were firmly planted on his shoulders. They stared at each other for short while, the girl waiting to see what Richard's expectations were and he waiting to see what she would do without him commanding anything. Finally, the girl leaned forward to give him a kiss.

"I can see that we won't be finding ourselves in extra company for much longer." Daniel commented as he moved to stand next to the other girl. The only reply he got at first was a 'hmm' as she moved her hand closest to him to card through his hair.

"That's quite alright, I think we might prefer some privacy ourselves for some of the things we have to discuss and do."
