Headache

KRISHIELLA'S POINT OF VIEW:

He was acting quite odd. What happened? Was he that upset with me? I'm pretty sure his facial expression did not give me that kind of vibe. Surely, there must be something else bothering him.

"Krishiella!" I raised my head and saw my best friend, Serene Campbell, smiling brightly at me. "Serene, you're here!" I exclaimed as I ran towards her with my arms wide open. I wrapped my arms around her, hugged her tightly, and burried my face on her neck. "It's been so long..." I whispered.

I missed her so much! She's my best friend and she's helped me a lot back then. She was even—huh? That's weird. I don't... I don't remember anything about her when Vaughn and I were already engaged.

"I missed you so much! Father and I just arrived from our journey two days ago, and I made sure to visit you right away after I had taken some rest," she said as she hugged me back.

My head hurts so bad... It really... hurts.

"U-Uh... yes. I missed you, too," I said as I let go of her. "Are you alright? You look quite pale, Krishiella," she said with a worried expression on her face as she held my shoulders while scanning my face carefully. "Yes, I think I'm alright," I said and smiled—reassuring her that I am fine.

My head really hurts. It's like my whole head is throbbing and it would crack open anytime soon. Why am I having this headache? Is it because I haven't slept well these past few days?

"No, you're not alright. I shall bring you to your room so you could rest now," she said as she held my right arm and started walking to the direction of my room. I did not protest since she was right—I am not feeling very well. "I heard you have not gotten an adequate amount of sleep these past few days. It must be why you aren't feeling very well," she said as we walked. "Yes, maybe," I replied briefly.

I'd like to talk less or maybe not talk at all for now. My head hurts so bad, and whenever I speak, the pain becomes more unbearable.

As soon as we arrived in front of my room, she immediately opened the door. She laid me on my soft mattress and tucked me in my blanket. "You should rest for now. I'll call the physician for you. It seems like my timing was quite off. I'll visit you again tomorrow," she said as she ran her fingers through my hair, as if combing it. I nodded slightly and smiled a little. "I'll take my leave now, Krishiella. I hope you'll feel better soon," she said and smiled before finally leaving the room.

I closed my eyes and soon fell asleep.

"Hello again, Princess," he said as he waved his hand at me while sitting on thin air. "Sir Savior!" I exclaimed as I ran towards him. "Are you that happy to see me?" He said jokingly and chuckled. I did not mind his question and said, "For what reason did you bring me here again?" He put his forefinger and thumb under his chin and smiled. "It's because you had a headache, sweetheart," he said and winked. "What does that have to do with anything?" I asked as I looked at him, clearly confused.

"Well, first and foremost, you have to figure that out yourself. Second, I just brought you here to give you that clue. And third, you must not forget the magic book's message," he said and stood up. He walked closer towards me and eyed me from head to toe. "You don't seem to be doing well even with Prince Vaughn at your side. Perhaps there must be some kind of reason why you are not feeling at ease. I wonder what that is..." He said and smiled as if there was a meaning behind his smile.

"Please stop beating around the bush, Sir Savior. I genuinely want to know why. I do not understand anything you're saying," I said as I looked at him with pleading eyes. "I told you, those were the only things I could tell you for now. I can't tell you anything more or I'll get punished," he said and shrugged. "Just remember what I told you, Princess. Find out the reason why you had a headache, and you must not forget the magic book's message for you," he repeated.

Before I could speak, I found myself laying on my bed, already awake. I let out a heavy sigh and sat up from my bed. "Again, he wouldn't even let me speak," I grumbled as I fixed my hair.

Oh... I did not change into my nightgown yesterday.

I immediately jumped out of my bed and took a bath on my own. I took a simple dress out of my closet so I wouldn't have a hard time putting it on by myself.

Today is the day where a ball will be held in the palace for the Crown Prince of Rosiello Empire, Vaughn Rosiello. The ball will be held during the evening and I still have a few hours left to prepare.

I took the key to the Blue Room from my drawer, and went out of my chambers to head there right away. I have to look stunning tonight. I have to look good for Vaughn.

"Good morning, Your Majesty," a maid greeted, but I did not bother to stop and greet her back. I have to get to the Blue Room as soon as possible. I don't have all the time in the world. Though I still have plenty of hours before the ball starts, it still wouldn't be enough time for me to prepare.

As soon as I got to the Blue Room, I held out the key and opened the door. As I went inside, I scanned the whole room to look for a dress that I should wear later.

I let out a heavy sigh and took a look at every dress on sight. "If only I had a lot of time to prepare, I would have asked someone to tailor a dress for me," I whispered to myself and continued to look.

I do not have time to lose. I have to prepare for later.

Just wait and see, Vaughn. I'll make your jaw drop and make you fall in love with me tonight. Not just you, but every man present, too.
