Worry

KRISHIELLA'S POINT OF VIEW:

My head hurts so bad.

I kept panting and sweating as I lay on my bed, trying to fall asleep. Elliana left to call a doctor so I'm currently alone in my room.

Why do I keep having these headaches?

I heard a knock from the window but I don't have the strength to stand up. It was unusual hearing a knock from the window, but I didn't find it weird when I saw who it was.

"I heard you're sick," he said as soon as he opened the window and jumped in. I didn't respond because talking makes my head hurt more.

"You're in a very bad shape. We're you sick earlier when I taught you magic?" He said as he slowly walked closer to me. I shook my head a bit as a response.

Ah... My headache got worse.

"You don't have to respond in any way. Your condition might get worse," he said and sat beside me. He was staring at me with an upset expression. His eyes look so worried.

Am I hallucinating?

Adonis Leandro Castiello, the devil incarnate who can't do anything else but annoy me is worrying about me?

He kept staring at me to the point where it felt uncomfortable. I couldn't tell what he was thinking. I wanted to ask him why he's doing that, but I didn't have the strength to do so.

He put his hand over my head and said, "Sleep."

My eyes felt heavy and I then slowly fell asleep.

"Get well soon, Krishiella..."

"Looks like things are getting interesting, huh?"

Again, I'm in this dark place with only the two of us present.

"What do you mean?" I said as I turned to face him. He just smiled and said, "You're so oblivious, princess. You'll know soon enough."

"Ethan, will you please stop beating around the bush?" I grunted. He just chuckled and said, "By the way, have you forgotten the main reason why you're here in this academy?"

"Changing the subject, huh?" I frowned at him. He just shrugged with a smug look on his face. "No. Of course, I haven't forgotten," I replied.

During the past few days that I've been here, I found out that we can have access in the library as soon as classes start. Of course, I wasn't so dumb to believe that there wasn't some kind of part in the library where we're not allowed to enter.

I've been going there almost everyday, and I found out that there was actually a place like that in the library. Normal students do not have access there and the only way to enter is to become one of the El Ocho Estrellas, translated as 'The Eight Stars'.

The Eight Stars are the students who are at the very top of this academy. Being allowed to go here is already something to be proud of, but being part of El Ocho Estrellas is something you can brag about for a lifetime. Those who excel in their particular talent will be announced as one of El Ocho Estrellas.

My brother, Crown Prince Nikolai, is one of El Ocho Estrellas back when he studied here. In fact, he was 'Uno', the number one.

The ranking starts from Uno, Dos, Tres, Cuatro, Seis, Siete, and lastly, Ocho.

"That's great, then. Always keep your goal in mind," Ethan said with a serious look on his face.

I nodded and before I could speak again, I slowly lost my consciousness.

*****

Haaa... Our conversation was so short again.

I opened my eyes and the first person I saw was an old man who seemed to be in his 60's. Judging from his clothes, one could tell that he's a doctor.

Ah... This is Doctor Abraham, my personal doctor.

"Your highness, you're awake," he said as he bowed his head to show his respect. "Your highness, please forgive me for arriving so late. I wasn't anywhere near this academy when I received the news about your health," he said, still bowing his head.

"At ease," I said softly, still having a hard time from speaking.

He slowly raised his head and when our eyes met, I can see how worried he was to see me in this state.

Elliana who was standing behind the doctor then said, "Princess, I wasn't able to tell anyone about your condition. If I did, it would only allow the imperial family's enemies to plot an attempt to assassinate you."

I nodded my head slightly and said, "Thank you."

I almost forgot about my situation. No matter which year I came back from, I will still be a target of people with maliscious intent as long as I'm a part of the imperial family.

I moved my eyes without moving my head to see if there was anyone else in this roon aside from the two of them.

I felt strangely disappointed when I didn't see anyone else. Who... did I expect to be here?

"Your highness, is something the matter?" I looked at the doctor and gave him a faint smile. "No," I replied briefly.

"Oh, well then. I will proceed to the explanation about your highness' condition. Your highness was experiencing fatigue and stress that caused you to have a fever. It won't last for long if your highness will take your medicine and get plenty of rest for at least three days. Please avoid doing strenuous activities for it will worsen your highness' condition," the doctor said and cleared his throat.

"Your highness will have to take this medication for a week and please eat healthy food while taking medicine," he continued.

"I will, thank you," I said and gave him a gentle smile. "It's my pleasure, your highness," he said and bowed his head.

"You may leave now," I said and he did as I told him.

I looked at Elliana and saw that she looked so worried about me.

"I'm alright," I said as I smiled to give her the assurance that I really am fine.

She walked closer to me, sat on my bed and gave me a hug.

"I'm sorry."
