Yi Chao entered a passage with a "Hehe", not bothering to look behind him. Asura and Xia tagged along while Tianlong Bai lagged behind. It seemed as if he was pondering about something.

Tianlong Bai had no idea that his thoughts were obvious to Asura ever since he started behaving weirdly during the conversation. Asura never expected this guy to be so preoccupied with such thoughts.

There seemed to be something more twisted in Yi Chao's words, but he craftily worded his sentences to avoid revealing exactly what.

Tianlong Bai's sarcastic voice sounded, "Respect for elderly? Hmph. I would rather die than have someone like you show respect to me."

Yi Chao merely shook his head and cupped his hands to Asura while politely saying, "Little master, please don't mind us speaking like this. I'm only giving an advice to this fool. I hope we aren't bothering you with this..."

Asura shook his hand to let Yi Chao know that he doesn't mind.

Yi Chao: "Well then, it's all good. By the way, do you have any preferred type of weapon, little master?"

Asura: "Hmm... not really. I've never used any weapon until now."

Yi Chao's eyes narrowed, "Is that so... Then, you can freely pick from any of the following ones! Be my guest."

As he said that line, they entered a spacious room with many entries leading to it. It seemed as if this was a storage room connected to the other parts of this Midnight Alliance's Crescent Moon branch. There were many various things thrown around on several piles but there were also some things placed in separate spaces like unique weapons and some kinds of herbs, pills or whatnot.

Whatever one could imagine, they would very likely find here. It wouldn't even be an understatement to call it Heaven for common people.

Yi Chao came to a stop, turned 180 degrees and performed a half-bow. "Please feel free to look around. Both you and your little sister may pick any three things that you like from this room. Consider that our payment for mindlessly offending you by mistake."

Asura and Xia looked at each other as their eyes lit up. When Yi Chao saw this, he smiled while thinking to himself. 'Although things here are quite pricey and rare, any of them are worthless compared to the favor from these two little Saints. By the time Yi Chao came to terms with himself, Asura, Xia and Tianlong Bai took a stroll around the room, inspecting many of the items scattered around. From time to time, Tianlong Bai's brows would furrow and reflect confusion, sometimes even anger in his heart. It seemed as if he recognized many of the things here but he didn't like what he saw. Or perhaps he wasn't even thinking about any of this...

Asura paid attention to the old man's mood and noticed the fluctuations of anger coming off from him. Truth be told, he didn't hate this old man and wanted to avoid any confrontation with him but it seemed as if the more they were here, the more resolute the old man became in his original intentions.

Asura sighed internally. 'It seems I shouldn't go around helping people randomly. I don't know what kind of Sacred Dragon this guy was, but he obviously wants to kill me even though I saved his life previously... Was I wrong to help? Why is it that every time I help someone, it comes back to bite me in the ass... Such misfortune, *sigh*.'

Xia glanced at Asura and noticed his furrowed brows. Just as she was wondering what was troubling him, she heard his voice in her mind, 'I believe the old man wants to kill me.'

Xia's brows jumped when she heard this. She unsealed the green seed in her Soul World and transmitted her thoughts over. 'Why?'

Asura: 'From what I was able to feel, he thinks of me as a potential threat because of the story I said previously. It seems as if he's a very justice-driven man so he feels obliged to take care of me before I become stronger and threaten their family or something along those lines. Honestly, I wouldn't like to confront him but if he decided to attack, I won't hold back either.'

Xia: 'I am with you regardless of what you decide in any case. If one man wants to kill you, I will kill one man. If two men want to kill you, I will kill two! If the entire world wants to kill you, we will destroy the entire world. And if fate itself wants to take you away, then us together shall twist the fate!!!'

Asura felt touched by Xia's words and his eyes became slightly moist. He hadn't heard many words of encouragement in his past life, only belittling ones. He truly felt happy now that he had this little girl by his side. He felt a surging pride in his heart - the pride that could defy the world itself. The relationship of mutual benefit is what both of them wanted and because of that, both Asura and Yi Chao were happy. But the happier the two seemed, the more irritated Tianlong Bai's mood became.

Suddenly, Asura turned around and looked straight into Tianlong Bai's eyes, with a face of an innocent kid. "Old White, what's the matter? You seem somewhat unhappy?"

Tianlong Bai closed his eyes while slowly exhaling to calm his agitated mood. 'It's best I don't jump to conclusions early. This youngster may be just acting it out, there's still hope!'

As soon as Asura moved his eyes away from Tianlong Bai, his mood returned to the previously agitated one as he kept changing his mind rapidly. It seemed as if Asura's gaze made him temporarily give up his ideas for a second and then everything returned to previous state.

Asura: 'Hopeless, huh? Well, whatever. I tried.'

Asura sighed and glanced at Xia who looked at him with her head only slightly turned in his direction. He nodded and Xia nodded in return, affirming that their thoughts were the same. Asura warned her to be on guard against the old man since he seemed to be falling into even deeper indecisiveness and confusion.

Asura turned to Yi Chao again and said: "Brother Yi, would you be so kind as to give this youngster an advice. I really don't know what are good things and what aren't. About this herb, don't worry. I could take it and nothing would happen to me just as I am right now, so don't hold back because of that."

Yi Chao felt overjoyed that little Saint had called him by using a word 'Brother'. It seemed as if this young boy had acknowledged his good intentions. But just as he was about to speak, he suddenly felt killing intent coming from behind before suddenly disappearing. He didn't need to think much to realize what was going on. The only thing he did was glance to the side and notice that Asura smiled at him and then also glanced towards the old man covertly, as if contemplating something.
