chapter 2

Kasmine's POV
We arrived at the hospital and Anthony had
helped me out of his Jeep. "This doctor
isn't a human right I can only link with
wolves" I asked him through the link, at
this point my wolf has gotten used to
linking him, so, I didn't have to touch him
anymore.
"Yes, he's a wolf" He replied with a
kind smile and I felt my little bit of fear
disappear. We walked into the building and
a nurse immediately led us to a room. I sat
on the bed and he sat in the chair across
from me, after a few minutes, the doctor
walked in.
"Hello Alpha, I assume this is the girl you
linked me about" The doctor said and
Anthony nodded. "Hello Kasmine, I'm Dr.
Richards, the pack doctor, I'll be examining
you today. he stated putting his hand out
for me to shake "um hello and just call me
Kazzy" I linked when I shook his hand.
"You weren't kidding Alpha, how magnificent, I've never seen anything like this" He exclaimed, turning around to Anthony, "You'd really think I would lie to you 'doc'?" Anthony replied and Dr. Richards shakes his head. "Mind if I examine your larynx first?" he asked
turning back to me as I shook my head "no".
He started to feel around my throat l could feel him tense up when he felt it. He
had turned to Anthony, and at that point I
knew he had linked him.
"What's wrong?" I asked, grabbing the
doctor's arm and he turned back to me.
"Well just feeling your voice box alone, I
could tell it is very damaged "l want to do a CT scan of your throat to see what
damage there is, if you don't mind" he said
looking at me worried and I looked over at
Anthony.
I don't know" I said, linking them both at
the same time, "l say do it who knows
maybe we can fix your voice" Anthony
interjected. I nodded cautiously in
agreement.
Half an hour later, I was inside of the
machine. I was trying to stay calm, l'd
never been in one before, so it was weird.
Shortly after I was done, I was brought
back to the room. I sat on the bed and
waited for the doctor to return.
After a while the doctor came in "Alpha can
I speak to you for a minute?" Dr. Richards asked, poking his head through the door.
Anthony nodded and followed him whilst
closing the door.
Anthony's POV
"What is it doc?" I questioned, after
closing the door. "It seems Miss Rivera has
a form of Vocal box paralysis, along with
laryngitis. The Vocal box paralysis is
what is causing her inability to speak.
Meanwhile, the laryngitis is causing the
swelling. The only thing I'm confused on, is
laryngitis is normally caused by overuse of
the vocal cords." he stated in a serious
tone. "Can you cure her?" I asked, crossing
my arms.
"With how long she's had it, I'm not sure
yet, there could also be other factors, but I will try" He replied.
"WHERE IS MY DAUGHTER?" I heard a man yell. "That's Alpha James Rivera. How did he find out she's here?" I asked Dr. Richards. "I didn't call, you gave me strict orders not to." He replied.
I walked over to her father, who had
stormed into the hospital. "Alpha James,
what a pleasure..." I had said, when he
interrupted me, "Where is she?" He spat.
"Who?" I questioned. "Kazzy, where is she?
l am sure she's here." He said angrily "ls
she the girl that can't talk?" I replied "Yes,
where.." "Sir, we've found her" some man
interjected. "No! Let me go, let me go.
heard her exclaim through the mind link.
"Sedate her!" he yelled, and the next thing i
know, they are dragging her, unconscious body to him.
"Where are you taking my mate, Alpha
James?" I interrogated. He looked at me
shocked, "I'm taking her home you may be
her mate, but until she's 18, she is mine."
he said harshly, making him seem like a
protective dad.
"Fine, I will see you next month on her
birthday. Alpha James if you don't give me
my mate, at that time, a war will start" I
stated, and he glowered at me, then stormed off. if the hospital hadn't been on neutral ground, I would've killed him. I sighed "l promise, I'll get you back, Kazzy" I said, guilt in my voice.
Kasmine's POV
I Woke up in a familiar place, my home. No,
I couldn't be. How did he find me? "Hey
Kaz." I suddenly heard "Lucky for you,
you're stuck with me for the next month.
Ready to have some fun?" the familiar
voice, of my ex best friend Walter, rang
through the room.
He was once my best friend, now he was
my nightmare. Just Like the rest of this
pack, except he was worse, no matter how
much I tried I couldn't fight him off. "Oh,
don't give me that look." he pouted, walking
over to me with a needle, filled with pink
liquid. "As always, Ill make sure you enjoy
it he grinned, as he got close to my ear,
then stuck the needle into my neck.
I almost immediately started to feel hot.
Everything became so hot and vague. All
he did at first was touch my arm and a
moan came out of my link, like it was
uncontrollable. He slowly walked his
middle and index finger down my arm and
I Let out another moan. "See, doesn't that
feel good babe" he smiled, taking my pants
off and kissing my thigh. "You will bear my
pups, sweet Kazzy, I promise" he smiled
cruelly, as he started taking more of my clothes off.
Soon we were both naked skin on skin.
At that point, I had closed my eyes and
blocked all the so called feel goods out.
That stupid drug may have made me feel
good at the time, but after it happened, my
heart and mind felt torn. I had a mate. I
may not have met him yet, but he was
there, how could he accept me when he found out that all this had happened.
weeks went by and the same thing happened everyday. after what felt like hours he finished for the day. this was what my life had become. To him I was him I was his toy that couldn't fight back, and as always when Walter left the room I began to cry.
it's sad because this was the third week, it had happened. My heat was due anytime, with or without the drug. He may not have known when, but he knew it was before my birthday.
