The current of the sea smoothly approaches Joe, suddenly waking him up from his slumber. His head is throbbing like a flock of angry shrunken bastards using multiple hammers to bang his brain into a mush. As this occurs, it takes him a few moments to fully awaken himself and realize where he's placed, "Mountain Sea Creek? Why am I here?!" he thinks. Nobody is around but him, the smell of a fresh ocean breeze, and the pain he feels from the rocks he's been laying on the whole night. It's either someone was cruel enough to keep him there without his control or he was too lazy to make it back home… it can't be the latter because his car is nowhere to be found. The smell of his breathe gives hims a vodka hard, "Oh god, just freaking great." As he slowly picks his naked body up with a few failed attempts, he rubs his soft hazel eyes then stretches his body to relieve all the tension. After gathering all of the scattered clothes and his sense of being, he starts heading towards what looks like a familiar path.
After 40 mins of an excruciating walk and what felt like starvation, he makes it to the front of his house. Gray smooth-texture patterns all over the exterior walls with a few glass walls at the anterior, revealing his elegant living room. While he's walking on the glass steps to make it to his front door, he looks over to the right and spots his car parked outside of his home, like it's never been touched. He's confused because he remembers taking his car to the celebration party. He shakes his head and looks for his back up key that he hides under a rock nearby. He checks his living room clock : 10:34am. He quickly walks to close the curtains and locks every door and window around on the first level as he's afraid someone might harm him. When he observes the whole room, the place is a wreck. He has no recollection of it ever being messy so he assumes that 1.) someone robbed him or 2.) he must have been heavy on alcohol. Once the phone fully charges, his initial thought is to call his maid but there's no answer. Her morning routine was cleaning and she performs well without skipping a heartbeat.
"Somethings not right here." He grabs his phone again to check any missed calls. Anything that could potentially help him understand what transpired earlier that day. He takes a seat on his couch to think, then decides to take everything out of his pockets to try to find any hints that'll help him remember anything. Surprisingly he comes across a note and opens it: "What I did to you last night was worth leaving my house. Oh and congrats on your promo… xoxo!"
