Chapter 4:

I don't understand where is the danger I am feeling coming from if I were in my own body I would have been able to pinpoint straight away where the danger is already without tiptoeing around like an idiot right now.

I put my hand out and push Uncle and May back into the room just so I could look around to see what is the problem. Why is it I am having the uncontrollable urge that something is going to attack us?

"Seem fine out here."

"Can we go out now September?"

"Yes, I think it is safe."

Well, fudge I shouldn't have said that as all of a sudden, the danger that I been feeling became stronger and it is aiming straight at us.

"Ah!" May scream out as I turn to see the rotten flesh and bone of a hand flying straight at uncle and strangling him with all it might.

Oh my god, the hand root became its own Spiritwalker conscience and trying to drag the rest of its body into a Spiritwalker no wonder I got a sense of danger it was from this piece of flesh.

May try to tear the finger that gripping on to uncle neck but she is to weak to even get one finger off our uncle. I could see that uncle's face turning from normal to purple the longer the finger strangle him. Shoot this thing is not playing game at all it is looking to crush his neck completely.

"May try not to loosen your hand on the finger, if you do then it will crush uncle neck."

"I am trying, help already."

"Wait a sec."

"Hurry up, I can't keep this up."

"Just leave me. Try and save yourself."

"No, we cannot leave you, uncle, stop talking nonsense." That was the first time I ever seen May shout at anyone ever since I woke up in this body she have always been smiling and laughing.

"Bro do whatever it you need to do quickly."

"Okay." I run toward the first aid kit and looked for something that is flammable and finally I found rubbing alcohol and set fire to it.

"Watch out," I called out as I run close with the fire. "Uncle bear with the heat for a bit."

"Okay, do whatever it is you need to do."

"Sis you can let go of the finger now."

"Are you sure?"

"I am quite sure just do it."

"O..kay"

As soon as she let go of the finger I push the fire right next to the hand and of course it let go of uncle making him stumble forward. The arms drop to the floor and started to shake in fear of the fire I put myself between uncle and the arm.

"Bring uncle out of this room."

"Wait what about you?"

"Don't worried about me just go and shut the door behind you."

"September Froses what are you thinking, we can't leave you."

"May just listen to me there not much time left, you guys are in the way I need to kill this thing. The longer we let it live the stronger it will become."

"Okay just be careful, if you die I am going to come after you and kill you myself." Gee May is so scary when she is mad how come I never knew this before but then again I only been in this body of my only 3 days ago.

May pull uncle up and rush out of the bunker while shutting the door behind her with a very worried expression. I smile at her reassuringly actually I do want to test out my strength right now and fighting the root without any intelligent is the best way to test out my abilities. Let see if I still have my original ability, I rush over to the knife that I hide at the corner of the room. Now that uncle is not here the only living person is me so the arms began to come for me but it fear the fire and some how instinctively try not to get close.

As the fire go out it jump toward me finally with nothing else to fear. Now how do I fight this thing when there is no brain to kill or even a mouth how is it going to infect me I wonder. Actually Stepfiney worried more about yourself then how it going to infect you, cause it is quickly coming for your neck right now.

Boy is it fast if I didn't activate my ability already I would not be able to see the arm at the speed it was coming at me. this new body of can only be pretty it can't even fight very well. Did I not do any exercise before because right now I am out of breath already from just trying to doge away from the flesh-eating arm.

I swing the knife and almost cut the arms off but it jumps back and dodge the blow. Dame this thing is tougher then I imagine all of a sudden the jump at me with it finger spread out and press itself on to my face. I struggle to get out of it grip, I for sure do not want to die here for haven sake.

The strength of the finger seem to have become even more stronger then before as I fight to get it off my face the sudden nail growth almost give me a heart attack. One of the long shape nail is right next to my right eyes and if my reaction was not quick I would have an eye already. Sweat roll down my back from the though of losing an eyes.

I thraw the arms away from me but before it flew of the nail scratch deep in to my arm leaving a long gash. Blood oozes out like a broken tap that squirt out water nonstop.

I almost lost the grip of the knife as so much blood come out. The arm slash down on my stomach and I use the momentum of the adrenaline that I receive from the blood lost I activate my ability and some how everything stop.

Yes! It work, the arm floated in the air in mid jump as if it is frozen in the air but this is my original ability to move so quickly that everything freezes in my eyes. I quickly move seeing as I could feel that I am going to lost control of my power very quickly. I still not able to use it as I like.

I took this opportunity and swing the knife splitting the arms in two, if anyone were to see the action it would looked like in a blink of an eyes I stop how teleported to another part of the room and cut the arms in to half.

After cutting the arms in half it still reacted and move about but it very slow now. I step on the arms using the knife cutting it in to small little pieces and just to make sure I stump on it hard that the flesh and bone became a mangle mess. Where as I am cover head to toe with the disgusting blood and flesh.

I drop to the floor breathing hard and started to relax my muscle my goodness every part of my body is so sore right now. Using my ability with this body is hard work but I think it can be done if I do more exercises and keep practising, it should get better.

I move my body toward the wall and feeling so relax that I want to pass out and sleep, but all of a sudden I hear a sound coming from the door and turn to looked and see May running to looked for me in panic as she could not find me anywhere, seeing as I am behind the door.

"Sis over here."

"Brother!"

"May I told you not to open the door."

"Well if I didn't open the door were you planning on dying in this room."

"Of course not, there are food to last me to the next month to come."

"Yeah, yeah keep up your joke. Let see how far it will bring you."

"Brother what happen to you." June run in and hug me while I am still bloody all over.

"Ouch, that hurt."

"Where does it hurt, brother I'm sorry did I hit your wound." June begin to panic and start crying.

"It hurt here." I point to my heart. "Because my cute little sister is worrying about me to the point of crying." I use my good hand and ruffle her hair in a teasing manner.

"June it better to let brother go and clean himself, so we can see where exactly the treatment needed to be done."

"Okay, take care brother."

"Make sure to wash yourself properly." May glair at me dame the girl is really piss off with me while she throw a towel right at my face.

"May come on stop being so angary with me."

"Who says I am angary, it not like your body is healthy to begin with. You were just release from the hospital and what do you do, you go off giving blood. Fight monster trying to be a hero, keep on sacralising and putting yourself in danger. No I am not piss off at all."

"Come on my beautiful sis stop being angary already it bad for your health." I grab her hand and swung it like a child and give her a big teary eyes attack that no gender can escape.

"Fine" she sign deeply "Just stop making me worried about you all the time, seriously I only have one heart I don't think it can take any more attack from how you behave."

Oh wow if May doesn't like me putting myself in danger then she is so not going to like what I have plan next. Yep she is so going to kill me or tie me up and never let me out of the house ever.

"Go and shower for now, I will cook something nutritious to nourish your body."

"Okie dookie mam." I salute her playful as I did this June could not help but giggle at my antick.

After I shower I can finally asses the wound on my body, looking in the mirror I looked much thinner then before I woken up from the coma. I definitely done to much and push myself to the limited of my ability. That why I looked so gaunt and thin. As I was getting dress a knock came from the door.

"Who is it?"

"It me your aunt."

"Oh, just one second" I quickly put on my shirt, trying to hind the long gashing wound on my arms. "Okay, the door is not lock you can come in."

"How are you feeling," Aunt walk in with a first aid kit.

"I feel much more refresh now that I had a shower, and wash away all that grime of flesh and blood."

"It so like you to try and lighten the mood by joking."

"Wait I use to joke around when situation get tenses."

"Of course you do, your personality have not change that much since you lost your memory."

"Really," I would have thought that I would be completely different from the original person.

"And you still have the habit of fidgeting around when you're trying to hide something from me or your uncle."

"Oh shoot, I been caught."

"Now show me what is it that you're trying to hide from me. Don't even try to lie because I know you to well, child you are completely bad at lying to save your life."

What the heck I guest the personality of September and Stepfiney is not that different after all. No wonder nobody even suspected that the soul have been switch or replace.

"I'm not trying to hide anything, it just that I don't want you guy to worried to much about me."

"Stop delaying and show me."

"Okay," I show her the long arm gash and she inhale in shock at how deep the cut is.

"Child are you stupid, if I did not come into check on you were you trying to hide your serve wound under a long sleeve t-shirt."

I couldn't say anything as she pint point me right to the spot all I could do is give her my very cheeky smile that no living human can escape from. Aunt Liliy became blank for a moment and then she quickly smack me on the head.

"Don't try to use that trick on me, you stupid child." She began to dab the wound with the cotton quite hard and I could not some grimacing.

"Oh so it does hurt, I thought you are numb to pain seeing the way your were acting."

Boy I never knew that woman can get so scary when they are piss off, she is not going to let me off easily is she. I hope she is not going to torture me to much.

"Auntie."

"What is it?"

"I'm sorry about before."

"About what?"

"When I hit you on the neck to make you pass out."

"Oh that. I forgive you because we were both just worried about our family. You were just trying to protect everyone and you seem to know exactly what is happening out there. I am grateful that you were preparing everything for us even though at time we didn't understand what you were planning to do."

"Well you know what my plan was quite crazy, but you and everyone just when along with me event thought you don't understand what was happening so thank you for that."

I smile feeling so grateful and how much love the family have for September that even I an outsider can feel the love and warmth of every member of the family that it almost bring me to tear. I never even had a loving family before so that why I really wanted to save this family that have so much love and kindness.

"September you're such a good child. Don't ever lost that kindness of your." Kindness I don't think I am kind I have a selfish motive to everything that I do. I am not a kind person.

"Don't make that face." Aunt Liliy ruffle my hair and pat it. "Even though you don't remember who we are to you." She gently rap bandage around my wound and continue on. "You still try to save your sister and uncle; the thought of abandoning them never even cross your mind."

I shook my head, of course at the time it never cross my mind to let them die. The only thing that came across my mind was to survive the ordeal, after all I put so much effort to protect them there is no way I am going to waste my time thinking about letting them die after all the time I put in.

"How is uncle, is he okay?"

"He'll be fine after a while. He just need to get use to the fact that he don't have one arm; but he will get use to it soon enough."

"Brother, Auntie dinner is ready come down stair." May called out to us.

Me and auntie smile at each other and both when down without a word.

"So auntie what wound did you found on brother."

"He has a large wound on this arm and he even try to hide it from me at the beginning."

"Seriously September Froses take care of yourself, if you don't watch me tie you up in this house and never let you step a foot out of here." May spoke like a reprimanding mother chiding her child, I don't know how our big brother is like but I feel like this is the sort of thing that he would say.

"Well I like to see you try to do that," I spoke back.

"Watch me I will handcuff you with June to watch over you; then what are you going to do." Well fudge she got me there, I wouldn't drag a 10 years old child in to danger even if May handcuff herself to me I would never put her in danger.

"Yeah brother we will be together forever." June jump up and down for joy and hug me while giving a kiss on a cheek.

"I don't know if I want to be with you all the time little sis." I tease her and she pouted while seating on my lap.

I looked around the table and once again glad that I have the for site to prepared everything from food to medicine. I slowly eat the nutritious food that place Infront of me and smile What a comfortable end of the world this is, my previous self at this moment would be running away from being chase by the Spiritwalker. Now the only thing that is missing now is our big bother I really hope he is doing fine and will be getting here without any problem.

There was no breather to stopping in one place and have a nice meal like right now. I had to run and hide like a mouse being played and chase by a cat. Fearing for my life, I remember there was group of us civilian running for our life, one Spiritwalker would be enough to end group of our life. I shiver from the memory.

"Brother are you cold, let me give you some warmth."

"Thank you, but I am not cold. I just remember something very unpleasant."

"Oh you remember something." May ask in excitement.

"No not from this life. From my past live, when I was a woman."

"You were a woman in your past life?"

"Yes I was." That is the only way I can explain what I am right now. "I live thought this Apocalypse for about 20 years already. How do you think I knew what was going to happen and prepared everything."

"Wait if it your past life how….what…I don't understand."

"May dear don't try to hurt your brain even I don't know how to explain everything either. All I remember is my past life as a woman, I remember nothing of this life."

While talking there is a sound coming from the front door each of us jump up from the table and in to action. June grab a fork and point it to the front door with her hand shaking. I push her to the back and made sure that she is safe behind the sofa.

This family really adapt fast to the change of circumstances, I would be expecting everyone to scream and cry in the coroner of the room rather then stand with me and readying to fight.

The sound of the door is loud enough to called all the Spiritwalker in the area to the sound. First of it is to early for Spiritwalker to gain intelligent and start braking down door to search for people. Secondly it is way to early for there to be group of Deadrader to form already. The Deadrader is human eating human should not have started already. There is no way that humanity have fallen straight to the gutter in just 1 day of being in the end of the world. But still my stomach churn just from the thought.

I stood tall preparing to fight the thing that is trying to get in to our house, luckily I remodel the house or else it would be so easy for anything to brake through the door.

"Oh my god" I hear May called shout out.

"May, what wrong?" Aunty Liliy ask as May was closes to the window and she could see the outside.

"It's…It's pack of lions I think, it looked bigger then normal lion."

Everyone turn to looked at me, well the situation just had to get worst not only we have not get rid of the Spiritwalker now animal have even evolve after just a day. I don't remember having to fight animal before seeing as I never stay in one place long enough.

I looked around and listen very attentively everyone try not to make any sound so not to distracting me and I continue. "June."

"Yes brother what is it?"

"Did you mange to contact elder brother at all."

"Um, yes I did." She pull out the cell phone she has around her knack.

"Where was he when you talk to him?"

"Well he said he is 1 day way from London so he half way coming toward us before the fog roll in and cut off the connection. So I am not sure where about he is right now."

"That fine at less we know that he is somewhere. Now I know you won't like this." I pause, "I need to go out and kill the lion or the Spiritwalker around our house will all be attracted to the sound."

"No you can't you're still injured."

"I have to, it either me going out there or they will get in here. I prefer to chooses the alternative."
