Chapter 51: Already Dead (Christians POV)

I stared at the area that was in front of me, as I did my best to try to scan all of the surroundings, to see as to where it was that the girl might have gone, as I had to hope that she had not gone in to the middle of down town at this very moment in time. She surely was smart enough to not walk her self in to the heard of the dead.

I was tempted to ask the parents of the girl was ever any kinds of suicidal, but I was fairly certain that it would not be the case at all for one, as I knew that if some one even was in fact suicidal, no matter what, they would not want to go down in a way such as the fact as to be torn apart by the dead.

I felt sick, as I had heard some of a lot of people's last thoughts, and what they were feeling whilst they had been dying as well, and it kind of made me feel quite a bit sick, as well as the fact that it did in fact freak me out at the same time too, as to the fact that they had said 'lust for meat', and other thing such as that, as it was clear that it had already got in to their head.

I felt sick at the same time as well, as I was always the one that had to lay the finishing blow on who ever it was that got in to that kind of situation in the first place. I just had to hope that it was not the same case for this young girl that had ran off from her family, as I was not all too sure what it was that the girl had been thinking, even if she was in fact upset.

I sighed a bit to my self, as I did my best to try to shake off all of those thoughts all at the same time, as I got my focus back on to what was going on around me all at the exact same time as well, as I heard groaning from right behind me, which at first freaked me out, as I feared that it might be one of the dead that had got up close to us, and I had not been paying enough attention to notice that happen in the first place either.

I turned my head over to where I had heard the noise come from in the first place, as I saw that it was the wife, and the mother to the girl that had ran off on her own. I felt like I could not help but to feel bad for the poor lady, as I was fairly certain at this point, even if the man did in fact have the scar that signified that he was a part of the community that had attacked us not all too long ago.

The only problem was, I was not all too sure if the rest of the people in our own community would think that he was a good man, even with the scar on his eye how ever. I felt a bit bad for him, as I let out a bit of a soft sigh all at the same time too, as I did my best to try to shake off all of those thoughts all at once as well, as I knew that I should not have my focus on that at this very moment in time, as the man's daughter was the reason that we were here in the first place, rather than heading back home, or going to the place that I had told Ben we were going to.

I nodded a bit to my self, as I had my head dipped a bit low to the ground, so that it did not seem like I was nodding to the man's wife, which I was sure would not even matter any ways, as it did not seem like they were paying me any sort of attention at all, as of today, which was a bit strange to me none the less, as it was some thing that I was not used to happening to me.

I let out a bit of a soft sigh to my self once again, as I saw from the corner of my eye, that the man was doing his best to calm his wife down, though I knew that it was hard for the both of them. I did my best to try not to have my focus on all of that how ever, as I turned my head back to what it was that I had been looking at in front of me in the first place any ways.

I blinked my eyes a few times, as I looked at the foot prints that were ahead of me, in hopes that we could know as to where the girl had gone off to. Sadly, that was not the case at all, as I saw that the trail went dead not but 50 feet in front of me, as the dirt road that led all the way to the cabin seemed to go stiff, as soon as the girl had walked in to the concrete road.

I thought that maybe she might have stopped some where, or maybe she was not too far ahead of us, as it was a fairly open area in the city, but it was hard to mask a living person, with all of the dead that I was roaming all over the place in the streets, and near all of the buildings. I kept on trying for just a little bit longer, but in the end I eventually gave up, as I did not even see the dead heading some where, were a little girl might have gone.

I was a bit worried that the girl had not gone in to the city at all, just due to the fact that she knew there was a lot of the dead, but at the same time too, there was really no where else for her to go, as the dirt path led straight to the city, and she could have easily just walked back in to the woods, if she had been worried about going in there.

I felt a bit sick, as I too could not help but to start to get worried for the young girl my self, even though I knew that she was an idiot, not just for going out on her own, but also the fact that she had gone in to a big city, which was one of the worst ideas that you could possibly think of, as that was where most of the dead were even at in the first place any ways.

I let out a bit of a soft sigh to my self all at once, once again, as it was not the first time that I had done that in the last minute or so, as I then turned my head back over to the family, to notify that we had to start heading forward, as I saw in the horizon, that the sun was dipping it's head quite a bit low to the ground, and it was going to be dark at any moment in time at this point.

As I looked over to the family, I thankfully noticed for once, that Daniel, the husband, turned his head over to me, as it was clear that he noticed that I was looking right at them at this very moment in time. He nodded to me, as it was clear that he wanted me to give him the bad news. I nodded back to him at the same time too, as I knew that I could not sugar coat it, as I then began to speak to him.

"The girl went in to the city... It is very dangerous there... If you want my advice, I say you leave the wife, and the children back at the cabin... It is a late safer in the woods... If we find the girl, we can head back there and be safe there for the night..." I said to the man, though I had a lot of doubt that we would be able to find the girl at this point, especially after the fact that I could not track her down a concrete road none the less.

I looked at the man for just a few moments, as it seemed like he had a bit of a blank look on his face all at once, as I was a bit worried as to to that, due to the fact that he was the one that I was wanting to take with me, as I felt like the wife would be a lot better, and a lot safer with handling the kids in that cabin out in the woods, and making sure that they did not run off in search of their sister.

The man did not seem to have much of a reaction to what it was that I had said at all how ever, which did in fact have me quite a bit worried, as I wondered just how much these people wanted to see their daughter again in the first place, as I tilted my head at them, a bit lost as to what it was that was going on with them in the very first place any ways.

The wife had her eyes on the kid thankfully enough for me, as it seemed like she had listened to at least a little bit of what it was that I had said, but Daniel did not have his eyes on me at all, as I saw that he had his eyes a bit low to the ground, which had me a bit worried, as I knew that he, out of all of them needed to stay strong for them.

I sighed a bit to my self, as I was tempted to dip my head down low to the ground, but I knew at the same time too, that I needed to be the one that had to lead all of them, even if they were not really looking at me as the leader, I had not make a point to them that I was in fact the leader, and I knew damn well what it was that I was doing in the first place any ways.

Did I really know what it was that I was doing though? I was not all too sure, as I had not a clue as to where the girl could have gone, and I also knew that we were about to be heading in to a bunch of chaos as well none the less, which was not a good start for us at all, I knew for a fact, as there were so many directions that the girl could have gone off to.

I shivered at all of those thoughts, as I did my best to try to get my focus off of all of that right now, as I knew that I had to make sure that the wife and the kids got them selves to a safe place before I got my focus on the place that we were about to be heading over to at this very moment in time, which was of course, right over to the city full of the dead, as I gulped at those thoughts, as I did my best not to focus on all of that just yet.

I knew that we had to get the kids safe before that, which I was not all too sure if they had even heard what I had said in the first place, as I really did not feel like all that much of a leader at this very moment in time, if I was not going to lie to my self. I wanted to throw some thing out of anger, but I knew that I had to control my temper right now, as I had to stay strong for every one.

I had my head low to the ground for just a little bit longer, as I was doing my best to try to shake off all of the thoughts that were racing through my mind at this very moment in time. Luckily I had just a little bit of help with that, as I suddenly saw Daniel too lift his own head off of the ground, as I looked over at him.

I was glad to see him at least have some sort of recognition that I had in fact just spoken to him, as it kind of felt like at first, that my words were flying through the air like blanks. Daniel looked at me for just a few seconds, as I expected him to respond to me, as after all, I felt like he should be the man of the family, but that did not seem to be the case at all, as it stayed dead silent for just a little while longer.

I was a bit lost, as I let out quite a loud sigh all at the exact same time too. I felt like, if this family did not want to save their own daughter this much, that I should not be all too worried about it either, as I simply had only taken Ben out here for our last time of being together, before we split our separate ways, and we went on our own, now that he was completely done with all of his training at this point.

It would be nice to have new people in the community, but if they were going to be this way, and they were not even going to be a help to them selves, than they would serve no sort of purpose in our dying community that needed new people to bring some sort of new life to the community, as it was dying out at quite an alarming rate it this very moment in time none the less.

I shook off all of those thoughts how ever, as I saw Daniel begin to move once again, as I was tempted to grab my gun, but it was clear after a few seconds of time, that he was not trying to attack me, or do any thing else that might be any sort of suspicious for that matter at all either, as I let out a soft sigh of relief all of the sudden.

Daniel instead had simply turned his head over to his wife, as I saw him all of the sudden nod to her, to much of my surprise at the exact same time too, as I tilted my head a little bit, wanting to hear what it was that he had to say to his wife in the first place any ways, as I kept my eyes on him, and I then began to listen as to all that he had to say, as he then began to speak to his wife after all little while longer.

"He's right... It won't be safe for you and the kids in the city..." He said to his wife, as I saw that his wife had quite a look of some fear in her face. I was not all too sure as to why that might be the case in the first place, as I was sure that it might have some thing to do with the fact that she just did not want to leave her husband behind, or some thing of those sorts. Either way, I thought it was smart as to what it was that he had said to her, even if it was short and sweet, as I was glad that I had got my point across to the man at the exact same time too. I did not grin, though I felt a bit glad for all of this, as I kept a blank look on my face through out all of this. Daniel seemed to not be done speaking at that point how ever, much to my surprise at the exact same time too, as he then began to continue with where it was that he had let off, as I then listened to what it was that he had to say back to his wife once again. "You go take them to the cabin, it is much safer there... We will be back with Linda later tonight hun..."

I looked at him, as I winced a bit at what it was that he had said at the exact same time as well, at the last part of it, as I used to call my wife hun as well, as it kind of hurt me to think back on all of that. I knew that I did not have a wife any more how ever, as I knew that she was long deciezed at this point in the world, and that I had to get over it at some point, as I was sure that I was not the only person that had lost some one.

I knew that Bens sister Angela had to watch her parents get torn apart in front of her own eyes, whilst holding her baby brother in her arms, as that was surely a lot worse than some of the shit that I had seen whilst I had been out side of the walls. I was not all too sure as to what it was that was even going on with me at this very moment in time, and why I was being such a pussy right now.

I let out a bit of a soft sigh to my self all at once, at the exact same time too, as I did my best to get my focus off of all of that, and I got my eyes on all that was going on at this very moment in time, right in front of my eyes, as I saw that Daniels wife, Anne, then all of the sudden nodded to him, to let him know that she had heard what it was that he had said.

I expected there to be some sort of rebuttal at the exact same time too, such as there always seemed to be when ever there was a couple that got in to any sort of conversation with one another, but I saw that she seemed to be content with what it was that he had said to her to my surprise, as I saw her all of the sudden turn her head over to his kids.

I blinked a few times, as I did my best to try to hide the fact that I was in fact quite a bit shocked in the first place, as I then nodded a bit to my self, to try to act like this was a normal thing to be going on, even though I knew that it was not normal at all. It might be normal for them how ever, as I was sure that they had been through a lot as of late, and I was sure that they really did not feel like they had any sort of time to be arguing.

I blinked a few times, as frankly I was glad for it as well, as I really did not want to have to step in a heated argument between a couple, as that was one of my least favorite things to do, as I tended to avoid it, or just walk away from it when they got in to one in the first place. I had done plenty of that with my wife, and it had gotten us no where in the relationship, as it had instead just led to a whole lot of pain.

I shook my head, as I shook away all of those thoughts that were even going through my head at this very moment in time, as I got my focus once again, back on what was going on, as I knew what it was that Daniel had just said, and I knew that we needed to go ahead and get all of this started before it was far too late in the day for us, as I could see the sun was dipping, and we might have no more than an hour at this point in time.

As I was about to go and look over to Daniel, to make sure that her was okay with all of this, I then suddenly heard a little bit of noise back over to where the wife was at, as I was kind of a little bit annoyed by it, but I turned my head over there, to see just what was going on in the first place, as I knew that we were wasting a large amount of much needed precious time, if we really wanted to find the girl.

I squinted my eyes at all of the kids, and the wife all at once, though I knew that they were paying no sort of attention to me, such as it had seemed like a lot of people were not doing most of the day, besides Ben of course, as he was used to paying attention to me, as he at the very least knew that I was the leader in all of this, unlike the rest of this family as it seemed to be at this point.

I rolled my eyes a little bit, as I shook off all of those thoughts at the exact same time too, as I then realized that one of the kids was speaking, and to my surprise it was the teenage boy, who did not seem to be much of a speaker, such as his youngest sister seemed to be, as at times it did not seem like she wanted to shut up, which I felt could lead to a lot of problems for the family if they were to be out side, out in the wild lands of this crazy world.

I blinked my eyes just a few times, as I still could not help but to be a little bit surprised by it, but I did my best to try not to get my self all too much focused on it, as I realized that the kid was in fact speaking, though it did not seem like he was speaking to me at all, as he had his eyes on his father and his mother, as I could tell that he did not seem to be all too happy.

I was not all too sure as to why he was not happy, as I felt like it had some thing to do with his sister, and the fact that we had not found her yet. But at the exact same time as well, I felt like a lot of that was the fault of the entire family, as they did not seem to actually want to find their daughter, as they had slowed them selves down a lot during the day, as well as the fact that they had spoken a lot, getting me very distracted a lot of the times.

I let out quite a bit of a sigh, as I did my best to try to not get too upset about all of this, as I knew that it would not be a good look for us, if they did in fact want to join our community after the fact that we found their daughter. I shook off all of those thoughts all at once as well, as I remembered that Edwin was in fact speaking at this very moment in time, as I then began to listen as to what it was that the kid even had to say in the first place as well, none the less.

"Dad... Why can't I go with you? You keep telling me that I need to teach my self to grow up at some point, but you never get me the chance to learn on stuff such as this..." He said, as I saw that his eyes were right on his father, though I could see at the exact same time too, that he was looking at his mother from the corner of his eyes at the exact same time too.

I was not too sure if that were due to the fact that he expected his mother to defend him or not, as it did not seem like she was all too happy with what it was that her son had said in the first place, as I saw that she had her eyes squinted at her son. I kind of felt bad for the kid, as I was sure that the kid was the same age as Ben, and Ben knew what the world was like out here, though I could tell that they were overly protective of their son, which might have a lot to do with the reason that he did not seem to want to speak up all that much.

I could not help but to feel a little bit bad for the poor kid, as I knew that if I had a son that was around his age, than I for sure would be teaching the kid as to what the world was like now a days. I knew that the kid had been through a lot of shit in the other community, so I was not sure what they were trying to hide him from, as he pretty much had the worst of the worst so far.

I let out a bit of a soft sigh all at the exact same time too how ever, as I knew that I was not the father either, and if the father did not want their kid to know about what the world was really like, than I should not step in for the poor kid, though I still could not help but to feel a little bit bad for the kid at the exact same time as well, as I felt like he had quite a fair point.

It did not seem like that good of a point to Daniel at all how ever, as I saw that he had his eyes squinted at his son, as it was clear that he was not all too happy with what it was that Edwin had just said to him in the first place. I tilted my head just a little bit, as I kind of was a little bit lost as to what was going on at this very moment in time at the exact same time as well none the less.

I looked over at Daniel, as I saw that he all of the sudden had shook his head at his son, almost as if he felt like his son was being a bit of an idiot, though I felt like his son had made a bit of a fair point. I stared at Daniel for a little bit more time, as Daniel finally all of the sudden began to speak back up to his son, as I was glad for that to happen as well, as I then began to listen in quite a bit of some interest as to what it was that he had to say back to him in the first place any ways.

"I want you to learn son, but this is not the best scenario to be learning all of this. We do not have an extra gun, and your mother needs it... Plus we do not need too many bodies moving around in such a small area like that..." He said back over to Edwin, as I blinked my eyes a few times at the exact same time as well, as I also felt like he had quite a fair point on what it was that he had said to in the first place, at the exact same time as well, as I nodded to Daniel all at once, though I knew that he was paying me no sort of attention at all sadly, as I let out a bit of a soft sigh to my self once again. I looked over to Edwin, as I could tell that the kid also knew that his father did in fact have a bit of a fair point that he had just proven, as he dipped his head a little bit low to the ground. He stared down at the ground for quite a bit of some time all at once as well none the less, as I then all of the sudden saw Daniel move from the corner of my eye. I once again was about ready to draw my gun, but once I saw that he was just going over to his son, I then began to relax my self once again, as I reached my hand away from the spot on my belt where my gun was holstered down at. I blinked a few times, as I watched what was going on at this very moment in time, all at the exact same time too, as I then saw Daniel put his hand on his son's shoulder, to try to calm him down a little bit, which did in fact seem to do a fair bit of a good job, as I wish that I had known to do such a thing on Ben when we had always been in a bit of a stressful situation, so that I would be able to calm him down. I shook off all of those thoughts though, how ever, as I saw Daniel all of the sudden nod to his son, to try to get the attention of his son on him. Edwin blinked a few times, but he lifted his head back up to his father, as he then nodded right back over to him. Daniel seemed to now feel it a bit safe to speak now, as he did in fact do as such a thing. "You take care of your mother and your little sis... We will be back later... They need you..."

I looked at Daniel as I nodded to him once again, even though I knew that he was not paying me any sort of attention at all at this very moment in time, as he should not be, as I knew that he should have his eyes on his son, who I could tell his son seemed to almost want to be having a bit of a panic attack, as I side the wide open look in his eyes, and his heavy breathing too.

It was smart what Daniel had said to him, as I agreed with every word that he had said. I was sure that Edwin did not believe the part where his father had said that they needed him, but I knew that it was true, as I was not so sure as to what Anne would be thinking if she knew that basically her entire family was out in a crowded city full of the dead, and she was not all too sure if they would come back.

I knew that the little girl would be freaked out for sure, as to the fact that both of her siblings were out missing, and so was her father. I was worried that the girl might run off in search of us, which I was always worried that a little kid would do not to mention that, as I knew that she was afraid that she was going to lose them.

I let out a bit of a soft sigh to my self once again, as I did my best to try to shake off all of those thoughts, as I looked over at Edwin for just a little while longer, as I then all of the sudden saw him lift his head up to his father, as he kept a straight look on his face at the exact same time too all at once, as he then nodded right back over to his father, to let him know that he had heard what it was that his father had said to him in the first place.

I breathed in quite a heavy sigh of relief all at the same to too, though it was not a loud one, as I felt like for some odd reason or another, that would get a lot of attention on me all of the sudden, which I really did not want at this very moment in time. I was really simply only glad that the kid had come to a bit of an agreement with his father, as I saw the son then turned his head over to his mother, as he all of the sudden nodded over to her at the exact same time as well.

It seemed like every one was now in a bit of an agreement with all of the circumstances that were going on at this very moment in time. I blinked a few times, as I was tempted to say some thing about all of it, but I was not so sure as to what it was that I should add on in the first place, so I figured that it might just be best for me to keep my mouth shut for once.

I looked at the kid and his mother Anne at the exact same time too, as I saw that they were walking back down the dirt path that led to the big concrete road that was in front of us at this very moment in time. I nodded a bit to my self all at once, as it now felt like things were safe at this point, and things were going to be okay, though I knew damn well that was not true.

It was not true for the young girl at least, as I had hoped that one of them would have said at this point that she was going to be okay, and that she knew how to handle her self out there, but that was not the case at all sadly, as I was starting to get more and more worried for her. I knew that she would not have as much of a clue in the first place, as she was a 10 year old girl after all, so I should probably not have thought any thing different.

It seemed like not many people in this family knew all too much about the world out side, besides perhaps the husband just a little bit. I nodded just a slight bit to my self all at once none the less, as I watched them go down the dirt path that was in the woods behind us, as I still could not help but to think that one of the dead might jump out and attack them at any moment, but I knew that it was rarely the case out in the woods, and they would be safe once they got to the cabin which was about a mile down the road.

I shook off all of those thoughts all at once as well how ever, as I knew that I should be more worried for our selves than I should be more worried for them any ways, as I then turned my head on the opposite side of me, as I saw that there was a big city ahead of us, that was once called, Asheville, North Carolina... That was the place that we were about to be going in to, and I was fairly certain that it was going to be very hard to avoid the dead.

I let out quite a bit of a sigh to my self all at once as well, as I then turned my head over to Daniel and Ben all at the same time too, to make sure that they were ready to go on ahead. Daniel did not seem to be paying all that much attention to me, which still did kind of annoy me, as I felt like I should bring it up that I was the one that needed to be leading them right now.

I shook off all of those thoughts all at once how ever, as I got my focus off of the man, and I turned my head over to Ben, as I saw him nod to me, to let me know that he was well aware of what it was that we were about to have to do in the first place. I felt a bit safe now that I had seen Ben nod to me, as I was now ready to go on ahead my self.

I knew that I had to make sure that Daniel was ready how ever, as I let out a quite loud cough all at the exact same time too, to try to get his attention. It did a good job as well, as I saw that he had turned his head over to me, though he had quite a bit of a blank look on his face, as if he did not have much of a clue as to what was going on right now, and what it was that we were about to do, and get our selves in to in this first place either.

I rolled my eyes at him, as it all of the sudden seemed to come back to him all at once at the exact same time as well, as I saw him turn his head over to me, and he nodded back to me as well, to let me know that it was safe for us to go on ahead and move forward, in to a quite of a bit of a chaotic city that was right in front of us none the less. I looked at it for just a few moments, and I gulped, as it was a bit of a rough sight to look at, as I had remembered that I had lived out side of this city at one point in my life as well.

I was tempted to dip my head to the ground, as I could feel my thoughts going back to all of that, and the life that I had once lived quite a long time ago none the less. I shook off those thoughts how ever, as I then all of the sudden nodded to my self once again, and I got my focus back on to the path that was ahead of us at the exact same time as well, though it was quite a bit of a scary path down there.

I did not want to think on it all too much, as I kind of wished that we had brought some extra stuff with us, as I had not expected us to get in to that, but it was what it was at this point now, as I then began to walk down the rest of the dirt path, right in to the hard concrete road that was right in front of us. I gave one last look at the city, as I knew that we were about to go in to a shit hole at the exact same time too.

We were hiding at the back side of an ally way, as I could hear the stomps of the dead walking past us at the exact same time as well, as I shivered every single time it seemed like one was going to get close to us. They had got close quite a few times, but luckily I had told Daniel before hand, not to use his gun, even if he got tempted to do so, as that would only get all of the dead on us, and it would get all of us killed.

We had to use daggers and knives to keep us alive, any time we tried to get past the dead. I had just about given up at this point as well, none the less, as I felt like in the last 20 to 30 minutes, I had to kill more dead that I had to kill in my entire life. Daniel was awful at the fact that he had silent foot steps, as it felt like all I could do at this point was to squint my eyes at him.

I could not simply get him to change his entire way he walked in one day, so I was going to have to deal with it at this point. I knew that Ben had noticed it, as I could tell that he now understand as to why I got upset when he did not use silent foot steps, as he had nearly got bit a few times already up to this point, and things seemed to only be getting worse and worse for us, as it was starting to get dark very fast.

I was tempted to give up on all of this, and tell the man that we should go in to the chapel building, that I had been in a few times when I had been a lot younger, but I knew that Daniel was not going to give up tonight, until he had found his daughter. I had kind of given up at this point my self, as we had not a clue as to where it was that the girl could have gone, as for all we know she could have gone down the road that led out of the city.

We were following a blank trail at this point, and it was starting to piss me off quite a bit, even if the man was in fact a bit worried for his daughter. I was fairly certain at this point, that there was no way that we were going to find her, and at this point, we were only going to get our selves killed if we stayed in this city while it was dark in the night.

For one thing, the dead were a lot stronger, faster, and seemed to even be a bit smarter during the night time, as I had been worried that they would try to open doors at several points in time. It was even worse as to the fact that we were in such a big city right now, as I was fairly certain that if we stayed here for any longer, than we would get torn apart, probably like his daughter had already been, if she in fact had gone in to the city.

I sighed just a bit to my self, as I shook my head at the exact same time as well, as I felt like I should at least give it a bit of a chance none the less, and try to talk some sense in to the man, as I turned my head over to him, seeing that he was still staring down the ally way, as if he expected his daughter to all of the sudden run over to him, and fall in to his arms.

I kind of felt bad for making a bit of a joke out of it at the same time too, as that was kind of the way that I was thinking about it right now, as I knew that it was nothing to be joking about, as I knew that it was his daughter, and I would be the same way if I had a child that was in danger, and it the middle of a big city full of the dead, which I still felt like she might not be.

I shook off those thoughts all at once how ever, as I got my focus on what it was that we were doing at this very moment in time, as I saw that Daniel was still staring with quite a worried look on his face. I was about to give up at this point, but I knew that he would not do the same, and I did not want to leave the man alone out in the city in the middle of the night.

I then came up with a bit of a good idea that might make him come to a bit of a reality that we were not going to find his daughter, but at the same time too, also make sure that we were safe for the night, and that we did not have to worry about getting attacked by the dead. I looked over at the church that was beside us for just a little while longer, and I then nodded to my self at the exact same time too.

I stared at Daniel right in to his eyes, as for the first time it felt like he had done today, he seemed to notice me do so, and he turned his head over to me, a little bit lost. I knew that the man was a fair bit of a smart man how ever, as he then all of the sudden nodded to me, as he realized that I was about to speak to him at the exact same time as well.

I felt a lot more safe, now that I knew that he was paying attention to me, as I then all of the sudden nodded right back over to him, grateful that for once, as it had not felt like it had happened at all today, the man had his eyes on me, as he was ready to listen on what it was that I had to say to him. I blinked a few times to clear off all of those thoughts all at once how ever, as I then did in fact begin to speak up to the man.

"I think we should head in side of that church... It is dangerous to go out with the dead out side during the night... We will not be able to find her, or look for her, and it will only put us in danger..." I said to the man, as I hoped that he was at least paying some sort of attention to me, and that he was not going to put it out of the window all at the exact same time as well, right away.

I suppose I could not blame him of he did in fact, as I knew that it was his daughter that was in trouble, and he would more than likely want to keep looking for her, until 'midnight', such as his wife had said earlier. I was sure that she had only said it due to the fact that it was a natural instinct for her to have when she knew that her daughter was in a lot of trouble none the less.

I just had to hope that Daniel did not think the same way as his wife did. I had already made up my mind for me and Ben, as I looked over at Ben from the corner of my eye, to see that he nodded to me, as it was clear that he did in fact agree with what it was that I had said in the first place, as I knew that he knew first hand, how bad the dead were in the night.

I was glad that I got that from Ben as well, as I felt like I was kind of being a bit of an ass hole to the man, as I was sure that he might be a bit upset due to the fact that it did not seem like I was taking any of this all that seriously. It was just the opposite of that how ever, as I was in fact taking this very seriously, as I did not want us to risk our own lives over the girl right at this very moment in time.

I blinked a few times all at once as well, none the less, as to my surprise, I then all of the sudden saw Daniel turn his head over to me, as he finally seemed to get his eyes off of the road that was in front of us. I was glad for it as well, as I saw that Daniel just locked his eyes with mine. I was used to that kind of stuff how ever, so it really did not bother me all too much when I noticed the man do it.

I held my ground, as I wanted him to know that I was being serious with what it was that I had just said to him. Daniel looked at me for just a little bit more time at the same time too, as to my surprise, I then all of the sudden saw the man nod back over to me, as I saw a bit of a look of loss in his face, as it was clear that he had now given up hope in finding his daughter.

I kind of felt a bit bad for the man, as that was not what I had meant to do at all if I was not going to lie, but at the same time too, I also felt quite a bit tired, and I just wanted to go in to a safe room in side of that church, recalling all of the old memories that I had once had of being in that place, and then just lay my head down, and get a bit of some rest for the night none the less.

I let out a bit of a soft sigh to my self at the exact same time as well, as I knew that it was kind of bad, as to the fact that I was so willing to give up on the man's daughter, but I was fairly certain at this point, that the girl had not gone in to the city, and that we were wasting our time looking for her. No matter what, as bad as it might sound for me to say, I had to admit as to the fact that she was a lost cause at this point.

I shook off all of those thoughts all at once how ever, as I got my focus back on to what it was that was going on at this very moment in time, as I heard Daniel begin to speak to me finally. I was not all too sure as to what it was that I had been looking at in the first place, but as soon as I had heard the man speak, I looked back over to him, to listen as to what it was that he had to say.

"You are right... My daughter is smart... She knows how bad it is at night..." He said back over to me, as I saw him dip his head a bit low to the ground at the exact same time too. I felt a lot better now that he had said that, as I let out a bit of a soft sigh of relief all at once, as I was glad that he had at least agreed as to the fact that we should not be out at night. I nodded to Daniel in a bit of some agreement, as I then noticed that he had his eyes back down the ally way. I titles my head at him, a bit lost as to what it was that he was doing, as I then squinted my eyes at him. Daniel began to speak once again, right back over to me, even though he did not have his eyes on me at all. I was not all too much worried about it, as I knew that he had a lot going through his head at this very moment in time, as I shook off all of those thoughts, and I began to listen as to what it was that he had to say. "If she's out there... Than she's already dead..."
