To The Underground

Naruto was dressed up in a long black cloak that covered her whole body. She glared at the four-eyes clone of herself, who was also dressed in a black cloak and had a smug look spread out onto her face.

"How the hell am I gonna fight in this!" She exclaimed. "You want me to pull this long ass thing over their head and suffocate them! I'll trip before I even get close." She screamed while stomping in a hissy fit.

"Awww, don't be like that. Just imagine it like training. Besides, it would be much worse if they knew our actual identity. After all, these places are known for brutality, and I wouldn't want poor little Naruto to end up in the hospital until you become a Genin." Naruto could only grumble at her clone's comeback.

"So what's the plan again," Naruto asked her clone as she strapped on the old steel-toed boots she stole from the farmer who thought it would be a good idea to attempt putting cow-dung near her property. He awoke the next day to find his animals escaped, pins all over the floor and all his shoes gone, and glitter traps every other corner. Naruto didn't eat any ramen that month because of the cost but watching him suffer was worth it. So maybe she has a bit of a sadistic streak, who cares!

"Well, you go on in and enter the Genin tournament. Because either go big or go home, ya know! After that, I'll enter and start betting on you in the voting polls, because if you lose we have much worse problems than the money you lost." The clone chuckled to herself. Naruto felt her eye twitch, it was almost like they enjoyed watching her get hurt. "Honestly, I would try and learn medical ninjutsu for us, but your too much of a dumbass, and our chakra reserves are the size of an ocean, especially with cultivation. We need to be much higher if we ever even hope to achieve medium proficiency of control. Although, if it makes you feel better, we can always use the trump card I recently came up with." Her clone claimed while pushing up her glasses.

"And what would that be," Naruto asked while sitting leaning towards her clone.

"Well, only we can do it since only we have remotely enough chakra to make this work. Currently, people can strengthen themselves by pumping chakra through their limbs. Imagine it like a stream of water pumping through their chakra veins. But, since we have significantly more chakra and much stronger tenketsu and chakra veins, we could push waves of chakra through our limbs instead of merely a stream. This mode will significantly increase our strength, speed, and endurance. But since our very poor control of chakra comes into play it will also be very painful and can tear the muscles and crack bones due to pressure. Luckily, we have natural chakra, which has great healing properties, and our already giant healing potential it shouldn't be hard to heal from, but I would still avoid using this because we haven't tested it yet and the side effects could be tremendous." Her clone explained. Naruto couldn't help but be in awe at the clones theory, this was genius!

"Alright, let's get going, we only have an hour and you still need to register." The clone ran out of the door, Naruto following closely behind them.

They soon arrived at what looked to be a run-down bar in one of the more abandoned parts of the village. The exterior was a nice maroon color that had been weathered down. There was a line of people that were lined up there and were steadily entering. Naruto and her clone quickly slipped into different parts of the line, so it didn't look like they were together.

Naruto had finally entered and the inside was so much different than the outside. It was very luxurious and had different paintings of all kinds of battles on the walls. Like a drawing of Madara Uchiha on the Nine-Tailed Fox fighting the Shodaime at the valley of the end. Or a photo of the Fourth Hokage standing across from a thousand Kumogakure shinobi. Naruto couldn't help but slightly gasp at them, the details were so well done, it was almost as if the artist was there in person and took the moment straight out and onto a paper.

Naruto finally made it to the front of the line, where a middle-aged man sat next to a staircase, leading to what she could only guess was the fight club itself. He had midnight black hair that framed his face and went down his back, he was shirtless and his abdomen was littered with scars. He had a cigar in his mouth and was lazily blowing smoke out of it. His eyes were sharp like hawks and bright green eyes that looked like they could kill you with a look. He was very handsome, and even though Naruto could see he looked relaxed, she couldn't shake the feeling that he could spring up and easily kill everyone here.

His eyes lazily went over her and she could feel a chill go down her back like she had been laid out naked in front of him and couldn't keep anything a secret.

"Participating or spectating." His lazy voice drawled out. It was a deep baritone that sent chills down her spine.

"P-Participating." She couldn't help but stutter out.

"I'm guessing you're here for the Genin tournament then." He voiced out as he took out a checklist that was lying next to him. "I don't care about your name, age, background, or any of that shit. I just need something to identify you by." He stated. It surprised Naruto, she honestly came in here expecting to lie about a lot of things.

"Raymen." She finally answered. The man only nodded and didn't show any reaction to this.

"Go wait in the waiting room near the arena. Can't miss it, and if you somehow could, then your dumbass shouldn't be here." He said while gesturing to a staircase behind him.

Naruto walked down the stairway quickly. The size was humungous, she couldn't even see the bottom. Eventually, she could see a light at the bottom and quickly ran towards it.

She appeared in what she could only describe as a new world. It was a humungous cavern filled with all kinds of things and lit by crystals on the ceilings that seemed to glow. The streets were lined with all kinds of things, from weapons to armor, to jutsu scrolls and foods she never even knew could be real. She could've sworn she just saw ramen with smashed tomatoes and some kind of meat-shaped ball on top. 'How odd' she couldn't help but muse to herself. There were also bars and other adult activities spots that were here and there, but that was to be expected.

But the grandest sight of all down here, a humungous stone colosseum that towered over everything, now she could tell why the man said it was hard to miss. It had to be at least half a mile wide! Although that was to expected, with Jonin fighting in there she could imagine why they would have such a large battlefield. And since this was the main attraction of the underground she could imagine why it would be so grand.

While Naruto was admiring the place, she suddenly felt a tap on her shoulder. She spun around to see a small man. He had wild salt and pepper hair and a pair of glasses that made seeing his eyes impossible. He was around four feet tall. Which was amazingly short, compared to Naruto's five feet, which is one of the tallest in her academy grade after cultivating. She wondered how a man could be so short.

"Ah, don't worry my height isn't worth mentioning, I know I am short." He waved it off with a chuckle. "But I've never seen you around these parts, and I know almost everyone, trust me, kid. I'm quite famous myself. Most people 'round these parts call me Jobber." The man explained.

"You're probably wonderin' what a place like this is doin' down 'ere. And I wouldn't blame ya. Truth is, this place was built by the first 'n second Hokages. After all, 'twas supposed to be the village hidden in the leaves. And those crystals up there that glow, this was the perfect hiding place, even had natural lighting. Rumor has it that those crystals glow because they have so much chakra in them it manifests. So a lot of people buy them as good luck charms and other things, some people even use them as wedding rings if they're rich enough. Of course, these crystals are very expensive. But they decided against it, but not they had a huge cavern and nothing to do, so they created this. One of the largest income to the hidden leaf. This places gambling and other services easily provide tons of missions for patrol and other things, along with at least twenty percent of the village's income from taxes." Naruto was amazed, it really was a new world down here. She was also quite interested in the chakra crystals, but she was already broke enough.

"Now, I gotta lot of useful info, and since your new, I'll give ya a piece for free. After all, that is why most people call me Jobber. I'm guessin' your participatin' in the Genin tournament, it's why most people are here anyway, or gambling. There's a guy, calls himself Rhino, he came in about a year ago and has steadily made a name for himself in the Genin bracket. I would watch out for him. Fights like a real beast, he's a big guy and some people are claiming his skins hard as steel. Oh and I should probably warn you, ranks down here don't work the same as up there. Just because they're in Genin doesn't make 'em weak. If you need any more info, meet me at Chakra Parlor, it's where I spend most of my time. But remember, the next piece will cost ya." The man said and waved as he walked off. Naruto couldn't help but be a bit scared. Maybe this was gonna be a lot harder than she originally thought.

She shook off the negative thoughts before steeling herself. This was her decision, and she wouldn't back down, after all, that was against her ninja way.
