I stood there for a few moments, as I was not sure what to do, or what to say back to every one that was in front of me in the big crowd. I just stood there, was a bit of a look of fear in my eyes, as I was not sure what to say back to the person that had just interrupted me before I was about to speak up to every one.
It was not what I was expecting, and now I lost all concentration on what I was going to say, as now I just saw a whole lot of people staring at me at the moment. I also saw that a lot of them were looking around for some odd reason or another, as if they had lost their train of thought, and their attention on me, which I was okay with at the current moment any ways.
I turned my head over to John, who I could see from very far away, as I hoped to get some thing from him, but he did not have his eyes on me either. At first I thought I was okay with no one looking at me, but now it was only getting me even more nervous than before, as all of my ideas had just about gone away from my brain.
I blinked a few times, as I was lost on what was even going on in the first place, why people should even be looking at me to speak to them in the first place. I looked around my surroundings, as I saw Travis was behind me with a bit of an annoyed look in his eyes, as I could tell that he was quite a bit upset with all that was going down right now.
I shook my head, as I saw that I was on a big stage, as it hit me what was going on any ways, and why it was that Travis was upset for in the first place. I stood there for a little while, as I shivered a little bit, as I then locked my eyes back on to the crowd that was ahead of me in the first place.
At this point, not a single person was looking at me any more, which I was still a bit lost as to why that might be so in the first place. I stared ahead for a little while longer, as I then blinked a few times as well, as it came back to me all at once, all that had happened just a moment before now.
Some one had spoken up to me, as it sounded almost as if they were angry at me for some odd reason or another as well, as if I had done some thing to try to hurt them, which I had not a clue as to what that might be, or even who it was that had spoken in the first place for that matter.
I looked at where all of the eyes were going to, as I saw that most of the people were just as confused as I, as to who it was that had spoken in the first place. He had spoken a few short and loud words, and no one could tell as to where the voice had even come from in the first place.
I stood there, and continued to look in to the crowd, as to who it might have been that had said that they had known me. I felt like I recognized the voice from a long time ago, but at the same time as well, I felt as if I could not be too sure if it was actually some one that I knew either.
I had already counted out the fact that the person that had spoken in the first place, could have been a man of any sort of importance, as if they were, than the eyes would be locked on them right away, I would have recognized the voice a lot more clear, as well as the fact that they would have been at the big table with the rest of the big guys in the legion.
I was about to give up at this point, as I did not see who it was that might have spoken up a few moments ago, as there was no one in the crowd, that was up high, making it well aware that they were the one that had spoken up, and interrupted me just before I had the chance to speak, which I was still upset about as well, as I actually had a plan of what to say, but now it was back to ground 0 I suppose.
I let out a bit of a loud sigh, which I knew that no one could hear, as the crowd was a bit too far away, and there were a lot of confused voices speaking in the crowd as well. It gave me a little bit of a reminder too, that I would have to speak up much louder than I was used to having to do.
I dipped my head a bit low, as it seemed to be getting a bit chaotic now, as this was not what I had expected at all. I had not expected it to be this bad, in the first place, and when I had been in the tent, they had also managed to calm me down a bit, but this was worse than even I had imagined.
Luckily how ever, after the moments of silence on the stage at least, I heard foot steps come from behind me, as I turned my head to see that it was Travis, as he did not have a happy look on his face at all either. He walked up to the podium in front of me, not really shoving me out of the way, as he stepped up and began to yell to every one.
"Yes! I am sure you guys have seen each other before... He spoke to a lot of you, and not just that, but many of you are from the same city... We do not need to be worried about all of that how ever... He is just here to step up and speak, to let you all know who he is..." Travis said to every one, as I could tell that he had a bit of an annoyed look on his face.
I did not blame him for it either, as it kind of pissed me off a bit too, as it had gotten me off the subject of what it was that I was about to say, which I was all so used to at this point in my life. I stood there for a bit longer, as I saw a few people give up looking in the crowd, as they had their eyes back up front, as I saw a lot of them nod at the same time too.
I still saw that there were a lot of people that seemed to have paid Travis no sort of attention how ever, as it was clear that they were still looking for the guy that had stepped up to speak in front of all of the people. I shivered a little bit, as I was trying to think of what it was that I was even going to say in the first place, once again.
As I stood in that same place, at the front of the stage, for a little while longer, I saw Travis turn his head over to me, as he rolled his eyes, as it looked as if he were giving up on all of the people. I began to draw a bit of a false sense of hope, that he might cancel this, as no one was paying us any sort of attention.
I also knew that was not going to happen how ever, as I knew that he did not have all of the time in the world, as well as the fact that John had been planning this for several weeks before hand as well, and it would take a couple more to get this many people out here once again, as I was sure that a lot of people had decided to just stay in their little tents.
Travis nodded to me as well, as he began to move away from the podium, so that I could step up and speak to all of the people in the crowd. I nodded back to him, as I gulped a bit, at the thought of what it was that I was about to have to do too.
As I walked up in front of the podium how ever, I then began to get a little bit less nervous, as it felt like some sort of power, and weird energy was starting to take over me a bit, which made me feel a lot more calm and smooth, as I nodded to my self at the same time as well, and I blinked at the crowd that was in front of me too.
I saw that many of them still did not have their eyes on me, but for the most part a lot of them did, and once the others realized that I had finally stepped up to speak, than I was sure that they would get their eyes, and their mind off of that guy right away.
I hesitated a little bit, not because I was scared at all, but more as to the fact that I was not all too sure as to what it was that I was even going to say in the first place. I saw that people were starting to get a bit frustrated in the crowd as well, which I really could not blame them for, as they had been there for hours, while nothing had got done.
I looked down a little bit, as I did my best to remember as to what it was that I was about to say to the crowd, when I had been in the tent. I then lifted my head up a bit high, as I was now ready to speak, as I opened my mouth to do so in fact as well.
That was when, once again, for the 2nd time now, I heard the voice of the same man that had stepped up to speak, and interrupt me before, do the exact same time once again. It was really starting to irritate me too, as it felt like I was never going to have the chance to say what it was that I was going to say.
I knew how quickly things faded out of my memory, and the guy who was speaking was starting to annoy me. I saw the entire crowd turn their heads right back over to the person that was speaking, as it was a lot more clear this time, as to where he was at, as I listened to what it was that he had to say to me at the exact same time too.
"That's the man that stole my girl from me, and then he proceeded to attack me afterwards as well." The man said to all of the people that were around him. I blinked a few times, as I was a bit confused as to what it was that the guy was even talking about in the first place.
I felt like the dude must have the wrong guy, as I did not remember attacking any one, shortly after stealing their 'girl' so to say either. As I looked at where I saw all of the eyes in the crowd were staring at, I then saw the man standing up, as he was staring right at me at the exact same time too.
I was a bit lost as to who it was for a little bit of time, as I felt like I had heard the voice before, but I was not sure as to who the guy was. I tilted my head a bit, as it was clearly a bit of a bigger guy, who seemed to be a fair bit well bit too, which confused me even more, as to what he was talking about.
I saw a lot of confused looks from the faces in the crowd, as they looked back at me, as I was a bit of a skinnier guy, who in no way shape or form could beat a guy like him up. I heard a lot of people laughing as well, as it was clear that many of those people did not believe a word of what the guy had said.
I was still a bit lost, as I did not recognize the man at all, as he had a big scar on his eye, that seemed a fair bit recent as well. I felt like that might be a lot of the reason as to why that I did not recognize him either, as I was more than likely too distracted by the big scar below his eye, that he had squinted right on me.
"What the hell is this guy talking about?" I heard one person yell in the crowd, which I could not make out as to who it was, as I did not recognize the voice at all. I was just as lost as that guy too, as I then heard the voice of another woman, who was from the council table speak as well. "Come on... We are wasting far too much time... Its going to get dark soon..."
I heard a lot of shouts of agreement from the crowd too, which I was thankful for as well. I still was not sure what to do, as luckily enough for me, I still remembered as to what it was that I was going to say before all of this mayhem had started, but I was not sure how much that would really help, as all the people in the crowd were far too distracted at the current moment.
I looked over to Travis for some form of help, as I saw that he was not too happy still. He locked eyes with me, as I saw him roll those eyes as well, as he pointed his hand over to the podium that I was at, as it was clear that he was telling me to just ignore the guy, and just begin my talk.
I nodded to him, as I realized that he was right as well, as we were in fact wasting a fair bit of time too. I then turned my head, and I looked back to the crowd, as I gulped a little bit, and then I sighed to my self, as I was just about ready to go ahead and go through with my plan of what it was that I was even going to say.
Just as I was about to do so as well, I then heard some one else in the crowd step up, and begin to speak too. I was about to slam my hand in to the podium in a bout of frustration, but luckily I held my anger in, as I shook my head over to the person, as I listened to what it was that he had to say as well.
"Chad... Stop bullshitting! You attacked him first, and he did not steal your girl. Your girl left you, because you treated her like shit..." I heard the person step up and speak at the same time as well. I felt like I had heard that guys voice from a long time ago as well, but I was so lost in my head at the current moment, that I had not a clue as to who either of these people were, and what the hell they were talking about.
It was as if this was some sort of play, and I was cast in to a role that I had not a clue as to how to play that role. It felt almost like a dream as well... Like a weird dream that I had long ago. I knew that the dragon dreams were a lot more weird how ever, so it felt dumb of me to call it like that.
I shook my head though, as I tilted my head at the same time as well, as I was a bit lost on what it was that was going on at the same time too. I had not a clue as to who these people are, and what the hell they were talking about. I wondered if this was some how some sort of scripted story that a bunch of people had made up to take me down.
It kind of scared me at that thought as well, as it gave me shivers as to the fact, and the thought that there could already be people trying to take me down for some reason. I blinked a few times, as I then shook my head at the same time too, as I shook off all of those thoughts.
I knew that I should not let that get the best of me, and if they were making up some kind of story to make me look bad as well, than I was sure that the people in the crowd could easily tell that I had not a clue as to what was going on at the current moment. I could tell that a lot of the people felt the exact same as I did too.
I also saw that a lot of them were not happy at all with what was going down, as many of them had given up on this at this point, which was kind of a bit of a surprise to me, as it felt like most people always wanted to delve deep in to some drama, any time that it seemed to come their way.
I stood there for a little while longer, as I looked at the person that had just spoken as well, as it seemed like what he had said almost seemed to be true, unlike the other guy, as he had his head held high, and he was well spoken with what he had said. I tilted my head at the same time too, as I felt like I actually genuinely recognized this guy at the same time too.
As I stared at him for a little while longer, it then hit me as to who the guy was. He was a neighbor of mine, when I lived at Uncles apartments, as well as the fact that I had also worked with him for several years, when I had been working at Pops bar, before all of this crap had happened.
It was Tom... It came as a bit of a surprise to me as well, as I had remembered going past the bar, as that place was burnt down before we had got to the apartments, which were also burnt down when we were there too. He most have not been at either of them, as most people had been in their homes, as they had not a clue as to what was going out side, and were too scared to go in.
That was what killed most of the people too, as it was not the actual dragons that killed them, besides in Pops case, but it was more the fire that had burnt down all of the buildings. I shivered as I did my best to shake off all of those memories at the exact same time too, as I hated thinking back on them.
I was still a bit confused by the name Chad too, as I still was not sure as to what either of them were talking about in the first place. I felt like I had heard the name Chad a few times, but at the same time as well, it was quite of a bit of a common name, so I could not be all to sure about that.
I closed my eyes for just a second or so, as I tried my best to remember who it was that had spoken up to me before all of this. Chad... I remember Julia telling me about a guy named Chad, a couple of times. I was not too sure as to why that was of any importance to me how ever, as he was simply just one of her exs.
I stood there with my eyes closed, for just a little bit longer, as I was not sure as to how it was of any sort of importance to me at the current moment right now. But just as I was about to shake off those thoughts how ever, it then hit me at the exact same time too.
Chad... That was the guy that had come in to the bar that one night, and told me that I had stole his wife. Julia of course was his wife, which I had gone to that assumption right away. I opened my eyes, as I then turned them back over to the guy, who was still stood up with a very angry look on his face.
He really looked a lot different than I remember, which I was sure had a lot to do with the fact that I was so fixated on the scar that he must have some how got from trying to escape a dragon. He was also a lot more buff than I remember too, as I remember him being more bigger on the chubbier side the last that I had seen of him.
I blinked a few times, as I felt kind of bad for him, but at the same time, I also knew that Tom was right as well, and he was in fact the one that had attacked me first. I also was kind of annoyed to that he had to bring all of that up, and make a big scene about it too.
I shook my head at the same time too, as I was about to speak once again, but not for the first time either, he began to yell back to the crowd, as it was clear that he was kind of desperate for a lot of attention. I rolled my eyes, as I then listened to what it was that he had to say back to every one.
"I was drunk that night... He pushed the argument to the point to where I had to go after him... He didn't have to fuck me up so bad..." He said to every one. I once again heard a lot of laughs from a lot of the people, as they saw that he was a lot bigger than me, and it was clear that they found it funny that I had some had managed to beat the hell out of him.
I almost wanted to laugh at the same time too, as I thought back on it. He had gotten a good hit off on me, as he had managed to break my jaw. As well as the fact that he was not nearly as built back then, as he was now. He was still a lot bigger than me how ever, and I still found it funny that he was still not able to beat me, in the fact that it was also my first fight ever.
I held in my laughter though, as I knew that it would be quite a bit childish of me to do a thing as such, as I shook my head at the same time, as I just stood there, and enjoyed the laughter of all of the people that were laughing at him. It did not seem to bother him at all how ever, to my surprise, as he did not seem to be all that worried about his self esteem.
I shook my head at the same time too, as I saw in the horizon ahead of me, that it was starting to get darker and darker, and I was still yet to even start with what it was that I was going to say. I suppose that I did not have to say much after all, as that was what the people had told me in the tent.
I just still kind of felt like it was better for me to start sooner rather than later on all of this. I blinked a few times, as I once again got off of those important thoughts, as I heard the voice of Tom, as he began to speak right back to Chad once again, and I listened as to what it was that he had to say to him at the same time as well.
"You sucker punched him... You still lost as well... Plus, you are supposed to be a better fighter when you are drunk dip shit..." He said, as the crowd then erupted in to laughter once again, even louder than before too, as it seemed like no one was worried about the fact that this was taking far too long.
I wanted to join them in the laughter, but I was really starting to get tired of all of it at this point, as I just squinted my eyes at the crowd, as they were paying me no sort of attention, as it seemed like this was a brawl of words between the both of them, and Tom had a big lead right now.
I dipped my head a bit low to the ground, as I was actually beginning to get not just mentally tired of standing here, but also physically tired too, as I had not gotten much sleep for a very long time, and John had been keeping me a fair bit busy as well, with all of his training and other things.
I let out a bit of a loud sigh, as I turned my head at the exact same time too, as I heard foot steps begin to draw a bit close to me again, and I turned my head over, just to see who it was that was heading over to me. To no surprise at all, as I was not sure why I would think that it could be any one else, it was Travis that was coming up.
It was clear that he was not joining up with the rest of the crowd in the laughter, as it did not seem like he found any of this too amusing to him at all. I did not either, as I did not blame him for him not being happy by any of this, at the current moment in time.
I was also a bit upset by it, as I just wanted to get all of this over with. It was almost like I was back at the bar, with all of the laughter, and hearing the voice of Tom. I knew that it was not the case at all how ever, as the bar no longer existed, and I was actually trying to get some thing important done as well.
I moved out of the way of Travis, as it looked like he was about to bull through me towards the podium, as I was a bit frightened by it. I stared at Travis, as I saw him look at all of the people that were in the crowd right now, as they were still laughing their asses off.
He then shook his head, as he slammed his hand on the podium, a lot louder than I had as well, but it was still not enough to get the attention of the crowd at the current moment. None of that really mattered how ever, as Travis began to yell to all of the people in the crowd, as if they were a whole bunch of toddlers or drunks, which to be fair they were acting like at the current moment.
I stared at Travis, as I nodded to him at the same time too, even though I knew that he could not see me do so. As soon as he had begun to yell to the whole crowd too, they all seemed to step laughing, as it all seemed to get a bit serious when he spoke, as I listened to what it was that he had to yell to all of them at the exact same time as well.
"For fucks sake! None of this matters right now! Set aside your god damn differences for one second, so that we can do the actual reason that this meeting was called?!" He yelled to all of them. The crowd that was erupting in laughter just a few moments before now, seemed to turn in to dead silence after what it was that he had just said to all of them.
I saw many of them nod back to him too, as it was clear that all of the fun and games were now over, and it had all gotten all of the sudden ever so serious. I let out a bit of a quiet sigh at the same time too, as I was a bit grateful for Travis for once, as I was starting to get a bit tired of all of them too.
Travis turned his head over to me, and then he rolled his eyes, as if he felt like he was talking to a bunch of idiots that were in the crowd. He then looked right at me, and he then nodded to me, as it was clear that he was telling me that it was now my time to step up and speak to all of them.
He moved out of the way of the podium, as I went up to it at the same time too. I looked at all of the people that were in the crowd, as they had their eyes wide open at me. It was clear that no one was going to speak this time, and it was safe for me to do so my self, which I did in fact decide to do.
"I am sorry about that every one... Any ways... This meeting was called, for me to tell you about what I can do, and who I am..."
