The outrageousness on Goldnard's strained face suppressed itself to save face. The little face he has upon having his proposal of marriage with Beatrice. Why was he so keenly asking the lady for marriage? It's because he finds a thrill in her. In the Capitol, Beatrice is the only woman who showed no interest in him. When everyone, every girl he approves of worthy being his lover, he gets except for her.

"The show had gone too far," said King Edric, dispersing the murmuring guests, calling it a long day. "I must say that the party is over." With that being said, the guests, family, and friends had gone out of the mansion, onto their carriages, to home.

Loathfully gritting his teeth due to the shameful show Beatrice and him had, Goldnard rushed to his room grudgingly.

"I'll make her– no, her family, I'll make her family suffered not just the humiliation but worse than it! I'll make her see hell right before her eyes!"
