172. Grave of Fireflies

'H-How brutal!'

"W-Was that really necessary, Esecleus?"

Zed and Remi knew it. When they first laid their eyes on the kid, their instincts immediately told them that Fritz was not their ordinary kid. From their point of view, what Fritz did was not considered benevolent or humane. He purposely tricked the four other Players into thinking that the trap was nothing to be afraid of, making the Players let their guard down.

"What can I do about it? They were using us as bait for the traps. Is it our responsibility to tell them that there was an active trap? If you don't like how I handle things, you two are free to leave me alone."

No, Fritz gave them the apathetic cold look. The eyes of someone who does not care about anyone but his own. Just by looking at his crimson pupils sent shivers down their spine. It was not Fritz staring back at them but someone more atrocious. They bit their lower lip, suppressing themselves from saying anything further.
