Chapter 313: Birth of a New Beginning

In the bleak midwinter where wolves were howling at night, and the moon was shining so bright, a mother's loud groan filled the lamp-lit house in which so on a baby's hysterical cry exchanged places with the groans.

As the baby was being wiped by the midwife in front of the open wide legs of the weak and exhausted woman, a man, who looked utterly worried barges in. His face was sweating, and he was out of breath, a sign that he must have run all the way from where he came from.

"How's my baby," the father spoke, immediately tending to his wife, who was yearning for his hand.

He held her hand as tight as he could and took a look at the beautiful and healthy child in the midwife's arms.

"Give me some clothes for the baby. It's so cold in your house."
