Chapter 317: Negative Thoughts

Bloodied and lifeless, Malvid was in his mother's arms while the lady was blankly staring into the blinding yonder. She seemed to have been so flabbergasted that she stayed like that for a couple of minutes without uttering a single word or moving.

As though clueless and confused about his mother's reaction to his twin's death, Malvis gently moved closer to his mother from behind and gave her a warm tight embrace.

"I'm sorry... I'm sorry, Mom." He uttered the same words until Mitch was brought back to her senses.

Again, she could not bear the fate of her son, refusing to look him in the face, for she will just be void of emotions and sympathy after wailing for so long.

"Come on, Malvis. Get off me," she responded, which her son immediately did. "We still have to bury your brother."

Painful, but she had to bid her farewell to one of her sons.

"Oh, dear god, was taking my husband not enough that you had to take my son too?"
