#3: GreyScale

Lilliana and I went to the most popular boutique, Camilla boutique. It had the newest trends, well.... You know... Lilliana and I came to shop here for the dresses to the upcoming spring ball.

As usual, she chose the most expensive dress, and ran out saying she had some work and she would meet me tomorrow, still expecting me to pay for her clothes, I simply did that,

"Please send the bill to the Count of Bellis, He shall pay the bill for his daughter's clothes.", I said to the attendant of the boutique.

It is well known, that Count Bellis, was old fashioned, and believed that girls must not be spending excess money, or trying to do 'manly works' etc. That was the reason, she always asked me for 'favors' of fifty thousand gold or seventy thousand silver.

Similar to my previous life, On the way back, I got lost, Yes, it seems silly, I lived two lives, but no sense of direction? Huh.... What can I do? I don't remember the map of the capital.

I kept walking and came face to face with danger. I came into the Greyscale area. The famous dark alleyway which is the perfect place for crime and poverty. It is filled with thugs, orphans and poor people. The fact which kept the imperial knights from raiding it was that in the Greyscale is an assassination guild Snowfox (Similar to Snow-white hah!).

The infamous guild which did the dirty work of the emperor to remove loyal officers of the previous emperor etc. It also did other jobs like finding rare herbs, jewels etc. It has a sister guild in Darius Empire called, FlameFox (They ran out of names maybe :P)

The guild never interferes in politics, the never fight for the empire, only for money. Wow! I got it. If I join the guild, and kill the second bastard hair(I mean the second prince) ( Kaiser also means hair) I can escape.... wait.. it sounds ridiculous but I shall try...

"Hey lady"

Now what? I turned around and came across a marvelous situation, I was being cornered. Well no thanks..

Some hooligans trying to kidnap me for riches. Wow! Classic! Must I wait for a knight in shining armor ? or a charming valiant prince on a white horse?

No way, I have my pride. Though I can't fight. I need to run. I ran. I am quite impressed of myself that I could run. I had always turned my back on physical training due to the suggestions of my 'dearest friend' Lilliana that it would make me seem unwomanly and unattractive. Thus I never learnt how to wield a sword or a bow.

"Catch that woman, and we can get at least ten thousand gold for her, If her family doesn't want her, she will warm our bed brothers.", the supposed leader shouted.

I ran thinking, surprisingly I was making important life decisions while running for life. It seemed suspicious that wherever I went it was without people. There's gotta be someone right?

Then I saw, there were people, but whenever they heard a sound, they ran back home, as if there was no one. I can't blame them. But my stamina was not limitless like bastardhair's(Kaiser's) douchebagness.

I soon stopped, I hit a dead end. Damn. I turned round. And as I expected no knight nor prince. But the hooligans closing in. The boss came over and said,

"Give up lady, ye' look good, become Kaiser's girl and you will enjoy your life."

I became furious, "Kaiser? Who's he?", I asked. Because there is no way this alleyguy knows that hairtuft.

" It is me. I am the great Kaiser. The second prince has the same name as me."

I fumed up. It seemed like a good chance. I know there is no law stating I shouldn't remove my stress.. so I did the deed.

I caught the Kaiser by hair and pulled him to the corner and started stamping his face. It must be because they were tired by the marathon or they were taken aback that no one tried to stop me from bashing the boss. (Maybe they have some internal fights).

I took out all my stress and almost disfigured him. (He became bald but that is not my problem, his hair was weak)

I walked away, and people parted for me, giving me way. Nice. This is what it feels to be powerful. Though we had many servants and knights. This felt different.

The thought of being feared and served is so good. So I made a decision. I need to learn how to fight. but, My dearest family won't let me I am sure. Since I always had a sickly appearance in front of them. I once tried lifting a sword when I was ten, then I threw it away since it was heavy and it fell on my feet( just my luck). That day I fractured two bones, my wrist and my ankle.

Since then I was not allowed to do anything with extra physical exercise. I must join a knight training camp. The training camp in the Ferocie Dukedom was the best who trained marvelous knights. The commander is what made it famous, he would produce the finest knights, who were strong and brave, even respectable.

Hmmm.... Now how to get there....

"Excuse me miss, but this isn't the kind of place you should be visiting."

I turned around and saw a guy, he wore a mask and was leaning on a door. I came to senses. I was in front of a broken door.

"Why? " I asked, what could be?

"Did you have a lover's spat? Do you want to kill your boyfriend? or Do you want to remove your fiancée from the world so that you can marry your lover? or....."

"Wait... no! I don't want to kill him... I mean I don't have a lover nor a fiancée", I don't know why, I flustered and stammered.

"Then why is a lady like you doing here at the Snowfox?", he said, his purple eyes staring in with clear suspicion.

"I got lost" I answered honestly. He looked at me once again, and came closer, carried me and jumped high, I shut my eyes, it felt like we were flying, I could feel gravity trying to pull me down, it was scary and also thrilling.

"open your eyes"

I opened and I was near the boutique.

"How did you know, I was at the boutique?"

"I just guessed, I didn't know you were at boutique... I am not your stalker, I prefer girls with bounty", he said looking at my chest.

"I didn't ask your preference nor did I make an assumption that you like me"

"I was just stating facts..."

"Who are you?"

"Your enemy probably... Well I gotta go, when we meet next time, I will tell you about it. My dear hair-pulling lady.", He said smiling.

"How do you... Wait... You were there?.. "I asked

"Until the next time lady" He said.

I blushed. Damn. My fifteen year old self was really sensitive to cheesy lines. I started walking towards a park, I had asked the coachman to come pick me up when the sun sets near this park.

I never went around this park because Lilliana said it was not worth my time, Now that I check it out. It is quite beautiful...

"Ah... hmmm... Ah... Yes..."

I turned around... Wait.... What????? I followed the sound.... and saw, two people making out...(>_< uh!)

Seriously? I turned to see who it was to make this much noise, wait, Is it? That blonde, hair, no way!! Lilliana????
