I was going to inform the police about James' arrival. I was going to end what couldn't be in the past and keep my daughters safe.
"My car keys. Where are my car keys?" I asked wildly.
The guests had already left; it was just the girls and me-and the maids.
"Where are you going, Mom?" Nita asked.
I stopped and lifted my brows, searching my mind for an answer. "Erm... erm. I'm just stepping out..."
"Stepping out to where?" She came closer.
"To... to-"
"Mom, you know you can't lie to me," she said.
I gulped and moved my eyes on the television, as I spotted my keys on where it was placed. "I won't take long, honey,"
"Mother..?"
"You just have to promise me that you won't follow me." I said and went out.
Nita
Mom took long where she had gone. By the time she had arrived, it was already half past seven and my blood was hot.
"I thought you said you were only stepping out?"
She moved past me. It seemed like she had seen a ghost. Her hands were trembling as her face was pale.
"What-what happened?"
She turned.
"What happened, mother?" I yelled.
"I killed him..."
"Killed who?"
"I killed him-" Just then a siren rang.
Mom panicked as she looked at me. I wanted to understand what she was saying, but with the more sirens that were blowing, she went out through the back.

I wasn't ready to go to jail. No, not yet! I had murdered his son instead of him, and now I was paying the price.
The sirens were blowing really hard, making me unable to think. I wanted a fast route to my freedom, but was caught instead and handcuffed!
"Get in! Get in!"
"Mom! Mom!"
"It's okay, baby. Mommy will be alright." I said in tears.
Lucille was unaware that I was being shoved into the car. The thought of her being all alone-stuck with her sister, got me even teary.
"Take care of your sister, Anita. Call my lawyer-" the sirens drowned my voice.

"As stated in the constitution, section 315, Mrs MacKenny Belinda is thereby declared guilty!" the sentence was made.
I'd lost two people dearest to me. Mom... Samuel. It was unclear why she had done it.
You killed Samuel, Mom. Why? I thought with tears going out of their glands, as I stood, watching the police lead Mom away.
