Chapter 226: At Her Whim

Su Li sighed with slight frustration, aware that reasoning with him truly was futile; once he decided to cling and pester, there really was no escape for anyone.

"Forget it, as if I never said anything."

Seeing her give in, Wei Chengfeng finally nodded in satisfaction and said, "Then let's go."

Both returned to the room. Su Li flipped back the covers and lay down on the bed. As her entire back met the mattress, she couldn't help but sigh in comfort.

Wei Chengfeng stood at the foot of the bed watching her, the corners of his mouth imperceptibly curving into a faint smile.

Lying on the bed, Su Li looked at him standing at the end of it—tall and imposing.

"Um, aren't you going to sleep?"

Wei Chengfeng asked with a smirk, "Is that an invitation?"

Su Li's face turned red, yet she responded with a helpless tone, "You're overthinking it. I meant that if you're not sleeping, don't stand there blocking the light."
