Perhaps it was the headache that follows drunkenness, but Wei Chengfeng's brows remained furrowed, his eyes closed as he continued to massage his temples and then nodded gently.
Su Li just stood there, watching him in silence, until he got out of bed and walked towards her; only then did she turn to walk downstairs.
She turned off the heat, ladled the millet porridge into a bowl, and placed the pounded cucumber on the tray as well, bringing everything out together.
Placing the items before him, she turned again to fetch the honey water from the fridge and brought that out too.
"Try drinking a bit of this first, it should ease the discomfort," she suggested.
Wei Chengfeng picked up the cup and drank the honey water in one go, looking decidedly more alert than before.
"Aren't you going to ask whom I was drinking with?" he suddenly inquired.
Caught off guard by his question, Su Li hesitated slightly before answering, "Tang Mubai brought you back."
