Wei Chengfeng had left.
Sitting by the window, Su Li stared into the ink-black night sky. The cool night soothed her mind, yet she felt as if her heart had been hollowed out, leaving an empty space.
This void in her heart made her somewhat restless, even somewhat desolate.
But Su Li thought it was purely a physiological reaction. Wouldn't anyone feel this way if they stopped doing something so intense all of a sudden?
Perhaps it was the deepness of the night, even the sound of insects had faded away, leading her thoughts to spread like the boundless night sky, drifting farther and farther away.
Who had made that phone call to him?
Someone from the company?
Or... someone else?
Su Li didn't dare guess, but she couldn't help but make guesses. Yet, upon further thought, what was the use of guessing? He had already left, and even if she guessed correctly, she couldn't keep him, could she?
