Chapter 33: Where Is Your Home?

"Six thousand, sell it to me!" Yi Zichen said with a smile.

He knew that Guo Xiang was short of money, and the quality of this jade was very good. It would definitely be liked by the elders of some big families, so he was sure that he'll be able to sell it.

If he fought for it, he might still be able to leave some small trinkets for her in the future.

Guo Xiang was a little surprised. She did not expect to earn such a profit given that she had only spent three hundred yuan. She thought that the money would definitely go down the drain, but now the profile had increased twenty times.

Although it was not as much as tens of thousands of yuan, she didn't spend much for the stone anyway. She had made a lot of money.

She finally had enough money to pay back Gu Zhennan.

"Okay, I'll sell it to you. Five thousand!" Guo Xiang smiled.

This stone was bought by Yi Zichen on her behalf. If it was not for him, she would not have had the opportunity to make money.

Moreover, he didn't mind her asking for a sky-high price back then. When Huang Zhengli suspected that she had run away, he still believed in her. It was like returning a favor to him.

"Okay, thank you!" Yi Zichen curled the corners of his lips and did not refuse. He felt that this was Guo Xiang's good intention. Of course, he would not reject it.

After that, with the help of Xiao Binglin, Yi Zichen bought another two raw materials. However, he was not so lucky today. Both of them were not very good. But, it did not matter. There were always expensive goods and cheap goods in the jewelry store, customers who bought cheap items might also become potential customers who bought expensive items. Only when the flow of people increased would business be better.

Due to Guo Xiang's eye problem, Yi Zichen decided to rest for another day in Li City.

She dripped eye drops several times a day. Whenever she was free, she would close her eyes to rest. Guo Xiang's eyes slowly returned to normal.

She separated the five thousand yuan. The largest note she had now was ten yuan. There was a big bag of notes worth five thousand yuan. It was really not safe to hold it.

She took the four thousand yuan to the bank and set it aside. She kept the one thousand yuan for Gu Zhennan and kept the leftover nine hundred yuan for her own use.

Because the jade was sold to Yi Zichen at a cheap price, he did not want the three hundred yuan that he had paid. Other than the clothes that Guo Xiang had spent around 70 yuan on, there was still more than nine hundred yuan left in the one thousand yuan salary.

Now that she had money, she did not have to live like she did two months ago. She could eat meat every day.

Guo Xiang felt a little funny when she thought about it. Since when did eating meat become her wish?

"Do you want to buy some specialty products here? There is 'Border Street' here, and there sell some things that we don't have back there," Yi Zichen said.

"Okay!" Guo Xiang nodded. She could just buy some things to bring back. It was not a wasted trip.

When they reached Border Street, it was really lively. There were all kinds of goods, costumes with ethnic characteristics, and all kinds of headgear. They were colorful and exotic.

Most of these were imported from Myanmar. The mainstream clothing in China was still blue, gray, and military green, while Myanmar's was colorful and very different.

Guo Xiang took a fancy to a pink scarf. It was perfect for Guo Er. Guo Er was playful, so it would definitely look good on her.

There was also one for Wang Guiying. She chose a dark green scarf. It was simple and elegant.

She chose a gray scarf for herself. She didn't like bright red and green colors. It was better to be plain.

Yi Zichen saw that she chose a gray scarf. It looked like it was bought for a man. His heart couldn't help but jump. Who was it for?

"This color will look good on a man," Yi Zichen said calmly.

"Will it? I think it suits me," Guo Xiang tried it on her neck. "My skin is white, and the gray color suits my skin."

"It's pretty good!" Yi Zichen smiled. He was relieved that Guo Xiang didn't buy it for somebody else.

"This pink one looks good too," Yi Zichen said. Guo Xiang's white skin looked better when she wore pink.

"That's for my sister. A little girl looks better when she wears pink," Guo Xiang said with a smile.

Oh, so she has a sister too, Yi Zichen thought. Should I buy something for her to bring back?

"I bought a lot of delicious snacks. I bought too many, can you take two boxes?"Yi Zichen said.

"No need. My family doesn't like sweet food!" Guo Xiang shook her head. It would be hard to explain why she had the food, so she was too lazy.

"There are salty ones too!" Yi Zichen pointed at the pile of specialty products he bought.

Guo Xiang looked at them. There were ham cakes and dried fruits that were local specialties. She could eat them on the train, so she reached out and took two boxes. "Thank you!"

"You're welcome!" Yi Zichen smiled.

The next day, the three of them took a long-distance bus back to Kun city.

They had to return to Shen City from Kun City.

When they arrived in Kun City, Guo Xiang thought of Mu Qing. She didn't know how she was doing now, whether she had recovered or not, and whether she should go and see her.

She called her uncle's home number that Mu Qing had left for her. They said that Mu Qing had returned to Beijing and that she had returned to normal, so she didn't have to worry.

She also said that Mu Qing had said that if Guo Xiang called, she must tell her that when she arrived in Beijing, she must go and hang out with her.

Guo Xiang politely agreed and hung up the phone.

"Has that little girl recovered?" Huang Zhengli asked.

"Yes, she has already returned to Beijing. I'll look for her again in the future if I have the chance!"Guo Xiang said.

"I'm afraid I won't have the chance, but Zichen, don't you have one? Isn't your family going to open a branch in Beijing?" Huang Zhengli asked Yi Zichen.

Yi Zichen smiled. "I haven't confirmed it yet. We'll see in the future."

However, he did not have any thoughts of looking for Mu Qing. Although he had helped her a little back then, it was mainly due to Guo Xiang. He would not rashly look for her.

The three of them bought tickets to return to Shen City at the train station.

This time, Yi Zichen bought bunk tickets. He was happy that he had earned money, and he could not bear to see Guo Xiang suffer.

"Where are you going after returning to Shen City?" Yi Zichen asked Guo Xiang.

They had met at that informal talent market. Guo Xiang was most likely looking for a job from another place. He wanted to know where her home was.

"I'm going to Taiqing," Guo Xiang said.

"Your home is in Taiqing?" Yi Zichen asked tentatively.

Shen city to Taiqing was neither far nor near. They were both from the northeast.

However, Guo Xiang's accent did not sound like she was from the northeast. He was very curious.

Guo Xiang shook her head. "No, I'm going... to see a friend!"

As for going to look for Gu Zhennan for a divorce, of course, she would not say it. Although she and Yi Zichen were considered friends, they were not close to that extent.

"Then, do you... have a phone at home? If there's anything, I can look for you again!" Yi Zichen said it very tactfully. He said that perhaps Guo Xiang would not refuse work-related matters. After all, it was still very easy to earn a thousand yuan per visit.

"I don't have a phone at home."Guo Xiang shook her head. Not only did she not have a phone, she did not even have a village chief's home. Only the village committee had a phone. That place was really poor, Guo Xiang lamented in his heart.

"Then I'll give you my home number. If you're free... You can come and look for me!"bYi Zichen said.

"Okay!"bGuo Xiang nodded indifferently. "You say, I'll remember it!"

It was not a big deal to remember one more thing. Anyway, he had a good memory. As for whether or not to go to him, that would depend on his mood.

Yi Zichen pursed his lips. He was a little annoyed at his passive situation, but he could not keep asking the girl for fear of arousing her disgust. He hoped that she would remember to call him.
